far in the game on the last chapter, you get cloud. yes cloud from ff7, but he is only lvl 2 (but you can get all of his Limit's) here is how you get him to all you PSP nerds(such as myself )
step 1-Beowulf- Go to Goug. Read the rumor at Gollund, go to Lesalia, then invite Beowulf to Gollund. After a series of battles, he joins the party.
step 1.2-Dragon Reis- Accompany Beowulf through Gollund; Reis is rescued during the final battle in the series.
step 1.3-Construct 8- After rescuing Reis from Gollund, return to Goug.
step 2-Human Reis- Read the rumors at Zeltennia, buy a flower in Sal Ghidos, then go to Goug. This unlocks a battle in Nelveska Temple. Win this.
step 3-Cloud- Visit Goug After Zeltennia. After returning Reis to human form, return to Goug. Then go to Sal Ghidos and win the fight.
(I give all credit from this to gamefaqs.com)

The only down side to getting Cloud, in my opinion, is that he is incredably weak when you first get him. He does get stronger eventually, but w/ the level of the monsters that one faces that late in the game, Cloud is more of a trophy proving all the work that you went through than he is a useful character in battle. (Note: this is only my opinion on the topic. I have gotten Cloud so i say this through experience)
