It's kind've a country song. Pleease don't hit me over that. But I kinda like the jist of it.
Memories in our minds… Memories we try so hard to find. We reminisce but still no go… Memories in our thoughts Back to high school man he was hot… But it was a no go. That’s how life goes. That’s how the bird sings. That’s how the cookie crumbles That’s how the bee stings, Don’t kill yourself over it. It’ll be over in a minute. Just lay back and hear these words… Oh yeah… Love makes such alibis, Makes us laugh makes us cry…so hard… Love makes us fly Makes us sing a long and then Then the song is over. But when you think about it… Is it even new news? No it isn’t, because… That’s how life goes That’s how the record skips The touch in your fingertips, The warmth of your smile. That’s how we realize That the spaces in our minds, The bubbles that make us sigh They’re not even there. But that’s how life goes. Everybody knows it. That’s how life goes. Just go ahead and show it. You need to know the truth, I am so madly in love with you… But I know. You’ll say there’s some one else. Maybe a different time Different place But there’s one thing I know. That’s how life goes. That’s how the candle burns, That how the record turns, And breaks a beat. That’s how the bell rings. That’s how the chorus sings, That’s how life goes. That’s how life goes. Oh That’s how life goes. Life keeps movin’ on. Life keeps moving on. Life keeps moving on. So far from back when. I was ten years back then. Thought I was so old. A decade. Man when was that? My smile was too big. Wow what a silly hat. His name was Richard. He was my Clyde. I was his Bonnie. We’d live together Till we both died. But then…Then the storm came Chased my dreams away And his life as well. But that’s how life goes. That’s how the paper cuts, That’s how the snow falls, That’s how we all go nuts. But through and through Through thick and thin Through assuredness and Weary winds, We find out the truth. Behind our dreams. We find out Everything, everything. Because that’s how life goes. That’s how the pen writes, That’s how the ink spills, That’s how we get in fights, That’s how we love each other, That’s how we kill one another, That’s how the plant grows… That’s how the plant dies….. That’s how the seed plants, That’s how we see the skies. It’s all over, But it has just begun. It is over. But we’re havin’ fun. That’s how life goes. Don’t get upset. That’s how life goes. And Life ain’t over yet. Ohhhhh. That’s how life goes… And life ain’t over yet.

Oooh! I like it! : D But me being a grammar Nazi, could you change the ain't to isn't? D: That's all, I just have odd problems with the word ain't. :/ But it's perfectly fine if you don't, too.
Could you maybe sing it for us Volly? :0 I would like to hear how you heard the music in your head. :3

Rock-version ftw, plzyplz. It'd sound like a good country song, though, and it'd definitely need the help of the spoons to rock it out or slow it down. =]

I can't do a rock version because I don't really see how it'd work out...My vision was for country and well...I like the lyrics but not the beat behind it. If any of you might have any insight or ideas, feel free to share them, record, or whatever floats your boat. And I'm so not singing. I realized awhile back that My voice works much better in a group. Otherwise...well...I tend to get a little discouraged. I've heard so many great artists and I'd hate to shame the world of music with my voice. DD:

Awww, Volly! I dun care. You have a beautiful voice. So you deserve to share it with the rest of the world. Everybody has a different voice for a different type of music, and you might not have found yours yet.
For example, one of my friends has a beautiful classical singing voice, but when she sings Evanescence, she doesn't sound so...yeah. Because she's all about "classical training" and how it's going to ruin her voice if she does something other than that. :/ So yeah.
I kind of have an idea as to how it might sound, except I dunno, so I'll try to figure out a rock sound to it, -ish.

I used my awful singing voice and put together a bunch of wav files because they only record in small amount o' time intervals. What do I do with those wav files now?

[.Volatile.] I used my awful singing voice and put together a bunch of wav files because they only record in small amount o' time intervals. What do I do with those wav files now? Uh.. open them in Quicktime, save them, and then put them on YouTube?
