Hmmm....what a bizarre movement...and to say, "Jesus bore the cross to gain more self-esteem!" is just...dumb. Wow. You know, Jesus had the most humiliating death happen to him. I highly doubt HIs self esteem was made better because of that! And Timothy had it right when he said, "There will be violence in the world. Men will be fond of themselves". Look at all the dicators and leaders of recent history. Oh boy did they loved themselves. And look what they did: genocide, massacres, etc.

However, I must ask. Does the Bible require us to have a bad self-image? I get mixed ideas from the Bible sometimes. Sometimes it will say something like, "You are My Children and you are wonderfully and fearfully made" while other times it says as Jesus said, "deny yourself and carry the cross daily."

I know that sometimes I can get self-loving. But this movement is CRAZY.
