-- AIM Rp between Tejasvi, Kianga and Audilifu ((Felyn & DFA))

She could hear birds in the distance, singing among the trees, beckoning lovers to their wings. It put a small smile upon her face as she listened, trodding out from the shelter of her clan's copse. The green eyes of the young Adhi-raj flashed momentarily around her pride, taking in the figures of the females lounging around or bustling to go get something done. For once, the sight of them didn't make Tejasvi want to run for cover. No, she for once felt capable of dealing with them should they need her.

With a soft smile spreading across her maw, she turned to head towards the male section of the pride. They needed looking after too, sometimes, no matter what watch Chizoba kept over them. He was a capable male, she would give him that, but still not capable of what an Adhi-raj could do.

She paused before the border, where they had set up camp, turning her eyes upon the males. Most looked away, some watched her with as much respect as they could muster, there were even those few that left at her presence. She smiled approvingly, like one might to a favorite pet, stalking among them calmly. She'd have to start looking among their likes soon, she was sure. She would need cubs soon, but for whatever reason, she kept putting this off.

She'd noticed the change that had come over her friend; no longer did she seem stressed, and was able to cope with the day with further stride than before. Kianga was hald sure it was thanks to her presence; it put a smile on her maw to know this... even if someone overhearing her thoughts might've called her highstrung for them. She wasn't certain, no, but... her heart was the one that told her that the one behind the queen's change was she. Not only her heart, but her soul itself seemed to scream this out, louder than it ever had.

Amusingly enough, similar thoughts to those of the queen had crossed Kianga's mind; she herself wasn't expected to have cubs soon, but she knew... that Tejasvi would. It was that notion that had brought her to the male side of the pride; though they did not look at her with the worship they aimed at the queen, Kianga found that those that did bother to turn her way held a great deal of respect. THey were mostly silent, nice, sweet even. She found she liked this; they caused no trouble at all. Still, Kianga felt somewhat torn, for reasons she herself hadn't yet even begun to understand; she understood Tejasvi needed to pick a male but...

A sigh escaped her frame as she padded amongs the male, pausing as she noticed an elegant frame of blue up ahead. Her brows shot up to hide under ther pink fringe, and slowly, she padded towards her friend, "Leisure stroll?" she asked her with a smile as she fell in stride, just a pace behind; rank was important when they were out in public.

Tejasvi saw the glimpse of purple out of the corner of her eye before the female ever spoke. Her smile faded from simply a smile into something so much warmer, her heart lifting at the simple thought of her friend being near. "Not so much leisure as duty," she said with a small shrug of her shoulders, turning her eyes to look upon the figure that was now so familiar.

She couldn't understand the reasons, but the thought of being with a male, even so distantly, made her feel somewhat bad. She couldn't say why, only that it had something to do with Kianga, something that made her feel as if she were doing something wrong. It was a duty to the pride, having cubs to continue the clan, and trying to find an heir. It just felt.. wrong.

"What are you doing out here?" she asked with a quirk of her brow, though her path was taking them away from the males - towards an abandoned copse of trees.

"Duty?" her eyes fell upon the many males around them; as soon as they'd gotten together, some had stopped observing them, no doubt thinking it rude to intrude on them. Again Kianga found she very much liked that effect and chuckled mildly as she turned her head to glance at Tejasvi. The notion however, that she was out on duty made her ears faulter and flatten just a tad before she recovered herself; jelousy was just a foul, foul feeling... she should not be feeling it. And yet could do nothing to keep herself from it.

As her friend spoke again, the pink female's ears perked forward again, her eyes widening slightly at the question; it'd caught her mildly offguard, "Well..." she paused to look at the sky between the branches of the trees as the padded onward and away from male territory. For a moment, she almost concidered lieing, saying she'd not really been doing anything and that is most certainly had nothing to do with the queen herself, but she soon enough frowned at the notion. No. Not only would she have to meet Toh, but she felt that she'd have wronged their friendship.

