Solo Rp Pira Seeks out Ray Rayatia was hunting along the rocky right side of the caverns, but not too hard for her. It was in no time that she was able to snag a avian prey and it was there that she laid out int he sun, plucking her meal clean of its feathers with her teeth. The work paid off as she was able to get a nice meal in. Around the bend came Pirago with a fierce look in those blue eyes. His fur was still bristled and he ran as though hell itself was licking at his pads. The mustang was obviously upset and angered. Skidding to a stop before Ray, he looked at his mother cruelly. "WHERE IN THE WORLD HAVE YOU BEEN! I have been running all across this territory looking for you!" He fumed at her. Ray's gentle sky blue eyes looked up at her son. She rose to stand in a lackadaisical fashion, and pushed over half the bird towards him. "Hello Pira. Please, have something to eat. It must have been a while since you last ate if you could not even track down your own mother." These words could have been seen as harsh; however they were spoken with nothing but warmth and concern for his well-being. It was true after all: with all the training Pirago had under his pelt in tracking and hunting, finding Ray of all banthi should not have been a difficult task for him.The mustang growled and pushed aside the meal and glared at her. "Spar with me. I need to train! I plan to battle someone who betrayed me." Without even a second though, Pirago leaped at the painted equine female. His paws were extended as well were his claws. This was not to be an easy spar, no matter how much fury blinded him from actual precision and attack. Her own blue eyes dulled over, it was a simple task of mere speed and agility that came to her so easily, that Ray was able to duck and roll off to the side. When her son landed on the side of her, she pushed forward to head butt him away from her giving her a safe distance. She took a defensive stance and her expression became serious. "Who is it that betrayed you Pira? And how is it anyone of this clan could betray?" Pirago was knocked back a few feet to the side but used his claws to skid to a stop from going much further then that. He turned his head, glaring mercilessly at the mutated banthi. "That good-for-nothing Tal! She betrayed my trust and tricked me and now because of it, Jiang got mixed into it and got hurt! I cannot forgive her hurting my friend like that!" Once again Pirago moved forward with a straight on attack, raising his right paw to strike down against his mother's skull. Rayatia would never be taken so easily as she used her sleek body and form to slide forward under his paw and under his head, using her front legs to push upward to knock Pira away. However she did not escape without getting his claws to dig into her back causing her to roar and hit him even harder then she had meant to, also slightly hurting herself in the process. She normally did not do so many head attacks as her legs were her strength. This was her son, though, and she had no true intention of hurting him. The male let out a gasp as he was hit in his lower jaw. It was such a shock for him to witness his mother performing other kinds of attacks beyond leg power or speed that he was not expecting this at all. Down he fell to the ground, stunned. Before he could even recover from trying to comprehend why his mother was attacking this way, it was too late. With no time to lose, Ray was before her son, paw against his throat and her blue eyes glaring down. "This is all about your stupid pride in the end. Yes, you have a noble reason as far as Jiang goes but it is up to JIANG to ask if she wants your interference in the matter, not you." She pressed down a little to make sure she had his attention. "You lost this spar because you were driven by such anger it blinded you. Never lose your cool when against an opponent. Even your own mother." Releasing his throat, she backed off and shook her head, fixing her mane that had gotten out of place. "It sounds like this whole thing with Tal betraying you is what drives your fury. Until it has healed, do Tal, Jiang and yourself a favor and keep a distance to cool off." Pirago was on his paws, shaking his head and fur off from the dirt and the humiliation from the defeat in sparring against his mother. "Fine. I will stay away from the caverns altogether. How does that sound?" He spoke with such malice. The painted equine sighed. "Pira, you and I both know how you get when you've been hurt like this. Let time heal your wound and learn the lesson that wound has taught you." She laid her body down and her tail curled around her. "What is it this experience taught you?" The male smirked at his mom. She may be soft, but her heart was stronger then ever before now. "I cannot trust Tal to teach me anything. To respect who I am!" His anger was fading as he sat down. Pirago may despise his mother, but he could not deny her wisdom in social matters. Ray smiled to him. "You have learned who is really your friend. Does this mean Tal will always be this way? No. Banthi grow and change through time and love. Keep in mind, Tal has been off on her own a lot. She does not get much social time with anyone but Jiang. Perhaps she feels your presence is a threat to what bond those two share. She does not understand you, Pirago, so you must have patience with her."His light blue eyes rolled. "Mom I tried. I tried to tell her how it got me upset! She just ran off upset at me and Jiang for pulling a prank on her! Its not my fault she doesn't want to listen!" A sigh slipped passed her muzzle as Ray thought carefully. "Well think of what you just said: how Jiang and you pulled a prank on her. She could have felt betrayed by Jiang for leaving her out of something and even worse having it turned against her. Did you tell Tal how you saw her prank on you and how it made you feel? JUST you, not including what you thought when Jiang was involved." Pira's gaze fell to the ground. "Oh mom, you know I can't be that open. I tried my best. Its hard to be open with someone who lied to me." A saddened look turned at his mom. Rayatia smiled softly and got up, walked over to her son's side and sat down beside him. She nuzzled him affectionately. "Pira, Tal is not a mind-reader. I understand how you feel though; its okay. Just don't leave her in the dark for the rest of her life. Tell her at some point what it was she did to hurt you alright?" Licking his cheek, the mother moved away from her son and looked back at him. "Be careful who you trust in these caverns, Pirago." She then slipped off to be alone in the forest, still leaving the meal behind for him.

