So his mane had finally grown in. But he still didn't feel too happy. Why?
Life seemed to be going just fine. The pride was bigger than just a handful of them now. But...still, he couldn't quite put his paw on it. What did he want? Did he want a bigger pride? Maybe not. The idea of actually having to be in charge and take care of a large amount of lions felt overwhelming to the newly-grown adult. There was a thought. Was he upset that he was an adult now? ...hm. No.
The gold lion paced, still trying to figure it out. Maybe he should seek out Mwokoti. She always seemed to have the answers to what he wanted, and he hadn't had the chance to speak with her recently. It seemed that everyone was so busy, no matter what they did.
He would find himself (more like, nearly trip on one!) a goddess to speak to, it just wouldn't be the one that he was expecting.

Mana had no idea why she was here. She could feel the presence of another god, and while she did not mind speaking with another god, she still wasn't sure just who this god was. And if they didn't want her on their chosen lands, then she was certain to know it. But for the moment, there was only an unsettling feeling, nothing more.
Strange. She was just about to take another step, not paying any attention to where she was going when she nearly stepped straight into a lion!
"Oh, goodness, I'm so sorry!" the goddess apologized, taking a step back. Well! It wasn't every day that you met a lion that could match your gold colour! She admired him for a moment, shuffling her wings in approval.

Yue couldn't help but gasp as he nearly felt the lioness rush into him. His heart skipped as he himself took a step back. It completely surprised him, as he hadn't notice her there at all! He shook his head, feeling awful. "N-no, I'm sorry, I didn't see you there...."
And that was when he noticed it. She wasn't jsut a lioness. A goddess. Another one! Now, he knew that there were more gods than just Mwokoti, but he had just written her off as the only one, really. So the shock that hit his system when he saw another one, another gold one, no less, he couldn't help but just stare for a moment.
"I...I'm terribly sorry, I never meant to rush a Goddess," he stammered, trying to keep his voice still, but failing. Maybe if he actually offended her, he would be in really big trouble, and trouble was certainly something that he did not want right now.
He swallowed hard. He knew no one could get him out of this.

Mdhamana couldn't help but laugh. He was too worried about nothing! "You never did a thing," she cooed, letting her green eyes linger around him, and that odd little flower that hung around his neck. Strange, though, for a male to wear a flower. She would take note to ask about it after their normal introductions.
"It was I who wasn't paying attention to where I was going, there is no fault on you. Besides, it would be much better on my graces to run into such a handsome male instead of running straight into a rock! It seems these mountains have their own special amount of them, wouldn't you say?" She offered a warm smile.
"I'm Mdhamana'kinyamkela. Though, I'm certain that's much too difficult to use in a friendly sense, so you can just call me Mana." There. Now he'd offer his own name, or she's wriggle it out of him somehow.

What? Yue couldn't help but lean forward to listen to this goddess. It wasn't his fault at all, and it was her? He was a bit stunned, he could admit, and was reeling from the kindness of this lioness until the compliment came around. He flushed, though he wasn't really certain why. Was it the way she said it? What was really wrong with him? Ugh! He just wanted to smack himself right now.
"I'm Jin'Yue," he replied, offering a very deep bow to the goddess. He didn't really want to call her by such a short name, but if she requested it, then perhaps it would be smart to use it. "It's a high pleasure to meet you, Mana."
He could sense her shifting a bit, so maybe the bow was too much? He was pretty casual with Mwokoti, maybe she wanted a similar thing? So many questions, not enough answers! He kept himself where he was, attentive just in case she wanted something from him. All the while, he was trying to figure out just what her domain was. The ribbons along her legs were strange, and her long wings could be taken as a hint...but still, he had to admit that her colour kept throwing him off.

"Jin'Yue, hm? A very interesting name," she teased. She had lived long enough to know the origin of such a strange name. Far from here, she thought, how did he ever get a chinese name in the heart of Africa? Well, she wouldn't ask, but she would keep it as something to play with in her mind when she had nothing better to do.
"Alright, then. Since we've exchanged names, I have to ask. What is with the flower around your neck?" She never knew of a male that actually chose to where flowers, and though it seemed to disappear in his mane (it was white, after all), she could notice something like that a mile away. Maybe even longer away.
"In exchange, you can ask something about me. Sounds like a fair trade, right?"

"Uhhh." Great. The flower thing, again. What was it about that that everyone bugged him about? Sure, at least it wasn't purple like Sei's, but hell, he was getting kind of tired of it. At least most of it could hide in his mane, now, so it seemed that it could easily be missed. Not by the goddess, though, she was a little too attentive to brush it off as nothing.
"It's part of our pride's traditions," he began, trying to act proud of it. Actually, Sei was the one who pushed it on him, wasn't it? Seemed like so long ago, actually. "The flower signifies what your position is in the pride. There's only one white flower," he started with a borad grin. "And I'm the only one to carry it. I'm the second in command here, though there really aren't too many of us, so I feel more like just any other member of the pride."
He rushed through the end of his explination to ask a question. But, what should he ask? He could see the Goddess trying to not laugh as he picked through a number of questions that were floating in his head. He could ask about her domain, just what the heck those ribbons were. Even that thing on her ear. But that didn't really pop out of his mouth when he opened his jaws.
"So why are you here?"

