Why do INxx types like the internet so much? Most of the internet population seems to be INxx. N types also like the internet, but not so much as INxx types. Why don't extroverts tend to be online so much? Why don't sensors tend to be online so much?
-What's your type?
-Why do you go online?
-Would you say you spend too much time online?
-Do you "depend" on the internet? Or not?
-Why?
-Thoughts.
I particularly want to hear from extroverts and sensors - ESxx types, if that's at all possible online! ^^

INTJ here.
Part of me thinks that's fairly obvious. One who is introverted is going to have a harder time socializing. On the internet, socializing is far less intimidating and "safer." It's certainly much easier to maintain and awkward situations are far easier to alleviate. As for the sensory sort, I'm going to guess they want something to actually sense. The internet is purely visual, while I'd suspect a sensory sort is going to want to feel tree bark or something rather than just talking about it like we do on the internet.
I think extroverts are more exhilarated by interactive socialization so they will hand out in crowds more than being "cooped up" by a computer with no one really around them.
I am a performer... I am introverted by my nature but that doesn't mean I don't like to socialize or be around people. I am simply tired of the erratic partying lifestyle rather quickly. I go online because it is the largest network in the world... I will never be alone and not have someone to talk to here.
I think I do spend a bit too much time on here, but not as much as some. I am still a fairly busy person in a lot of respects... For many years the internet was a bit of an addiction for me, but I do not believe I ever depended on it.
Sorry that I'm not an ESXX. xp

=D It's okay. We don't actually have an ESxx member anyhow. =) I think introverted people like it because to be quite honest after a day of being around people at either school or work the introversion kicks in and they really do not want more people- But online, you can be "alone" and talk to people. I also like the anonymity online and people online tend to share my interests more than people offline. The internet caters for such a bigger variety of interests than real life. You can "be yourself" online too. It's a way you can explore things you wouldn't otherwise have met as whoever you like.
Sensors... yes, everyone knows that N is for internet, but why exactly? I can only think that it must be like you said, that sensors need "real" things.
D= I'm not very good at this...

Well, I go online cause most people I know aren't accepting, and it's so much easier to make friends online than it is in real life. And yes, I definitely spend too much time on the computer, and in a way I do depend on the internet.

INTP.
Well, for me, it's a whole lot easier to socialize and stuff over the internet than in real life. You can edit posts, think about what you're going to say and if you take a while to reply to something you can blame it on bad connection. Conversations over the internet don't grow awkward, basically. As for the N relationship to the internet, I think it's because Sensors like to go through the motions of life, especially ESxx types, if that makes sense.
