The goddess of minerals strolled quietly through the southern Pride Lands, unaware of how to handle the task that lay ahead. She was contemplative and quite quiet along this journey, blocking out the earth's call like someone would put a cell phone on vibrate, she could feel them there but they were silent. She wore her mortal guise, a coffee colored female with a marking that looked like a silver feather along her right front leg. Sometimes it was easier to be mortal, easier to hide the wings that attracted too much attention.
She came upon one of the watering holes in that region and decided a very mortal thing to do was to take a drink, she had not consumed food in quite sometime, had not taken in water in just as long. She bent drinking, feeling the cool water across her tongue and looked up across the watering hole for anyone that might be around. She feared nothing, what did a predator fear? No zebra would attack her here.

The act of drinking water... It seemed so simple, but in her age and worsening mental and physical states, Ishara found it particularly difficult. One wrong move, and she could easily fall in, unable to surface and crawl out. It was with great caution, usually under her son's watchful eyes, that she'd lap at the water.
This time, though, Toshiro was out hunting when the thirst had struck. Limping terribly towards the hole, she noticed another lion. In her muddled mind, she thought nothing of it. She didn't worry if it was friend or foe, nor what they did there. Giong to the water, she lapped at it, sparing only a glance to the other.

Looking off into the distance, Dunia-Boma did not notice there was someone beside her, she turned sharply and found an older female sitting close to her drinking, her first instinct was to move away, but something about the older female intrigued her, she had not met a mortal that showed physical signs of real age instead of just growth.
"Hello," Dunia's voice was not Boma's it was higher pitched and more like the water flowing than gravel being dragged together, "This find day finds you well, I hope." She offered a happy greeting to the stranger, respect for her elders allowed Boma to meet eyes with those intense green eyes and smile a truthful smile.

The old lioness looked up, green eyes shining slightly. Blinking, she watched the other. After a moment, she smiled. "Hello... I'm well enough... I ache, but I'm well."
She looked back at the water, then back up. "Have you seen my cubs? I can't find them anywhere.. One's black and white, one's brown, black and white, and their sister's white and red..." She still had no idea that her cubs had grown up, or that any had cubs of their own. Had her mind gone too far to save?

She smirked and then her smile faded, "No, I'm sorry, I have not seen any cubs, I will keep a look out for them." she felt very bad for the mother, at least Boma knew where her children were.
"Are they apart of this pride? Was there a search Party? I'm B-" she caught herself, "Dunia, and I will do anything I can to help you search for your young." She watched the older female concerned for the safety of her as well as her children she seemed confused.

Sitting up as best she could, the lioness pondered the question. "They're not part of this pride... I was going to the Kusini'mwezi lands.... And then I lost them somewhere." She shook her head, looking around. "I hope a hyena didn't get them..."

"Oh no surely not, you were traveling?" She looked at the lioness concerned. This must not have been a recent travel for the lioness to be in this part of the land, she looked too old to travel at all, "Do you remember who was king then, of this pride?" she wondered if it was during Mufasa's reign that this elderly lioness lost her way.
"Maybe they are being taken care of by your name?" she offered hope that this great lioness had someone taking care of her. Dunia's nose scrunched up at the thought of growing old and not knowing where anything was, would she be able to live a mortal's life? Surely not, that meant death and Boma feared that above all other things.

She shook her head again, loosing her train of thought. Smiling at the lioness, she said, "My son, Toshiro, cares for me. And a little lioness in the pride named Kabichi. She's got fine sons..." Her tail flicked, and something told her she'd forgotten something. What, though...? She then remembered it. "Oh, yeah... I'm Ishara!"

Instantly Boma realized that the older female had allowed her mind to slip over the years and that she did not know much of what she was saying. Poor thing, Boma wished her powers pertained more to mortals so she could fix the aging feline before her.
"Do you need help finding Toshiro? OR Kabichi?" she offered kindly, concerned that she may have slipped away and that she was someone's charge. She was glad she would never loose her mind in the abyss of the great world, that she would stay all together.

A grin it up the old lioness's face as she motioned towards the distant herds. "Oh, no, Toshiro's out hunting! He takes care of me! He's such a good boy!" She nodded, as if he were the perfect son. "You should meet him, you two might get along well!" A purr rumbled in her chest, before her train of thought shifted only slightly. "Kabichi's not far. She should be with her mate right now, I think. Or her mother."

Boma nodded along with the senile feline's words as if they made perfect sense and smiled as the mother wanted to try and match her son with her, how easy a mortal's life must be with children, they bond so close together, they don't have time to wander away too far from one another.
"Aww, I have a mate, dear Ishara," she purred her words, "as long as you are alright I am happy. Are you sure you're alright, you have me worried?" her chocolate eyes scanned the lioness she seemed to be struggling to sit and grasping for answers.
"As long as Kibichi is safe too," she added, "would you like me to escort you to them?"

Her tail flicking, the old lioness seemed to think about it. After a moment, she smiled and nodded. "Yes, that would be nice, thank you." As she slowly rose, a groan escaped her. Life had not treated her well. Cubs, hyenas, gods, other lions... It had all left its mark on her body in the forms of her scars and crippled status. Doing her best to not place weight on her back leg, she started for where she'd seen the cubs playing last.

Boma stood and followed the lioness, standing close enough that she would assume the lioness would lean on her if needed. She wished she had the powers to heal and peal back the years that had done so many things to this lioness.
"You can lean on me if needed, so lets go to find Kibichi, or whomever you wish," she stayed beside and slightly behind Ishara waiting for her to lead some sort of way.

She smiled, enjoying the chance to lean. "Thank you, you're so kind!" It didn't take her long to spy a white and purple blob - The cub, Taichi, whom she had no idea was her great-grandson. Limping over, she noticed that he was napping. She looked back to the other lioness, smiling. As she lay down, she gave a sagely nod. "I thank you... Uh... Dunia, was it? I think I shall rest now... Taichi here has the right idea... A nice nap..." A wide yawn escaped as she settled down, soon asleep next to the cub.

Boma-Dunia smiled warmly as the lioness curled up and fell asleep, she was innocent like a child was innocent and that made Boma feel very sad again, would Kubwa become this way? Would Tetemeko? Would all the mortals she ever met? She had only ever met young lions maybe a few old, but mostly they were all in the prime of their lives.
"Sleep well, Ishara, may you rest and be well," she left the aging lioness in the care of the cub, content that the cub had times to an adult that would be near by, "take care of her, little one." she murmured.
Walking back towards the watering hole Boma decided not to get another drink and started to walk towards the copse of trees she last saw her lover in.
