Have you ever imagined Harry Potter as a musical? Or perhaps a soap opera? An anime? Have you ever imagined Harry Potter as something other than it is now?
I know I have. I've imagined Harry Potter as an anime and even an Asian kind of drama. But an Asian drama of Harry Potter wouldn't work out all too well. But nevertheless, an anime Harry Potter...hmmm...I think that would be really cool!

I'd love for it to be a musical. They could use music from all the wrock bands out there!
...although, admittedly, it might take away from the gravity of the story if people were singing and dancing. Not always, though; Les Mis is pretty dark and deep.
I'm kind of talking to myself. Let it be said that I'd like it to be a musical, then. XD

I'd love to see Harry Potter as a musical. I do agree that it would take away some of the gravity of the story, but I'd still love to see Snape singing and dancing around Hogwarts. blaugh

I've thought of it being an anime before. Who would have chibi eyes, and who'd have he best hair. Which characters would get anger marks and sweat drops. exclaim It would be fun and --- Oh dear sweet Merlin! You're talking about musicals and I realised I've never shared this with you? How could I not? Shame on me! It's a true sin that I've never brought it up. Crucio me now, for I deserve it!
Remus' lovely eyes move away from his book to roll towards the ceiling. "Minerva, stop with the theatrics and just tell them."
"I'll go make a thread right now so everyone will be sure to see it. What else can I do to please you Master?"
Remus inched away slowly. "You know it's creepy when you call me that, right?"
Minerva smiled politely. "You could call me master instead?"
"We already tried that and I'm still trying to recover from it." He made it to the window behind him...only to discover that it was nailed shut. Bugger. If only she hadn't taken his wand!
"I promise to go easier on you this time. What d'you say?"
"Do I have a choice?"
"Not really."
Sighing in defeat, Remus watched Minerva pull the frightening supplies out of her closet. "Dammit, Sirius, you better save me from this insane fangirl soon. It's traumatising, the thngs she makes me do."
"What was that, Love?" Minerva emerged from the torture chamber, er, I mean closet.
"Nothing." Remus resignedly put down his book and approached the horrifying Dungeons and Dragons gameboard.

I agree with everyone else. Musicals would indeed take away at Harry Potter. It would be really cool though if Snape would sing in a really low and dark voice...OR better yet! A squeaky and high voice!

That might work. Well they do have the Harry Potter Puppet Pals on YouTube...but, still that's a pretty interesting idea. Harry Potter Puppet styleeee.

I think a Harry Potter anime would be amazing.
Animes are wonderful because of all the expression and attitude different characters have, and they're free to overreact; it makes the story humorous. I'd truly love there to be a Harry Potter anime...

Harry Potter as an anime would be amazing! I think it would work out well since a lot of anime storylines are dramatic.
I love the book Les Miserables. It's 1400+ pages long and very detailed. There's a musical version of it that's absolutly amazing. I think Harry Potter could definatly be musical if it was done right.

Personally speaking, I would think that musicals would be generally more humorous than the movies nowadays only because the movies make Harry Potter (the plot) seem so much more serious and "rigid". On the other hand, musicals tend to be more flexible. I think that's why musicals would be a rather humorous idea, perhaps?
Simply that it's just something that we would never imagine.
Harry Potter anime! That sounds so...awesome.
Or Harry Potter comics, but I've seen a couple online. =^^=

Musicals can be very dark, and as long as they kept the play down to one year (not all 7 at once!) I can imagine it. "Snapes Theme" would be interesting to hear, to say the least.
They already have doujenshi of Harry Potter (though most of it's yaoi) but I could easily see it becoming an anime. It would probably follow the books more closely as well, which is always a plus...

It would be very interesting, wouldn't it? Imagine Harry Potter singing/"lamenting" over the death of Dumbledore in a very opera-y voice.
