Me and my friends were having a conversation about Naruto (show not character). Half said they liked it, the other half said they didn't like it. We were kinda debating if it's worth spending over 130 hours of your life watching/ reading the anime/manga. And don't forget about waiting for the next episode/chapter to come out. Right now, the anime has a little over 260 episodes, and the manga has about 396 chapters, and they're still coming. we were wondering if it was worth spending a growing 130 hours of you life (that you'll never get back), waiting, watching, and reading chapter after chapter, and episode after episode. When will it end? Is it going to be worth all of the waiting? Are you going to loose interest before it ends? I'm actually loosing interest in it because it drags on too long. Normally, an anime would have, like 50 episodes or something, but Naruto has 260...and there's still a hell'a lot coming. The manga isn't even finished yet, and they started in 1999 (that was when the first Naruto chapter was released in Japan). So what's your opinion?

In my opinion, yes it is.Cuz anime so far has taught me some Japanese.Naruto is just something I read for fun.But even though it takes away 130 hours of my life,I don't mind.I expect to live VERY long. 3nodding

I like it. And I know I've wasted a big part of my life in front of TV shows and movies. But I don't care, as long as I like it.

I don't think it's necissarily a waste. It has entertainment value therefore raises moral. You'll work better at other things if you feel happy as opposed to stressed, cranky, and bored. But as with anything there's always that line that can be crossed into obsession.
When I watch anime I'm usually doing something else at the same time anyway. I used to watch alot of subtitled anime, but lately it's mostly dubbed stuff so I don't have to starte at the screen the entire time. (Thank goodness for overall improvments in dubbing).
I don't actually watch Naruto though. I've seen a few episodes, but it just didn't hold my attention well enough for me to watch regularly.

I'm slowly starting to lose interest in games and in anime, but that's going at the slowest rate for me.

Hikaru Usada I'm slowly starting to lose interest in games and in anime, but that's going at the slowest rate for me. I went into that phase once. But after watching a few scenes of Naruto in a commercial, the addiction was back. 3nodding
