Salaya walked down a path leading to the closest village. "It's ok, Vidar. There's no one around."
Somewhere in the shadows she head a faint growl.
"Vidar, don't be ridiculous."
A shadow approached from below and soon after a wolf with wings materialized next to her.
"Thank you," she patted his head and he glared at her.
"The village isn't far away and we need food." She looked at the shadow next to her. "Ok, fine. I need food."
The shadow growled.
"Where?" Salaya got her chakrams out and held them behind her back, waiting.
Vidar howled and a group of traveling thieves surrounded them.
"Why didn't you tell me they were here before, Vidar?" The shadow smiled. "Right, I forgot how much you like to fight. She nodded at the wolf. "Well, you may fight now as much as you'd like." Salaya grinned. "Esh!" she muttered under her breath and her chakrams were burning with a blue flame.
The thieves looked nervous and a couple started to run away.
"Not so fast!" She threw a chakram at the one furthest away and he fell tumbling to the ground in pain.
"Vidar, will you do the honors?" The shadow grinned and pounced upon its pray. A moment later, the thief was gone.
Salaya grinned. "Good bye!" She yelled and threw the other chakram into the air. "Ha!" The rest of the group was covered in flames and Vidar pounced on them.
Once the thieves were gone, Salaya smiled. "You'd think that by now, with everything that's going on, thieves would be more cautious."

Nikki sat in a corner, dark so that no one could see her. Her golden yellow eyes saw everything in front of her, picking up every little detail. She mostly saw men drinking their ale and whatever, nothing worth watching.
She lept to the window and quitely ran away to the forest. There she saw some thieves. Following them she came upon girl. A sorceress. Nikki watched the scene unfold in front of her.
After it was over she changed. Slowly she walked out of the shadows to confront the girl.
"Who are you?" Nikki demanded. "I've seen many people along this road, but never a sorceress. What buisness do you have in this town?"

Vidar engulfed the last of the thieves and Salaya sighed. "Your appetite for battle gets on my nerves some times. We could have avoided that whole scene back there."
Vidar snorted and jumped back.
"More?"
The wolf growled and disappeared into the shadows, but she could feel his eyes watching very intently. A girl appeared a minute later. "I am but a mere traveler. I am only here to purchase some food and I will be on my way. I pose no threat to this town." She answered, bowing slightly. "My name is Salaya, but I'm also known as Saya."
