Sasha lay upon the ground right beside the shallow spring, her forest green gaze sparked with the undisturbed water. She laughed, soft and tinkling, watching the antic's of the fish, as they darted around in blur's of color. She wasn't hungry, but she enjoyed this spot to just come and relax.
The sun filtered threw the single tree, sending dappling lights across her midnight fur. Spot's of pure white seemed to trail their way down her back, and to her lightly tufted ear's. Her paws, and the tips of her tail seemed to be a soft sandy color, as if she had just finished playing in a sandbox.
The afternoon sun was beginning to dip, she was waiting, and if she was lucky, she would see the rainbow that would appear here when the conditions allowed, and a grin spit her face in thought, as her tail twitched with anticipation. But then again, it might not happen, either way she didn't care. She loved this spot, it was a great place to come when the usually Joyful Ulaya felt worried, or just dandy, it was her spot.
She rolled onto her back, her paws batting the air as she closed her eyes and let out a soft sigh, a falling leaf had caught the breeze, and returned to dance on the currents once more with her unknown assistance. It's to bad she was alone, she was always alone, she wanted someone to talk to.

Aljan was taking a quiet walk to gather his thoughts. He had recently run into a Goddess who claimed that she wasn't Alma. Was it possible that there really were other Gods and Goddesses? Had Alma kept him in the dark about this all these years? He shook his black mane in confusion, the emerald green feather bumping slightly against his throat, always reminding him of his friend.
Not noticing where he had been walking, he had stumbled upon a little gathering of trees with a pond. He sighted wistfully. It looked a lot like his home, but it most definately wasn't. He was far, far away from his home now.
Having finally been snapped out of his deep thoughts, he noticed that it was getting darker. The sun was setting. Well, he thought, he might as well camp here for the night. There was water and berries if he got hungry or thirsty, and the trees provided a nice refuge.
He slowly broke into a lazy trot towards the trees. In the twillight he never noticed the midnight colored female ulaya already occupying the area.

Sasha raised her head as the heard the sound of soft paw's hitting the ground in a rhythmic pattern. Her forest green eye's opened, and she smiled a bit both cutting threw the darkness. Okay, so someone had found her special spot, but at least their would be company.
She shook her head, flinging her striped bangs away from her face, "Hello?" She saw something, she thought.. an outline of a darker spot. A black Ulaya maby? or just dark, she blinked, and her own eye's squinted a little then saw a flash of white. Eye's or something on the fur?
Sasha stood, and stretched, turning her head towards the noise. She smiled softly, her bob tail swaying as she stood there. The dieing light made it a little difficult to see, and she feared she wouldn't see her rainbow today, not that she always did anyway.

Aljan's head snapped up in surprise at hearing a female's voice. He had been completely unaware of her presence! He would have to be more careful in the future, he realized, it could have been a predator.
"I apologize" he called out in his masculine voice "I didn't realize somebody was already here" he added. "My name is Jan... I mean no harm, I was simply searching for a spot where I could spend the night..."
He took a few steps forward before he realized that perhaps she did not want any company "Tell me, is there space enough for two, or would you rather have I found somewhere else to rest?" he hoped she would say yes, for he longer to rest his tired paws. Perhaps build a fire he could warm himself by. And now that he thought about it, company would be very much welcomed as well.

She smiled, she liked this mystery man already. As he said his name, she bowed her own lightly, a smile still splitting her face. "My name is Sasha, and yes... there is plenty of room." Her eyes danced in the darkness, as she backed up making room in the cozy little clearing.
Even in the cooling air, she guessed he would be hungry, and she splashed into the cold water and snapped up a few fish, throwing them on the bank where they flopped before dieing from lack of oxygen. When she had a small pile, she crawled out of the water and shook.
Brrrr... it was cold! She shivered a little, and called out softly, "Are you hungry?" She stood, waiting as she saw his form appearing more in the gloom. He really was dark, and was that his tail? He had a long one, she cast a glance and her own bob tail and chuckled at herself.

Smiling slight, Jan continued forward and finally caught sight of the female. He blinked a few times and tried to focus on her, but the only thing he could really see was her white spots. No wonder he hadn't spotted her at all, in the darkness she was the exact same color as her surroundings. "Nice to meet you Sasha, and thank you"
He watched the fish flap around slightly horrified. "uhm" he said "actually, I don't eat meat" padding over to a bush with berries he popped a few in his mouth. "I'm a vegetarian" he confided.
He saw he shiver, and immidiately felt bad. She had caught these fish for his sake, and then he couldn't even eat them. Well, he could atleast offer her some warmth. "Could you help me collect some wood?" he padded over to the slight vegetation and picked up a few sticks himself, before finding a rock. Hitting his fire-hardened horn on the stone a few times, he finally managed to make a spark, and a small fire started in his small collection of branches.
Throwing a few more branches on the fire, he sat himself close to the fire and enjoyed the warmth. "Come" he motioned "and warm yourself. I don't want you to catch a cold on my expense"