Solo Rp A Change Of Heart The equine female had long left the caverns where she had spent time with little Fai, Xu's daughter. Her blue eyes stared at the ground as she moved off to the south of the entrance into the caverns. Ray was so happy for Xu and his growing family. However, she deeply missed her Pirago, her Dame and of course.. the banthi sighed and came to sit alone at the edge of the forest.
It was one thing to let go of Biagio. But her handsome Faziel was with him. It had been so long since she had seen her youngest son. She missed him deeply. Ray wasn't even sure if he was alright. Dame grew up to be a strong woman, like herself, but Faizel always seemed so reliant on Biagio that leaving him behind left her to ache and worry for him. It was all a little much for Rayatia to put behind. The only sorrowful sound that came from the lamenting mother was a soft whimper.
A silent prayer went out to the heavens above once more. 'Please, let all my children find happiness. Please allow them to be happy and safe in this world!' She laid down and rested her head on her paws, alone in the darkness of the night. A tear rolled down her face, and quickly she hid it away behind her mane. "Faizel... please stay safe by your father's side..." A desperate whisper that had left her fell into the shadows of the forest. It was like this, in her solicitude, where she would fall asleep distraught for her broken family.
In that time, as she slept.. it was there she made a promise. Faizel would just have to be thought of as safe. Just as she had done for Biagio, she would have to let him go too. The heart of the older female broke in two. When Ray awoke, she knew that she had been changed forever in making that promise.

IM Rp Ray Meets Iah The painted equine had thoroughly roamed through the forest to try and locate the source of the sound she had heard previously with no luck. And so, defeated, the female moved from the shadows of outdoors until the warmth of the caverns, where she was hoping to warm her fur, and groom herself. After all, in her current appearance, she did appear rather feral.Iah was curled up in a pile of hay and sleeping quietly. His nose was burried under his body, making his body look more like a ball-shape. The soft noises of him inhaling and exhaling could be heard, if listened to carefully enough.Ray had just sat down beside the fire to clean her fur of the outside debris when she caught sight of a breathing ball of fluff. Lifting her head up, the female stared curiously. Once again she moved to stand on all four paws before making her way over to the sleeping thing. Her head lowered to breathe in it's scent. A smile lit on her face. One of Osiris' & Demetra's. She plopped beside it.Iah's ears twitched slightly, hearing the sound of steps toward him. His ears were more perked up to stay conscious of his surroundings. Feeling a source of heat behind him, he curled tighter into a ball. He couldn't smell the scent of the other, but could only assume it was a family memberRayatia grinned rather mischeviously when she saw him curl tighter. As she groomed out the dirt from her arms, her long feathery tail that had silky fur of a horse's came to move around the ball before it curled completely around him, or rather as much as it could. Rayatia herself just smiled to herself quietly.Iah growled lightly in his sleep, rocking his body side to side, trying to get the body off of him. His nose peeked out as he yawned lightly before settling to move a paw to cover his nose. He wanted to sleep still and the added heat wasn't helping any. His tail twitched behind him, still not sure who it was.Ray couldn't not hold back a giggle. She just whispered very softly, "So much like your father." With her fur finally clean, she was able to pull her entire body around the teenage banthi now.Iah's eyes snapped open, hearing the comment. He pulled away quickly, as fast as he could to get away from the body. He turned his head back to see the face of the bantho who wrapped their body around him and glared at the banthi. He growled loudly, being woken up from his nap. "What makes you think that you can do that?"Rayatia giggled and smiled brightly, blue eyes gleaming, one open to view and the other peaking from behind her vail of silvery mane. "Well being that I have cared for so many banthi, including your own father, I do believe I have a certain priviledge. It seems you would disagree though, Little One?" The female was happy and playful. She gave him the option of answering her.Iah snorted, a sneer on his maw. He tried to keep a distance away from the older banthi. His ears were flicked back, as he stared at her, not having the tinest clue who she was. "Feh! You might have babied other banthi, but I'm not going to be a part of that." He said, his tail twitching annoyingly. He wasn't afraid to attack, if needed.Rayatia