"Interesting." Mana nodded her approval, though the way that these lions showed their rank was certainly something that she didn't recognized. But if it worked for them, who was she to say anything against that? So she merely kept it in mind, noting that some of the traditions of the Ela'wadiyi could be seen as interesting to outsiders as well.
She shifted her weight, feeling a bit uncomfortable once the question had come up. "Well, you get right to the point then, leader of these lands, Jin'Yue." Her own tone turned a bit colder. Maybe she really wasn't accepted her, and would have to leave soon. She would wait until the time was right before making that judgement.
"Honestly? I'm unsure. The Wind guided me here, and I merely follow wherever it takes me. Usually there is a reason as to why I end up somewhere, but it may seem that I am not needed here, and met with a wall of resistance instead." Yeah, she was a little ticked at that question. She did get it a lot, but not as bluntly as the white maned lion had put it. She let her emerald eyes watch him carefully, trying to judge his body language. Just in case he lashed out, she would be ready.

Yue knew that once those words had left his mouth, they would not be taken the same way that he had meant them. And he gulped as he realised that she did take them the wrong way. His tone was a bit harsh, but he was merely curious as to why a goddess would just show up on his door. And he felt like he got a lashing for it.
"I'm sorry," he said. "I...I didn't mean it that way. It just seemed strange for a goddess to suddenly show up in these lands. Especially since Mwokoti already lives here..." He let his attention to that topic, though, change. He didn't really want to talk about her too much, but not for bad standards. He just didn't know if this Mana liked her or not.
"So I should guess you're domain is wind, then? That's neat." Wow, he felt super awkward now. Why? He let his gold eyes drift all over the place, form Mana's paws to the dirt, to the trees around and to the sky. It was like he was purposly trying to avoid eye contact with the goddess.

Well, good. That was more of what Mana wanted to hear from the lion. At least she wouldn't be chased out any time soon.
She couldn't help but flcik an ear when hearing the name. It sounded familiar....very familiar. But she just couldn't put a face to the name, and brushed it off. She was sure that it would pop up into her mind when she would least expect it. Wasn't that how everything worked?
"Yes, it is wind," she confirmed with a nod. Her own attention was distracted by his sudden movements, keeping his eyes away from nearly everything. What was wrong? She cocked her head to the side, letting her wings open a bit. Maybe that would get his attention? Surely it could work, since it normally did. It was really hard to hold a conversation when the other party wasn't paying any attention to you at all.
"Is something wrong, Yue?" she asked, shortening his name to his typical nickname. Not that she knew, it was just easy to say. And if she did it wrong, or even right, he should snap straight into attention and answer her question.

"What? Huh?" That question completely threw him off. What was he doing? He didn't realize that he was doing anything out of the ordinary, and also didn't notice that he had been looking everywhere but at her. He did now, though, noticing that her wings were stretched out a bit, and her emerald eyes were looking straight at his own gold ones.
"Wrong? No, there's nothing wrong," he replied, shaking his head. But there obviously was. So what was it?
"You....just remind me of someone, that's all. Well, I think that's all."
He was too dumb to really put the pieces together, but Mana sure would. For one, she was a woman. For another, she'd seen a lot in her lifetime.

Mana couldn't help but laugh. OOOOHH. So that's what it was. Well, then she certainly couldn't blame him then, could she!
"Oh, so I remind you of someone, hmm?" How delightful! She secretly envied him, though, since she hadn't had that feeling in a mighty long time. It was almost hard to even remember what it felt like to be in love. She didn't know if he was right directly in love, but that didn't mean that he at least didn't feel for a certain someone.
"Well, it sounds to me that this certain someone is special to you." She couldn't help but taunt him in a motherly way, but it was something that was just so cute, especially if he didn't realise it.
She could tell that maybe she might of poked a little too much though, because he didn't look too happy.

Well, she hit a sore spot, all right. Though he honestly really didn't know what to say about it. Sure, he did sort of have some sort of feelings for someone, but there was another factor in it that confused him, and he wasn't sure just what to think about any of it. Any of it!
He snorted, letting his muscles tense. "I guess you could say that," he said defensivly, letting the goddess draw whatever she wanted from that. Suddenly, though, he was very hostile, and wanted to just get out of this situation. Her certainly didn't want to talk to anyone about it, but especially a goddess that didn't know anything of his situaiton.
He kept his mouth shut, pouting a little like a cub. He looked at her once more, before swiveling around in a small cloud of dirt, his rump now facing her.
"I think you should go now, I don't think Mwokoti would want you here." Always pushing the blame on someone else. He quickly sulked away, leaving the goddess flabberghasted at the fact that the mortal had just upped and left her.

Hmph! Well, that was no fun. She watched him sulk away, and her attention soon turned back upon herself.
"Well, then. Obviously he doesn't want to talk about it," she retorted. That ruined her fun for the moment. Oh well.
She sat where she was, trying to see if the wind wanted to carry her away anywhere. She felt no tug, though. Odd, really, when it was usually trying to pull her everywhere, even when she was already somewhere.
"I guess I'll just fly," she said to no one in particular. It was rare that she flew anymore, but she would today. With a few strong flaps of her wings, she took off, not noticing that a feather had slipped out and landed on the ground where she just was.

Yue had walked pretty far before he decided to return and apolgise. Maybe he was being a little rough about it, and it wasn't good to be mean to a goddess.
But by the time he had returned to the spot, the goddess was gone. "s**t, that's not good," he bitched, letting a little bit of his rougher side peek out through his mouth.
He almost missed the feather, and would of if he hadn't stepped on it. "Oh?" He drew the feather up to his face. Interesting.
He stuck the feather in his mane to keep it safe, slowly trudging his way to return home. Hopefully he could apologize to her someday for being mean.
....wait. Maybe that was why he wasn't happy! ...oh s**t, he really hoped not. Because he certainly wasn't going to do anything about it at the moment.
