AIM RP Log between Felyn & Kisoni
Niruzu & Shetani

The wind howled like a desperate criminal. It purred through the grass and whined through the trees, wrapping around every living thing and sending chills of fear and darkness through their hearts. All, except a black and russet lioness crouched beneath the jungle treeline.

Aptly named Shetani's red eyes blazed from the darkness beneath a few large, closely nestled ferns. A brilliant hiding spot, truly, though hiding had not been her original intention. No, her attention had been to get away... her ears were flattened back against her head, blended into the darkness of her, and she lowered her head upon her paws as she watched the storm build outside her weak shelter. The ferns would not keep her dry, but she did not wish to speak with her 'father' tonight. No, certainly not.

The storm had thrown the world into a shadow, a shadow deep enough to match the blackness of Niruzu's miserable little heart. The winds were a torrent, making wails in the distance, and all he could do was grimace and keep on walking. It was his luck that a storm would break when he was out in the open, just his luck that he'd be trapped in the damned thing. Life never really worked out that well for the poor, tormented soul.

"Bloody wonderful," he hissed under his breath, pale eyes drifting over the darkening lands. He turned then towards the jungle, a grimace spreading across his face at the sight of it. Jungles could be dangerous - the lions within them might cause him more problems than the storm itself. There was no way of ever telling what would happen and he most certainly didn't want to be surprised. His head still hurt from the last 'surprise'.

There was something ghostly and pale walking through the grass nearby. Shetani's ears perked, for it was too much white to be her father's mane... and when she got a good look at the young lion, it was quite obvious that they were very different sorts. Well, well well...

A smirk appeared on her face and despite the brewing storm she kept from her mediocre seclusion to slip into the grasslands beyond. Circling the male, she would appear almsot miraculously from his opposite side, intending to drive him towarsd the jungle. " 'ey, thar.. ain't ah noice noight ye picked ta be wand'ren 'bout, is h'eet?"

He gritted his teeth to supress a growl as soon as the girl popped up beside him. He shifted slightly towards the jungle, but then planted his feet rather firmly. With narrowed eyes, he focused on her, trying to size her up. About his own age, he figured, maybe a little younger. Being a rogue for so much of his life, he was always wary of everyone and always judgemental. It had saved him in a lot of instances. Of course, his moodiness had hurt him a lot of times too.

He almost had the urge to ask her what in the hell she was saying. Did he look like he spoke jibberish? With a sneer, he tried to concentrate on what she said as best she could. After a long moment of deliberation, he simply rolled his shoulders in an awkward shrug. "Well, I don't have much of a choice, do I? Rogues wander. It's what we do."

"'s'pose 'tis," She replied amiably enough, a sly look forming on her face. Shetani took a few steps closer to him, head down and eyes turned up towards him. "Awe-full purty fer a rouge, arn't ye? Ne'er saw one s'clean as ye is." The girl growled, almost like a purr. A similar rumble from the storm above masked it, though, and she slipped under his stomach to come out the other side and nearly shove her face into his, "Ye know thay say thar's spurits wot gather in theese lands dur-in storms jus loike this one 'ere."

He growled slightly as she got closer to him, teeth gritting again. He didn't like others in his personal space. Hell, he didn't like others anywhere except away from him. "Being pretty doesn't have a damn thing to do with being a rogue," he hissed, eyes gleaming with a sudden irritation. He didn't like that sort of stupid talk. Males weren't pretty, rogues weren't pretty, and he sure as hell wasn't pretty. As she slipped under him, he jolted to a stock still, then stumbled backward awkwardly a few steps once she popped up and pushed her face against his. He felt a scrape of a branch against his shoulder, though he didn't turn his eyes away. "Spirits, really?" He wasn't really interested - that was silly talk. She was just.. silly. A little disturbing, too. "Well, I think they wouldn't bother me too much. After all, I'm pretty pale and ghostly."

"Mayhap nhot," Shetani shrugged, nose lifting into the air. Her tail brushed against the underside of hsi chin as she started to walk away. The girl stopped a few seconds off, as if something had occurred to her, and she turned to look at him. "Tho... mayhap ye're no''a rogue t'all... mayhap ye're a spurit yerself... too purty t'be a rogue--too whoite an all clean loike."