giggled once more and stood up smiling, "I hardly 'baby' other banthi. I merely watch over them." She did not approach but she did bow her head lightly. "Feel free to call me Aunt Ray. What may I call you, Little One?" Her voice remained warm, calm and gentle. Though that sparkle in her eye fortold of her playful side as well. However, the equine could see how paranoid this one was.Iah sat away from her, his eyes watching her. His ears twitched back up slightly with a scowl on his face. "Does it matter?" He said, looking at her. One of his ears twitched, still eyeing her. He had a feeling that she was going to be one of those annoying girls again.Ray only smiled. "Well I would prefer to not refer to you by age, and rather by a title. However, with no name, I'm left to call you Little One." She shrugged. "You can have it your way." Now the equine approached but she kept a good five feet between them, encircling him, blue eyes scanning over the male. "You seem brash. Will you be a fighter of this clan?" Her tail flicked at such a question.Iah snorted. "Maybe I just won't answer to your call, if push comes to pull." He watched her, seeing her circle around him. His eyes followed her, his ears perked up high to listen to her movements. "I don't know. Maybe, maybe not. I have yet to explore. Maybe I want to move onto a new clan?" He shrugged."And what clan would you move to? Little One, it is not often I tell others of this clan how to live. I do ask though that you heed these words very wisely. We encountered one previous clan and because we were not one of them, one of our own were terribly injured. She would have been killed if not for our fighters. If you run away, do you think you will be accepted?" Her question was curious.Iah shrugged, not knowing much about the world. "I don't know." His ears twitched, watching her. "Oh? I said it was an idea. I haven't explored much out of this place." He said, his tail twitching behind him.Rayatia smiled at him and sat down before the young male. "Little One, I only want for your safety. You seem to be a rather tough little one. I bet you would make a great hunter if you do not already hunt for yourself. Do you?" She was still keeping a distance...for now.Iah continued to watch her movements. His nose wrinkled slightly. "I know your talking to me, so you don't need to use "little one"." He snorted. "Why should it matter?" He eyed her. He was a little embarrassed he hasn't been taught to hunt and wasn't going to say his faults.Rayatia shook her head. "I refer to titles because of all the banthi I must meet. This is why I wanted to be given something to call you earlier. I could refer to you as the Second Prince but I don't think you would like that much better." Ray's expression was a gentle one. "Well, should you choose to leave later, I would want you to be able to care for yourself. Not to mention hunting is a great way to train for battle later in your life. Has any other elder banthi taken you out yet?" Her tail wagged a little at the idea of a hunt.Iah blinked. "It's not necessary." He said with a shrug. The teen yawned again, still sleepy. "What do you mean second prince?" He said, not exactly why there were royal titles to his family. The boy listened on further. "Oh? What makes you think I can't?" He scowled slightly. "I've done my share of exploring, but no one has really personally taken me out."Ray only smiled at the yawn but thought silently to herself, 'So cute!' Her blue eyes blinked a little. "Your father is Osiris, an egyptian pharaoh banthi. He was known to me as Little Prince. As I have no name for you, I suppose Second Prince shall do. It can be changed later should you leave him." Rayatia smiled before shaking her head. "It is your fear that makes me suspicious, Second Prince." Rayatia stood up and kept a gentle gaze upon him. "If you wish, I will escort you on a hunt, Second Prince. It is a right of growth for banthi that you are long overdue for."Iah looked to the older banthi, his eyes narrowing on her. His tail twitched behind him as he kept his distance from her. "Is that so?" He said. He really wasn't aware of his status, but he really didn't care much about it. It didn't really have an effect to anyone that he was of "royalty". He looked to her with a scowl, getting defensive. "Who said I was fearful?" He snorted, raising his snout up in an arrogant manner. He huffed. "I'm sure I can go figure it out myself!" He said, getting up on his own paws. His sleepiness had dissolved away and a newfound energy found its way. He walked out of the cave, trying to leave the older banthi behind as he went out to the hunting grounds.Rayatia quirked an eyebrow. Instead of saying anything to the younger banthi, she was trotting along beside him when he turned away. No matter how fast this little one thought he was, Ray would be at his side, smiling at