After a moment or two, she looked away, "I was looking at the males; I feel...." she dug around for a word, an expression, but could not find one appropiate, so she turned soulfull eyes back upon the queen, "I know it will soon be expected for you to have cubs and... I felt awkward about it," another pause, her voice lowering to a whisper, her eyes becoming hooded, "I wish we could have cubs. Together. You and I."

Tejasvi nodded slowly at Kianga's one-word question, moving slowly to take a seat in the shade between the trees of the small copse. It was cooler here, comfortable, and shadowed. Looking at her paws, she nodded slowly. "Duty. I need an heir of a more suitable age than my dear aunt, and.."

She trailed off at Kianga's words. Kianga was looking at the males? That one thought brought a sting of jealousy to her tongue, though she wasn't sure what call she had for that. It was bad enough that she must feel awful for choosing a male, but to be jealous that Kianga might also do the same? However, as her intentions became clear, Tejasvi felt her heart lighten some.

"Kianga.. I.." she frowned as she tried to think of what to say exactly, her bright eyes staring at the closed ones of the other. "I wish that we could too," she said finally, shaking her head. "I do not see how, though. We could have children together, with the same male.." She shrugged slowly, chewing on the inside of her cheek, eyes downcast. After a moment, she looked back up, "Kianga.. do you.. would you bond me?"

Following the Queen, she too took a seat beside her, however, rather than continue looking at what little of the sky she could still see, the pink female turned to gaze at Tejasvi. Something deep within her told her... ordered her to keep her gaze on her friend's blue frame; that it would defile something or other to talk about such things without their gazes locked, no matter how difficult it was to do so. Kianga had always prided herself in being strong, however, for some odd reason, never before had she felt so vulnerable, so raw and so bare to the world around them.

She'd seen the flickering jelousy in Tejasvi's eyes; she had recognised it easily, for it'd been the same pang she'd felt earlier, and that sole spark in the queen's eyes allowed the pink female to hope. And then the question came and she had to keep herself seated, kept herself from tackling down Tejasvi's blue form and squealing her answer like a child. Instead she smiled brightly and leaned in to press her forehead against her friend's blue one, "Yes; I could only hope you felt the same."

And then, just as said words resounded against the quiet chirping of the birds, another voice interrupted them, "There is a way, you know," it was said with a tingle of amusement, melodic... and out of the trees stepped a large lioness; larger still than both to-be-bonded females, "If you wish for cubs... there is a way," her form came out of the trees, wings rested folded over her back, her pelt shinning in many colors, almost sparkling.

It had been hard to keep her eyes locked onto Kianga's, those eyes made her fidget and want to look away. Like the other, however, she knew that it would mean more if she kept her eyes where they were. It took a great amount of self disipline, but she could do it. She knew she could.

As those words passed Kianga's maw, those few words that brought her heart to a warmth she had never felt, she couldn't help the smile that split her maw. Half-shutting her eyes, she leaned her head against Kianga's, reveling in the moment that passed between them. "I do, I do," she whispered softly.

Her eyes shot open at the sound of the other's voice, turning her head quickly in that direction. She hadn't expected any lion to sneak up on them, and when her eyes found the wings across the back of the other, she realized how she had managed it. A goddess, though not one of the pride's patrons. Despite that, she dipped her head slightly in greeting, and pushed herself to her feet. "How?"

The goddess smiled at the couple; there was a warm smile upon her maw, and she seemed to radiate... something, happiness perhaps? Odd, taking into account it was not happiness for herself, but rather, for the two females that sat a short distance away from her. Despite the fact she was a goddess, she was talking to them as equals for some reason, her pose not one that demanded respect. She took dipped her head, slightly towards them, "Only one way; you can't have them together, but there is a method that will make the cubs look as if you had them together, despite all odds."