He hissed at the brush of her tail, jerking his head away angrily. If he wasn't so hell-bent over not doing harm to females, he'd likely have attacked her just to shut her up by now. "I've already told you, I'm not pretty. I'm a damn rogue, not a pretty rogue, a damn rogue." He half spoke, half growled his words, take an angry step after her - though he wasn't sure why. She was boiling his blood and he just wanted to convince her to take it all back. He wasn't pretty.

A roll of thunder sounded in the distance and he let out a growling sigh, eyes narrowing on his feet. "Is there any shelter around here, besides these half-assed trees?"

"Well tha d'pends," She snickered. She hadn't missed his irration, or the fact that she was pissing him off for the pure fun of it by now. Shetani giggled at the male again and just brought a paw to her face to clean it. "Say ye're purty."

"I'm not saying I'm pretty you little.." he trailed off, turning his head away, eyes flaring angrily in his irritation. He was pissed off that the storm was interupting his traveling and now he was even more pissed off because the little twit wouldn't just help him. Why the hell was she so difficult? He growled, shaking his head again and sending his mane tossing, "I'm not saying it."

"Aww.. whuts wrong wit thinkin' ye're purty?" She drawled in the most innocent of voices that she could manage. Shetani took another step back towards him, ears thrown back and body sleek to emphasize how 'harmless' she was. "Tha ain't so bad, iss h'it? Most paple qoite loike be-an purty, luv."

He sneered slightly as she moved a little closer, eyes narrowing at her innocent maneuvers. "Because pretty isn't rogue," he said finally, teeth baring as he spoke, "and being less of a rogue will get me beat up more than I already am, if you have to know." That, and being called pretty didn't really help the ego. It was such a feminine word. "You can be pretty all you like to, girl, but that's just not who I am."

"HAH!" The girl barked with laughter suddenly, as if that were the funniest thing she had ever heard. In all honesty, it was. She backed up, howling with laughter and put her face in one paw. "OI!," The girl finally exclaimed when she was back to meer giggles, "Ye're serius wit dat?" Shetani had to put her paw in her mouth again. "Oi'd ne'er 'eard somfin so... so.. stuped!" Shaking her head, the female rose once more to her feet and wiped a tear from her eye. "C'mon, den.. lets get ye to a cave." Snickering and snorting, Shetani turned to lead him into the jungle.

He jumped at her sudden laughter, then slowly boiled back into a disgusted fury. If he had been human, his face would have been lit with embaressment. Being that he was a lion, however, he simply gritted his teeth and ducked his head some. "Yeah? Almost as stupid as you going around trying to get lions to call themselves pretty." The pure anger took out some of the bite, and it came out as a prety childish insult. He had a pretty bad temper.

He shut his trap once she began to walk off, hoping against hope that perhaps she'd just show him the way in silence and then get along with her own life and leave him be. He didn't figure she would, though.

"Mayhap," She agreed, having a feeling that would rile him more than arguing or indignation was. Actually, she wasn't offended in the slightest--it took a lot for her to get really angry, most anything else just rolled right off her shoulders. Storm still rumbling up ahead, she pushed a path through the jungle land she knew so well. "Ain't many as take offense t'tha, when oi deam t'call 'em such. " Shetani explained, "Don't be givin' that toilte ta too many, tho, so ye should consi'er it a complayment--loike a normal loin, rogue'er no." Shetani looked over her shoulder at him, "me da is purty an 'e takes no 'fense t'eet. ... an we be rogues RRselves."

"Well, I'm sorry if I don't find 'pretty' such a manly word," he said irritatedly, growing more sullen at the fact that she actually didn't argue back. It meant his anger had nowhere to release, no reason for him to blow up, so it just got bottled up and began to brew in the back of his mind. "I'd thank you if I didn't think it was so ridiculous" She wondered what kind of lion her father was if he let her go around calling him pretty. Hell, he wondered what kind of lion had created someone so blood weird regardless. He just shook his head, and just followed after her.

"T'ain't m'fault yer so upti'te." Shetani snickered and stopped in front of a small den--a cavern carved into rock by time and nature. She waved a paw at it. "Well, fer somone so reedhiculus Oi shure did lead ye t'safety, now dinnit, Oi?"

