I tried tampons last year in August for the first time. It hurt. Alot. (Although it was before I became sexually active.) I know I should start using them again, as I feel they'll be more affective for me (I won't go into reasons why), but I'm very scared. Anyone else ever had a problem with them? I don't know whats wrong, I just hate the idea of it going too far up and hurting to take out, as it did last time.
Will being sexually active affect how easy it is at all?

Yes, as you can see if you browse this subforum, many girls have trouble with tampons.
Tampons should not hurt. If your tampon hurts, it probably means you're putting it in wrong or you are too tense. With many girls, the problem is that the tampon is not in far enough. You can try pushing it in farther with your finger. You do not have to worry much about it going too far in. As long as enough of the string is left hanging out to be able to pull, it should be fine. Make sure you are relaxed too. Sex and tampon use can both be difficult, painful, or uncomfortable if you're tense.
You can read the directions that come in the tampon box for various tips and ways to insert them.
No, sexual activity does not effect tampon use in any way. A lot of people mistakingly think virgins are tighter. Having a baby can permanently stretch your v****a out, but having sex will not. So your v****a is the same size now as it was before you started having sex unless you gave birth to a child. Girls may feel tighter their first time simply due to lack of lubrication paired with being nervous and tense.