Kianga was having a harder time than Tejasvi; her eyes had gone wide open, her maw opening, then closing. Those eyes... the color of that body... it was so familliar, so hauntingly... oh my.

After a moment's pause, her maw mouthed a single word; it was imposible to hear, and yet the goddess saw it, and her eyes only twinkled more, "Ah, you see... what you seek is tricky, but do-able," she padded nearer and motioned towards the sky, "And strange for you perhaps, but it's the only way; you must call upon the help of a God," as Kianga's brows raised, the goddess chuckled, "Gods may have cubs with mortals... and amongst the powers the Gods have, there is one; they are able to make the children look like someone else's cubs," looking at the couple fondly, and leaned in, her horn glimering in the light, "I would know; for I am Truth. You should call upon a God... ask him, and if you pick the right one, he is likely to accept," she winked at this point, "I would pick something.... pleasureable, if I were you."

Tejasvi's eyebrows rose slowly at the words of the goddess, though she noted the way that she presented herself to them. The respect was taken gladly - Tejasvi could show respect where it was due, but as a queen, she'd never had to. To be an equal, or at least respected as one, was something she was very thankful of. The only thing about th eother that she didn't seem to get was why she was so.. happy, and not for herself, for them.

She threw a glance over her shoulder at Kianga, a frown creasing her maw as she tried to gather what it was that her 'friend' was so astounded over. She couldn't have puzzled it out if she had wanted to, and with a soft and momentary frown, she simply turned back to the goddess. Perhaps Kianga had never seen a goddess before? She wasn't sure, really.

"So.. if we both mate with the same God, we can have children that look like us instead of him? They'd.. even be related." At that point, a soft smile curled her maw, eyes bright with a sudden happiness as she turned to look at her. "Kianga, what do you think?"

"Yes," came the replay from the goddess whom seemed cheerfuly amused, "If you both ask the god in question, of course and he agrees," she chuckled at the idea then shook her head, "Sadly, I have no means to grant you what it is you wish.... my Gender in this Life does not permit me, but I'll gladly point you in the right direction," turning for a moment, she chuckled and Kianga, whom seemed still a bit caught up in the moment, her eyes wide open, as if she'd just seen a ghost, "You've grown.... so strong," she spread her wings then, causing the leaves around her to spread, "I am proud..." and as she flapped her wings once, her eyes twinkled mischiviously, "My daughter," this said, that goddess flapped harder and vanished through the canopy. Somehow, her sudden aparition only served to voice the fact that she'd always been watching after her.

Still moving her mouth awkwardly, Kianga's eyes watched as her mother left the scene. It was only after a moment that she turned to Tejasvi; suddenly, the wing markings on her back, made perfect sense, "I..." pausing, she took a moment to look through the canopy; now that the shock had melted away slightly, a smile spread her maw and she hid the expression by dipping her maw, pressing it against the queen's neck in a nuzzle, "I think it's a wonderful idea..."

Tejasvi's eyebrows rose until they barely peeked from beneath her mane tuft, green eyes dancing as she watched the great goddess make her leave. It wasn't the goddess herself that twisted her words into silence, but instead the words that were flowing from the other's maw. She understood now why Kianga had faltered during this meeting, unable to speak or move in any real sensible fashion. As her eyebrows declined, a soft laugh flowed her maw and she turned her eyes upon her soon-to-be other half. "I suppose she always was watching you, wasn't she?"

She moved slowly to take her seat next to Kianga once more, though her head now reeled with the possibilities that Kianga's mother had set before them. "So, we need to beseech a god," she said quietly, tail wavering slowly behind her in motion with her thoughts. "She seemed to suggest pleasure, and I'd have to admit that such a creature would seem most likely. Though, your.. mother is the first divine creature I've ever encountered."

