If you watch the whole series of the Death Note, you can comment here. So if you had a chance to change the ending what would you change? Would you want L to live to all the "L" fans out there or would you have Light to live and L die? Or would you choose to leave it as it is or have them both live? Either those or change it to something different?

of course i wanted L to live... crying i think it's inevitable that one of them dies though... i mean, of course one of them has to win, and it's kinda a battle to the death, because of course light is intent on killing L and, well... if L proved that light is kira, i don't think they could do anything else but kill him... oh, and i didn't like the way light died... also the last episode seems like it has a lot of happenings compressed in one episode... sweatdrop

I wish they had added in those little scenes from the manga, such as Near eating the chocolate and the still-existing Kira cult. I was looking forward to them, but they were taken out. The ending was still done beautifully, though.
Alos, you should probably add that there are major spoilers in this thread. Not everyone has seen the whole series... ><

At the end of Death Note when Light is dying. I would make to where L walks by with a lollie, looks down at him and goes, "I never died." and then just walks away. ^.^ But that's just me

I really wanted for L and Light to have the last battle!
But Near had to finish it..
L and Light in the last battle but both of them would have to die
And, yeah, Near and Mello could show up too even if L didn't die, right?
Light would just be caught in the same way, only that L would be present..
And I really wanted to know what happened to all those who believe Kira after finding out that Kira was already gone..
Did they just remove all their "Kira accessories?" and went back to their previous lives?
Or did they cause a havoc, demanding what they did to the their "God?"
I'm really curious..

Ermm I would make L pretended to die. N helps L with the capture of Kira. At the place where they met L would come out. Misa will sacrifice her life for Kira then Rem would kill Light. I dunno weird?

Well... I think all of it was great because of the suspense and surprise, which is a key element to making it so great. If L didn't die sure some people would be happy, but that moment is a tear jerker for those fangirls or fanboys. One thing I would change is Near. He was good... but not that good. Also I noticed a pattern. Since Kira had the deathnote for 6 years, he slowly began to get more and more careless. If you look at the beginning of the series, he's VERY careful and articulate about everything. At the end, he's so careless and assumes he got Near and he entirely gives it away by saying he won. Personally, I'd like to see the series going longer. Or a 2nd death note series because it's THAT GOOD.

As much as I love L,his death was important to the story.I would just delay it for a few more volumes/episodes.

I think the anime should have kept the manga's ending. The new ending is fine, but it didn't have the same punch in the gut feeling the manga's had (i'm referring to chapter 107: curtain)

I think Light living would've been really cool. A world ruled by Kira would've been cool.

FANGGS: I think they did the live-action more along those lines.
I just would like Light to die with a bit more dignity than in the manga. They didn't have to have him flop around. sad
btw, anyone who doesn't guess that there are spoilers in something titled "The Ending"...probably doesn't understand the whole series. neutral
