Someone spilled something on it... I have no idea who in my house did I came back down stairs and thats how I found it.

My scanner isn't quite big enough for it. Hense the shoulder and hair cut off.

Also anyone have any advice on coving up what spilled then by all means. The colors didn't scan quite right but eh. What ya gonna do? I might retry this at some point.
Opinions and help as usual.~

Let the feeding frenzy commence.

Well, it looks like a bleeding stare. Think you can find out what was spilled there, and used it to add to the work and improve it?

Hmm Maybe I think that might just be the markers I used on her skin tone, I used Marvy for it [they work more like Copic or Tombo] and Prisma/sharpies for the rest [thats why I think the other colors didn't run].

I've never used markers before (would like to use Copic) but I don't think markers run. I don't know about Marvy of course. You've used them very densely though, so that might be it.

Marvey and Tombo run like water color paint, and copic is capable of the same,
I can actually use Marvey and Tombo like water color, Brush and all.

They also sell blending markers for the sake of doing just that, [I don't think Prisma's work very will for the sake of blending, Sharpie is part of them and obviously those are a bit difficult even with a blending marker]

In anycase some marker brands are easily manipulated by water a bit like water color pencils

There is a base coat used below the layer of Marvey thats a tan then I used the brown over it to make it look a bit more even.

Sorry ^^;; Ramble ramble

Don't worry about it. Thanks for the info. I didn't know markers could do that.

I can see your strokes everywhere though. Consider a way to hide that or make use for it?

Hmm I think I can only do that with her skin. The rest was with sharpies/prisma. I bought a blending pen and it was never all that useful @_@

Fix the current one? O_o Whoa. Gotta get me some markers, but no.

If you're not gonna do anything to this one, learn from it for the next time. Markers make it obvious where your strokes overlap, it's hard to hide that on a wide area, I think, but at least you can make a pattern out of it. wink

It makes me weep when I can't afford markers like this, but people like you can. Oh the agony.

You're an angry professor, Markus. I really hope you two are good friend IRL. That's two points down.

Excuse me but That was unnecessary.

I don't eat thats how I afford all of my art supplies, I live off of instant-ramen. But my explanations to someone like you are unnecessary.

I'm here to learn just like anyone else should be.

Excuse me but That was unnecessary.

No, it pretty much was. Everyone else here is saying the same old tired lines of "Oh it's nice" "oh it's pretty". It's not. It lacks anatomy, it lacks composition, it lacks a colouring technique that makes it look like anything other than a 5 year old scribbling over and over on the paper until it's oversaturated and falling apart.

Don't try to pull the instant ramen line on me either, I've heard that a million times over as well. I've barely got enough money to make my bills and I can still afford art supplies and eat hearty everyday; manage your money better.

I'll tell you right now; I hope you're a hobbyist. Your picture is an unforgettable deviantartist submission, that will be passed over without a second though.

You want critique? Rip it up. Redo it. Redo it over and over and over until things line up. Until the shading resembles something other than pillowshaded "I don't know where it goes, but I know something has to be shiny." Fix the skin so it' snot one entire blob, or if that's what your'e going for, use acrylics or gouche to make an even colour. Stop drawing contrived, terribly deviantart tutorial eyes and body. Her body looks like a giant lump of cancer attached to a hairy face with lips stapled on, devoid of any light source or knowledge of anatomy or stylization.

You want to get better? Rip it up.
Keep ripping it up.
Stop thinking it's special, it's important. Rip it up until you just don't give a ******** about what happens.

Then you'll improve.