"I... thought she'd..." well, she wasn't entirely sure what she'd though had happened to her mother. Kianga could barely remember her... she'd been so young! Some things though, made sense, like how she'd managed to escape the plague so easily when her own pride had perished, "I suposse she has, yes," finally lifting her head from where she'd placed it against Tejasvi's pelt, she turned to gaze towards the small clearing through which the goddess had vanished, "Also explains where I got my wings from."

Her thoughts whirled, too, around the possibilities that had just been spread before them; first thing first though. They would bond; then they'd figure out the rest along the way. This in mind, she turned her head to groom behind the other lioness' ear, "How do we go about bonding, Tejasvi? I'm sadly, not all too aware of what needs to be done," a pause, "After we bond... we can set about finding a God," how did one set about doing such a thing though? "I didn't even know she was a goddess; my memories of her were short lived, though I don't doubt she's watched over me, to the best of her abilities. In fact, I don't doubt it was her that lead me here herself. However, I don't know how one goes about meeting a god; do you call for him? .... do you just pray? What does one do?"

Tejasvi offered her the best smile she could muster, eyes sparkling as she let her gaze drift across the wings imprinted upon Kianga's back. They had always marked Kianga out as unique among everyone else. Now she knew they were imitations of the true ones that Kianga's mother sported. "You are the same to me, daughter of a goddess or not," she said with a small shrug, "knowing who your mother is settles a peace within my heart, but it does not change anything I have ever thought of you. I will treat you like you have always treated me. I am not a queen to you, I am Tejasvi. You are not.. a goddess' daughter to me - you are Kianga." She knew it was blowing Kianga for a whirl, and all she could do for now was to remind her that she would remain at least one constant she could depend on.

"I.. I can't talk about what happens when you bond, not yet at least. As queen, I know, but it is a foul on the soul to say." She smiled, leaning in to rest her head lightly against Kianga's neck. "We will have to ask Usha for assistance, and summon the council together. It is just a ceremony, but that is all I can.. truly say for now."

"But I don't know how to.. summon the god?" She frowned, trying to think, letting her tail slither behind her against the grass surrounding their forms. "Perhaps we just pray, or call out for him? I'm sure.. when the time comes, it will all become clear. After all, your mother came when we needed her, yes?"

A small sigh of relief rolled through her form, and slowly, she leaned in again till their foreheads met, "I am glad; I am whom I am, and my parents have nothing to do with whom I have become... I wish to be loved for whom I am, and how I act, not because of something someone else might've done," Tejasvi's words, were, needed to say like the answer to a prayer, ironicaly enough. They settled the small squirming sensation within Kianga's chest to rest, "I wish to be nothing else but Kianga," at her words a small smile formed her maw; it wasn't something she'd likely tell the rest of the pride; she'd be Kianga to them too. They need not know where she come from, for her past did not offer a foul to the soul or her clan. They need not know. Knowing might cause some mild worries, and so thus... Kianga had swiftly decided that though she'd not lie if asked, she'd likely not give out the full information. Allowing her tongue to drag slowly along her soon-to-be-other-halve's cheek, Kianga pulled back to regard her.

A brow arched slightly in mildly curiosity, but sne nodded silently at the Queen's words; she understood and would remain patient till the day they bonded were to come, "You'll have to guide me through then; I trust you. I can wait, as long as need be," allowing the blue form to lean against her, she resumed her grooming of Tejasvi's ear.

"That is true," a pause in her grooming, during which she smiled, "Let's take this one step at a time; something tells me all will come clear, as you said, when the time is due."

Tejasvi smiled at Kianga's words, a soft purr on her maw as the other began to groom her ear. "It is what you did for me, and what I will do for you. I will love you as I did before," her eyes shut softly as she spoke, leaning into the comfort of the other. "and no one else will have to know a thing."

As Kianga began to groom her ear, her body became more and more relaxed, falling into a state somewhere between contentment and sleep. It was nice to be able to do this. "When the time is due, I think.. everything will be clear." It was a whisper, but joy lurked in her tones even in such a state.
