-- AIM Rp between Nuhusi and Sverrah ((Ary and DFA)) Nuhusi had to admit, visiting the jungle was always a treat. She wouldn't trade it for traveling, obviously, but it was a lovely change of pace. Trees were naturally the home of leopards and she was more then happy to be among them again. She lay her dark form against a study limb, her orange eyes gittering in the shattered sunlight of the canopy. Sliding out a thing claw she scratched a few symbols into the wood. Prayers to the spirits, of course. Then she curled her front paws under her body and leaned her cheek against the smooth surface. Mmm...nothing beat a perch in the treetops. It was something she wouldn't forget.Rah was used to the jungle; granted, he was also fond of travelling here and there... meeting new faces, poking about ned creatures to taunt, but alas, all in all, the jungle was a paradise as far as he was concerned. Not only did it offer him perfect perches from which to watch the lesser creatures, but it also offered ahh.... quite the lovely view, now and again.
Lovely views like the one he was currently enjoying; the dark leopardess had arrived only moments ago, and had settled herself on a random tree branch, a few away from the male whom allowed himself to regard her shamelessly. Why shouldn't he? After all, he was not foolish enough to deny beauty the oportunity to be watched."Mmm..." Nuhusi stretched, moving out her hind legs and letting her tail slide to hang below her. Her whiskers rubbed against the grains and she twisted to pull her paws up near her face. Her tail curled as she got settled and it was only as a light breeze rattled in broken breaths through the trees that she noticed she was not alone. The scent was of her own species, a nice change in all reality, and seemed to be male. Her mouth twisted a little in amusement. Company hmmm? She loved the prospect. So she called out in her low alto, "Company is far more pleasant when near, don't you agree?"Still the male watched; not in a bothersome way, or even a creepy way, but rather... reminiscent of the way one would watch a sunset. As far as Rah was concerned, she'd chosen her perch, and who was HE to interrupt her lovely nap? This didn't mean he couldn't get a bit of eye candy while he was silently indulging in some rest himself; beauty was so rare to come by...
He let out a sigh at the though; he's seen so few leopards as of late. No one could blame him for indulging himself in the unadultured pleasures of life, if only for a while.
An ear twitched at her voice, a low chuckle resounding, "That would depend, my Dear, if it is wanted, or not. One can never be sure which is which these day," the voice that called back to her was melodic, almost taunting, yet not obnoxiously so, "Nothing is what it seems," he twisted his body to look towards her again, smirk upon his lips, "So which is which?""Oh, I am more then open for company," Nuhusi laughed, the sound almost like a deep bell. She sat up slightly, so that her head was no longer resting against the branch. Instead she looked at him with a warm smile, her white whiskers lifting in the processs. She brought her tail back up, only to flick it in his direction. A beconning. "Come on. You wouldn't leave a poor thing like me all alone, would you?"

"Are you really?" the voice taunted back before the male stretched upon his branch, dropping down to her level, though still remaining a tentative distance away; after all, an invitation for him to join her did not necasarily mean he should invade her personal space. Unless she so wished to, of course; instantly, the smirk reached his maw again, his eyes taking in her form shamelessly, "Of course not, my dear; anything to keep such a lovely little thing such as yourself out of the grasps of solitude," he waved a paw then, almost dramaticaly before refocussing his attention back on her, "So then; whom do I have the pleasure of ahh... resting with, this fine day? My name is Sverra."
Such a dramatist. She watched his movements with a clear smile of amusement, her ears lazily perked forward to catch his words. He was a sarcastic one, was he? She found it rather interesting, since normally she ran into males that were either passive or used far too much flowery language. Not that he wasn't keeping his language sophisticated, or at least he was aiming to do so by what she could tell. "I am called Nuhusi," she replied as was tradition in her believes, her intrigued expression remaining, "A pleasure, Sverra."