him and keeping an eye on him.Iah saw that the older banthi was following after him. His eyes narrowed at her as he sprinted away from her. If he could lose his father, he could definately lose her! He sprinted into the tall grass, staying low as he tried to divert himself away from her.Immediately, Ray's nose caught his scent and not only was she right beside him, but she was fast. Oh this little one was going to be fun! He was much faster then a lot of the other banthi, but nothing compared to her own mustang child. She grinned when she was beside him again. "Out-running me would do you no good." Iah scowled as he tried to keep on running. "Why are you following me?!" He growled, angry that she wouldn't leave him alone. He ran out into the open grasses where they weren't as high and stopped at the peak of a hill, overlooking another flat open field. He wanted her to go away! He didn't know why she was following him for.As fast as he moved, Ray was righ ton his tail with a grace and ease that could be found in equine blood. She looked at him with a very gentle but serious expression. "I'm keeping an eye on you since you have no battling experience and there are predators out here."Iah scowled again, his ears flicking back. "You don't need to! Just turn back and go back to where ever your from! Your not needed." He said, peering over the fields. He wanted her to go away so he wouldn't look like a fool if he -did- mess up. Not saying he would, but he wanted to give himself leeway space just in case. "Right. Like a predator can catch me." He snorted.Rayatia looked at him with a serious look, her smile gone off her face. "I have met the predator who can catch both me and my son and I have yet to see any banthi out run us yet. Speed will not save you alone from a predator. I will never let anyone or anything lay a single claw or fang on you, Second Prince. That is why I won't forsake you out here. I can however," She smiled then, all serious behavior slipped away from the banthi, "slip off into the shadows if you would prefer?"Iah shrugged his shoulders. "That's nice and all, but even then, I don't need your help. I need to learn anyways." He said, before starting to go downhill. "Just go away. I don't need you." He snorted, creeping into the recesses of the tall grasses. "It isn't about what you need, Second Prince. It is a loyalty that you will always have, no matter what." Rayatia moved quickly along after the stubborn male. This time though, she gave him some space. He was almost a mirror image of his father's youthful days. This is what gave her great love for the stubborn teen. And her words were sincere. She moved along, low and quick in the darker regions.Iah didn't know what she meant, but didn't even make an effort to understand her words. His tail flickered behind him as he bent down to sniff at the ground, tracking after prey. His ears were perked up, listening to any noises that would signify any prey nearby. He continued to creep forward until he got a trail.Rayatia watched from the distance and observed his stalking habits. It had taken him time to find a scent. That could be easy enough to resolve since he wasn't trained how to pick up faint ones. She would show him that later. When he did find one, she monitored how well he would take it down and how long it would take him to find the prey itself.Iah followed the scent, his eyes searched up ahead, seeing hoof marks in the dirt. He crept closer to them and sniffed them before following the trail again. He stopped when he heard a grunt. His ears were twitching to hear the distinct movement of the prey. He eyed the massive buck who stood tall and was looking around as he was chewing on some grass. He tried think of ways to take it down.Rayatia followed carefully downwind of whatever it was that he was following. She didn't want the younger male to lose his first prey. However, when her eyes caught sight of what it was he had been stalking, those blue hues grew wide. Oh this could end very bad.. She herself had battlescars from taking on bucks. Rayatia's claws kneaded the dirt under her and she crouched low. Her tail wiggled behind her as if she was preparing to pounce. But really, she was getting ready to step in if this buck turned aggressive.Iah eyed the body of the buck. He saw that he constantly bent down to rip some grass off the ground. His ears twitched slightly, wondering where to aim for. His eyes found the buck's stomach. Maybe that's his weak point? The teen crept closer to the buck, staying on the long side of the grass. He made sure that the grass would not shuffle too much as he passed by. Rearing himself, his claws ready, he pounced the buck's side. His claws ran down the side of the buck's body, but it wasn't a firm grip. The buck managaed to move, aware of the teen's presence. The buck moved his body to prevent his side from getting