The chocolate lioness had done something extremely out of character, she had approached someone new and even decided to meet with them again. Through out the previous day she followed her traveling companion at a slower pace, Shira never once whipped around to tell her to speed up, but Nerit expected it at any moment.
She waited until her companions breathing deepened as she slept and then slowly started to creep away from their current 'camp.' Would she be able to find Mafuriko, they had covered quite a bit of ground would he be anywhere near them?
She grinned a genuine grin and walked noisily through the cool night air.

Ever the pale, ghostly figure in the moonlight, Mafuriko was in fact wandering nearby. He'd gone off for a couple days in hopes of finding some sign of his sister, but he had no idea whatsoever on where or how to start looking. He was seeing variations in herds of prey animals, seeing strange lions wandering around.. but he hadn't really stopped to talk to anyone aside from asking a couple birds if they'd seen the bright blue lioness. It was surprising to him that he'd even managed to talk to some birds, having figured he'd ruined his chance of ever befriending (or even talking to) a bird after he'd chased down a few to make the gift for Kiwi.
Since he'd agreed to meet Nerit, and part of him hoped she'd had a more productive couple days, he was on his way in the general direction he'd met her before. He wasn't a brilliant hunter, but he did notice that with fewer lions passing through it was much easier to track the one scent of another- and he was sure he would find her somewhere around here, though the scent was not too strong.

She walked on her white markings dusty with the dirt of the savanna, emerald eyes searching. Her fear of getting caught ebbed away the farther she got from Shira, the lioness seemed not to have noticed before or said nothing. The farther she went the more she felt the shell that kept her bitter and quiet slipped away. It was like turning into a different lioness away from the pride, she wasn't faithful Nerit, she was like who she had been when her and Unyezi might have worked out, happy and feeling free for once.
Her eyes scanned the area but the only thing she found that might be Mafuriko was his scent on the wind, "Riko?" she whispered loudly, more of a hiss than trying to

Surprisingly attentive, Riko caught sight of the dark lioness just before she hissed out his name. She was close enough that he had heard her and so that she could be seen despite her dark fur. He couldn't help but smirk when he saw her, there was something oddly exciting about this- and it made him feel important and liked. Poor boy needed some friends, otherwise he might not react so strongly to this.
"Nerit," he greeted, turning fully to face her, "Well well, looks like I found you after all."

"There you are handsome," she beamed, "I thought we wouldn't meet up again." She turned spotting his ghostly figure. "This feels exciting like we're doing something taboo." She commented, it was exciting, her heart fluttered in her chest.
"Any luck finding Kiwi?" She inquired her giant grin adding a bit, it would be awful if he never found his sister again, and she found her self actually caring about the female's safety. Sitting down beside him she looked up wondering what he thought about their meeting and if he found any leads on Kiwi.

The egotistical lion puffed up when she called him handsome, by no means at all modest. His grin widened as she commented on the excitement, a part of him glad (and his ego boosted further) that she felt something like him about it. He didn't realize (and probably never really would) that their reasons for it were so very different.
"Always happy to provide a little excitement," he commented brightly, and it was one very true thing- though he classed chaos in with excitement. It'd been a little while since he'd managed to have any fun and excitement, too, with everything that had happened. His expression dimmed a bit when she asked about Kiwi, the answer clearly not so cheery and he only shook his head.

"Well, I'm sure it's a matter of time before you find her or someone who has seen her, maybe she's already gone home?" She offered hopefully. "So handsome.." she thought about asking a million questions but did not know where to start. She knew he stood out and so did his sister, but were all his family brightly colored. "What is your family like? And your pride? You said they were very large, how large?"
She sounded like a child needing to know everything, she was not unintelligent, just set in her own ways along with being isolated within her own pride. He was a link to an outside source, something she had never had.

How ironic (and frustrating!) it would be if Kiwi had found her way home while Riko was out looking for her, and it seemed logical too. Kiwi knew where home was, Riko had no clue where she could be. Maybe he was just off on a wild goose chase. The idea was soothing, made it easier to cheer back up. Not to mention her muttering about his good looks had him distracted.
"My family is quite big, I have four siblings and a nephew- and he just a whole bunch of cubs. Not to mention there are family members around I haven't even met," he explained, then puffing up importantly he added, "And I'm everyone's favorite uncle, of course."
He winked.
"My family is just one really small part of the pride, though," he continued to answer her second question, "There's got to be over a hundred of us, pretty much anyone is welcome and I guess it's a good place for cubs because there never seems to be too few of them around." Habu had just had 8 of them, after all. He wasn't helping that issue, haha.

It would be quite a shock for Nerit to know that her own half sister was in the Pride Lands that she never knew about and that had a relation to Riko's nephew. She nodded listening to what he had to say and then her eyes widened at the thought of a hundred lions all listening to one king and living in harmony. Her pride was large, that was for sure, but she couldn't be sure it was a hundred lions before the war.
"It seems that you are family oriented, that's very sought after in a male," she mused.
"The pride I am from there are a very small amount of I'd say more than 10 less than twenty five of us right now, bad things happened in our past and now we are looking to expand and to find a new homeland." she paused, "I hope we are near your pride, seeing you makes me very happy." it was her attempt at flirting, poor gal has been out of the game too long.

"I suppose you could say that," Riko agreed offhandedly, he never really got much exposure outside of his family but he knew that so he couldn't really deny it. And he couldn't help but grin at how it was a very sought after trait, though he hardly felt he was the type for romance or love- and that was sure that was how she meant it. He may not be for it, but that didn't mean he'd really stop anyone else from liking or wanting him.
That thought in mind, and the way she was acting.. Hmm..
He sad down and curled his tail around his feet, a new mysterious smile on his face. "Small pride," he commented, "Why couldn't you settle around here? Suppose you'd get sick of me?"
( convenient character revelation o.o )

"We need high cliffs and a special plant because of our religious beliefs, we need the plant, that's the reason we're traveling so far, the shaman I am with is the one who knows the most about the herbs, I would assume." What was his odd little grin for her nose scrunched in confusion and interest.
"What're you thinking about?" She thought he was possibly thinking of something funny or some sort of revaluation.
Her foot was beginning to cramp the way she say so she stood stretching each back leg individually, the muscles in her back pulling taunt. Then on to her front legs as she tried to work out the cramp. Sitting back down she was considerably closer to Riko's body.

Riko listened, though not with too great of interest. From what he gathered about this pride, it depended a lot on the moon and on some plant that happened to not be around here. It was.. interesting, but at the same time not something he was sure he was interesting in understanding fully. Without genuine desire to know, he wouldn't keep much of it in mind anyway.
"Nothing," he said, watching her for a moment as she stretched out and quickly looking away when she sat down beside him. He wasn't so hot at small talk, but he would make something up- and he glanced up at the sky, "I was thinking, the other night was awful nice but tonight.."

"Something is wrong with tonight?" she questioned. She wondered if he meant the weather or their actual meeting together there was something wrong with, he did not seem upset, perhaps he was happier this night than the last? Doubt entered her mind if it was such a good idea to meet the lion again.
She could feel the heat radiating off of him and she blushed, she thought of a very intimate way to make a night better if there was something wrong. Heat rose to her face filling her cheeks, she was lucky she was brown or he would be able to see the crimson beneath.

"No, no," he assured her, glancing down from the moon to her. He could see there was something in her expression, though he couldn't tell she was blushing or quite figure out exactly what she was thinking. However, everything seemed to be going the same way he was imagining, he would be very surprised if he were truly imagining things. Of course, he might be surprised if he could actually pull something like this off.
"I think it's a much better night."