As she took him in, it was obvious the male was doing likewise; observing her reactions to all what he did. She remain lazily reclined, with a hint of amusement dancing in her eyes. Sverra swiftly decided he liked this one; not only could she take a joke, but she knew sarcasm when she heard it, and reacted amused to it, rather than offended. Granted, those that were offended were amusing to pick on, but from time to time, it was enjoyable to meet someone that wasn't all that high strung and could sit back... enjoy life a little.
The smirk remain as he lay himself on the branch, his tail twitching, then sliding off to hang bellow then, "Lovely name; does it mean anything, my dear?" a brow arched then, his nose wrinkling, "Mine means swirl, twisted," a chuckle as he looked up to the sky that barely managed to peeked between the trees, "Names amuse me."
"Mean?" She leaned back a little, as if mauling loosely over the idea. It was quite a story, the meaning of her name. But she had never been much of a story teller. So she replied casually, her voice remaining silky and warm, "Well, it means 'bad luck'. My father thought as much when he found I was the only one left." She did not explain or elaborate, because she found it a boring tale. No, there were more interesting things to talk about.
"But," her eyes gleamed brightly as she grinned, "I find the color to be quite lucky, actually." She followed her mother's beliefs. The spirits blessed those that humbled themselves and cursed those who tried to immitate them. White was a color of the spirits...those of all white were cursed. Black, being the opposite of what the spirits were, was blessed. That was what she truly thought, anyway.
"Yes," he reclined his head against a paw, waving his other slightly, "What does it mean? Is there a meaning behind it? A story?" he smirked as he watched her; she was pondering over something, that much was obvious, "My mother told me she named me Sverra because I was rather weird as child," it was said shamelessly, without a hint of any negative emotion for some reason, "I'd use to come up with the wildiest stories to get out of blame. Twisted ones... ones that made no sense, and she said I'd always make my escape when she was too busy trying to figure out the tale I was weaving. She'd originaly named me something else, but she changed my name to Sverra."
It was a small story, but perhaps enough to tug hers out of whatever box she'd closed it within, "Bad luck; such a strange meaning..." he nudged her forward with just those words, a brow arched, though he did not truly expect her to elaborate. A pause, "Hmmm... color you say?" he seemed intrigued, "What would yellow lead you to think of?" he himself was mostly yellow. And orange.

"Well, my father did not believe like my mother and I. When she and my litter mates were killed...he thought it was because of the black," Nuhusi shrugged. One might expect harsh emotions from such a tragic event, but she didn't believe in such things. She didn't believe in regrets. If the event had taught her anything, it was to live while you could. Life was short and there wasn't time for holding back.
She smiled slyly as he asked the question. He didn't know it, but she had already assessed his color. She did it with everyone, really. Spirits judged partly by color, since it was meant to be an imprint left from your soul and the soul of your ancestors, and on your current soul. Color could tell a lot. "Yellow? It is a color of the prosperous. The spirits love to bless those of gold hues, but sometimes a bad spirit will feel envious or vengeful and curse them instead. But usually it is simply the good spirits that are drawn to such a hue."
A brow arched again, almost as if surprised by the admisson; that was just a strange thing... a father naming a daughter 'bad luck' was something he'd not yet encountered. Sverra himself knew he was a b*****d, but he wasn't THAT much of a b*****d as to name an innocent child that, "Ahhh.." he smiled at the trees again, "To each their own," he dropped that string of though instantly, discarding it as easily as he'd pick it up.
A black hued ear perked as he listened to her, a low rumble of a chuckle released, "Karma," he told her as she finished talking; he believed in luck. In fact, Sverra was supersticious enough to... tread the world carefuly in some ways. Oh yes, he gained pleasure from mocking others, and from picking on them, however, he'd never laid paw on anyone, and had in turn at times, guided strangely lost souls.... albeit with taunts left and right.
All in all, what mattered was that at the end of the day, taunts aside, he'd managed to help more than one, "Prosperous, eh?" he seemed to ponder this then smirked at her, "I suposse I can't complain. I've not got anything I need that I don't have."