attacked. His horns were aimed for Iah as he was crouching low, his ears flicking back as he fiercely looked at the buck.Rayatia dashed in closer, but she held herself back. She bit down into her bottom lip hard enough to draw blood as she glared around her. She wouldn't let her new newphew get hurt but she couldn't interfere with this lesson. He had to learn for himself. Her claws grabbed tight of the ground to keep her in her place. Iah would not get seriously harmed just yet. She had to keep her mind in control.Iah eyed the buck, his tail slightly wagging behind him. He was enjoying the thrill of trying to take down prey. Seeing the buck try to rear to attack him, he charged first, pouncing on the buck's face, biting down into the buck's eye socket. The buck grunted in pain as it jerked it's head around to loosen the banthi's hold on it's body. Iah's claws were digging into the buck's neck, still biting into the buck's socket. The buck jerked his head up and down before moving his head to the side, sending Iah back into the grasses. The buck was panting, groaning at the pain from his socket and the loss of vision in one eye.Rayatia watched one with care about this fight with a buck. It wasn't just the buck she was keeping an eye on though. She kept her snout open to all the scents. She wanted to make sure the smell of blood did not lure in another predator who would contend for the wounded prey. With her ears flicking back and forth to listen for others, and her snout taking in all it could, Ray let her eyes keep on Iah and the buck to watch for any sign that he might get severely hurt by this animal. She was serious about protecting himIah snickered at the Buck. The teen licked his maw clean of the blood. It must suck for the buck to lose eyesight. He got back up after being thrown off. He was oblivious to everything else around him. The teen watched as the buck tried one last time and tried to charge at him. Since the buck's perception was off due to the lost of eye sight, he shifted in one direction and moved to go behind the buck and pounce him from behind.Rayatia prayed quietly for the buck to be too young to back kick at the Second Prince as she knew that could be very damaging to the half-avian banthi. Rayatia continued to force herself to watch without interfering. However, she would of course approach him when he was finished. Iah sank his claws into the sides of the buck and used that as a leverage to pull himself up. The buck was surprised and started kicking up but he was unable to kick Iah when the banthi was on the buck's back literally. The teen just laughed, not knowing what to do next. As much as he was clawing at the buck, it wasn't doing anything to him. He moved his head to snag onto the back of his neck, trying to snap the bone there. That was where Rayatia had to step in. She knew the younger banthi would not know that their teeth were not strong enough to snap the bone of a buck. He was lucky that he was unharmed, as many adult banthi could barely get close like that without being hurt at least once by now. She spoke to him mentally. "Your teeth can't do that. You have to bite the front of the neck to cut off the airway. You have to get him down on the ground first, because of his height though. Hurt his legs, Prince."Iah was confused as the voice entered his head. He recognized it to be the voice of the equine banthi. He released the buck's body and jumped off his body before he could buck again. His ears twitched, watching the buck in amusement as it looked around for him now. Maybe he needed to fully blind his prey next time. That would be fun. His tail wagged behind him, wondering how to hurt the buck's legs.Rayatia sighed and shook her head. She could see from the way he was halting his attack that it would give the buck too much time to catch the banthi's scent and lunge at him with his horns and hooves. So once again she spoke to him through his mind. "Second Prince, cut the muscles in the thighs of the buck with extreme caution. One kick from him and your bone can break under the pressure. If you cut all the thighs, he'll trip over his own legs, and possibly break one, giving you the chance to strike. Be quick and careful!"Iah's ears twitched as he rounded about, avoiding the buck's gaze. He was cautious to where the buck was going to turn his head before shifting direction. He approached the buck again, quickly running up to the buck's hind quarters and striked the muscle there.Rayatia smiled brightly. That was a very sharp strike and with a deep cut like that he was almost certain that hindquarter injury would surely suprise the buck enough to make it move forward, causing the wound to pull open a little more. "Good hit! Now again, this time on the opposite side and in the front. It will cause him to do real damage." More words of encouragement sent telepathically.
