"...And that, Ziggydog, is why Shammi is not allowed to have a toaster!" Shammi said happily to the tiny dog who was, once again, riding in her pocket. Ziggy wore a look of suffering on his little features, but Shammi didn't notice.
She kept right on jabbering until something hit her face.
Something wet.
Oh. God. RAIN.
"ZiggyDOG. THE SKY IS MAD AT ME." Shammi howled, pulling her goggles over her eyes and her jacket up over her head. Oh God, where to go, where to go?! Aha! Porch! Shammi dashed up the lane and up the stairs, hoping that whomever owned the house wouldn't mind a sudden lizardy intrusion on their porch. Oh, God. Wet. WET. THERE WAS WET ON SHAMMI.

Aylee was in at least one way the exact opposite of Shammi. She loved the rain. Loved water, and swimming, and RAIN. As soon as her monitors in the basement registered that it had started raining, she zoomed up the stairs from the basement, nearly collided into Ryuu only didn't, and ran out the front door.
...
Only to find herself knocking into a bright green lizardy thing, and falling to the ground. Yay for first introductions! "Hi! Uhmsorry!" She stood and brushed off her own clothes, "Are you alright?" She leaned over and picked up her glasses which had fallen off her head when she'd hit the ground. Fortunately they weren't broken. Yay!

Shammi blinked, toes clicking against one another. She tilted her head and looked down into her pocket. "Are you okay?" She asked. There was a bark, and Shammi grinned.
"Yes, Lady-Who's-Porch-Shammi-Is-Borrowing! I am fine!" Shammi climbed to her feet, shaking out her jacket and moving the goggles off of her eyes. "I hope you do not mind. I do not like when the sky is mad at me. May I hide here until the rain stops?"

As Shammi looked into her pocket, Aylee tilted her head to the side in confusion. A bark? Did she have a little toy dog in there or summut?
"I'm glad you're fine! But the rain isn't mad at you! Rain comes when the sky is happy! They're tears of joy." Aylee gave her best (and also cheesiest) smile, and danced out in the rain. "But if you fear it that much, than sure you may stay. The rain is quite pleasant, however." She did a little twirl and then bowed.

"Shammi has a Ziggydog!" Shammi reached into her pocket with her large claws, using them with great care, and brought out the little dog. He growled at this new person who frolicked in the manner of the Eri.
"Me and Ziggydog don't like the rain. It gets in his legs, and it makes me feel funny." Blame the chameleon, or blame the fact that Shammi had been raised by a woman who would forget her in the bath tub, but Shammi did not like water.

Aylee immediately stopped in her rain dancing at the sight of the dog, "IT'S SO CUTE!" She flounced over and took a better look at it, "And it's got little metal legs! It's SO CUTE." She grinned. "I could probably water proof those legs, if you want!"
...Or maybe that wasn't such a good idea. She was getting better, but most of the electronic items she tinkered with still exploded. Might be best no to play with a cyborg dog's legs.
"I grew up under the sea, so I looove water. I could spend all day in it. That's why I came out here!" She looked up at the sky, "The rain isn't so bad once you get used to it. Unless it's acid rain, then it'll burn holes in your skin the size of dimes. Don't want that to happen."

Ziggy looked at this strange human in alarm. It was dangerously close to his personal space, and the personal space of his Little One. The hair on his spine rose up and he growled, barking at the intruder. You would not attack his little one!
"Mmm, Shammi has been told not to mess with Ziggydog's legs. So you shouldn't either." Shammi smiled, patting him on the head with one claw. "This is Ziggy, and I am Shamilade. Like Shangri La. But most people call me Shammi. Shammis do not like the water, because they are lizards."

Aylee stared at the tiny dog for a little longer, then smiled again, "It's nice to meet you too, Shammi like Shangri La and Ziggydog!" She stood to her full height and put a hand on her hip, "My name is Aylee, and I'm the owner of this here house. And the rest of the estate. Nice to meet you!"
Of course, it was technically Kunny who owned the house, but really, since she had her brother both had the same signature, and used the same name... Well, it could get complicated.
"I thought lizards liked water, though? Hmm. I shall have to do research!"

"It's nice to meet you Aylee." Shammi smiled, putting on her goggles again and looking out at the rain. Ew, water. "Shammis do not like water, because, sometimes, you drown. In the bathtub. Shammi's mommy was not very attentive some times."

"Well Shammi's mommy SHOULD have paid more attention to her," said Aylee, frowning. "Or at least taught her how to survive in a bathtub." Maybe grow fins. "We Aylees have fins and gils! But they're not obvious. I can switch between legs and a tail, if I concentrate." She had, for Halloween two years ago. Yay Halloween! She'd missed it this past year, which was a pity. She always got to dress her kids up in silly costumes for one day a year. "Does Shammi like Halloween?"

"Eri couldn't help it. She was broken inside. Now she's fixed, and wouldn't let me drown." Shammi smiled and petted Ziggy with one claw. "And, yes. Halloween is fun. I like costumes. The candy is gross, so I give that to the other kids. That makes them less afraid of Shammi!"
Because, for some reason, Kids were afraid of big teeth and claws and the sometimes tongue.

"If your mommy was still broken, I'd adopt you!" Aylee said, perhaps a bit too happily, "All of my children hate costumes. Except Cyrus and Casper, but I have a lot of kids. It's very sad." Especially Solo. He'd HATED the costumes, regardless of how cute they were.
"I like the candy, or at least the chocolate. Candy corn is yucky, though." She listened to the patter patter of the rain for a moment, "Does Shammi's mommy make her costumes, or does Shammi buy them?"

"Eri is fixed now. Her brain is human and squishy now, and she has a Norny and a Helly and is growing a baby. It is all strange and amazing, and there are hugs. The end." Shammi smiled, leaning on the porch.
"And sometimes we get them from the store. Eri knows how to make things now, though, expecially ever since the baby appeared in her Tummy. She didn't know she could knit."

"Oooh. Baby! Babies are cute, just like mini-dogs. I should clone the mini-dog, he's too cute." Again with the rambling! Yay! "Hugs are good too, though." Aylee really didn't get them, though. None of her children were touchy-feely, and the only person she got hugs from was Kunny, and only when she was really depressed. Oh how sad her life was!
Costumes made her happy though. "I make mine, and the ones for my children and other people in the house. I have a machine to help me. It's fun!" And thought for a moment, "I don't know how to knit, though. Is it hard?"

"She will have a baby in... Two months. And it will be cute, and they will be happy. An army of Ziggydogs would be fun. Little of this, little of that, put it in a a tank and poof!" Ziggy jumped, giving her a look. Shammi laughed.
"And Eri can do it. Shammi can not." She clicked her strange fingers at Aylee. "Her hands is not made for it."