He glared at her as they stopped in front of the den, silent for a moment as he stared at it. It was much better than staying in the open, but damn if it didn't hurt his pride to have to say that she actually did something useful. He was half expecting her to get them lost. "Yeah, yeah," he said sharply, tail thrashing behind him, "sorry for doubting you." Though, he wouldn't take back the comment about her being ridiculous. Then, with a sigh, he shut his eyes. "I'm... pretty. Ok?" His eyes flashed open, refusing to look at her, but instead begginning to make his way into the small den area. Well, she'd done what he asked. No reason he couldn't just entertain the twit, yeah?

"No' really, Oi jus' wan'ed ta 'ear ye say it," Shetani teased... and then dived itno the den with him, worming around until she was facing the exit, though their bodies were pressed together in a tight, warm squeeze.

He groaned slightly as she crawled into the den with him, pushing him into a sandwhich between her body and the wall. "Well, guess you got what you bloody wanted," he muttered, putting his head down on his paws. He really just wanted her to leave. Why wasn't she leaving? "Wouldn't your dad be worried or.. something? Shouldn;t you be home?"

Shetani snorted derisively. "Loike 'e'd care!" She frowned, then sighed. "Well.. 'e wud, ya.. but thas' t'point, now ain't eet?" The female shrugged and laughed a little, "An yeh, Oi usully do.. ain't na point foightin' eet, rally."

He shook his head as best he could, listening to the wailing wind in the distance, the thunder even further out, and then that awful drawling voice near his ear. "Fine, just as long as he doesnt come barging in here screaming at me for you staying in this damn cave with some guy you dont know." Overprotective fathers were some of the worst sort - and he never really did anything to earn any of the blows they'd given him. He snorted, rolling his eyes in her direction, watching her with a slight smirk. Another brat that thought she always got what she wanted - unique, hm? "Well, I'm glad that's working out for you."

She snorted and shrug, "Work ou'fer anyon wiich as works fer it." That was her philosophy anyway. You deserved exactly what you worked for in life.. if you worked for nothing, you deserved nothing. Everything she wanted, she worked for. "Patience be key too." Another nod, then a chuckle, "Daa wudn't be doin' tha' to ye. 'E knows Oi'm mur loikly t'blame, t'enny rate, 'n s'long as d'boy owned up t' 'is mess, Da'd as loike as keep 'im."

"Own up to what mess?" he said with a hiss, eyes flashing over at her. What in the hell was she talking about? He didn't like jumping to conclusions, but the girl was talking nonsense right this minute. It was hard enough to understand her, but when he had no idea what it was she was talking about to begin with, or rather, something that surprised him - it was a little hard to comprehend.

She blinked, "Wha' mess wud caus a fa'er ta be angered 'bout 'is dau'her out wit a boy at all 'ours?"

He grimaced slightly, tail thrashing behind him with little care as to whether or not it happened to hit her. Her fault for being too close if it did. "Just cause you're in here with me doesn't mean we're getting up to any mess," he said with a hiss, "so I'd not be owning up to anything, now would I? So what'd your good old dad do then?"

Shetani raised a brow, "jump t'lotta con'lusyuns doncha?" She snickered a little and bapped him with her tail right in kind. "Yer the one tha implied wut ye were talkin' 'bout, no me. Oll Oi said wuz reponce ta you. As if Oi'd let tha' 'appen n'eway." Her eyes narrowed as she looked at him once more, rain suddenly crashing down from the heavens. "An' if thurs nothin' fer a boy t'own up ta, den 'e won't be wantin' explanatyuns den, will 'e?"

Niruzu just grimaced, head shaking slowly as he tried to wrap his head around what she was saying. She was going in circles, talking about implied and what was said and what wasn't and.. it hurt his head. He never talked to others often so he never had to have indept conversations. "Whatever," he muttered thickly, laying his head back down (careful to curl his tail close to himself now that she had hit him back). "Doesn't matter. Nothing's happening, and as long as he doesn't try to kill me for no reason, I don't bloody care." His eyes shut, as if he'd try to go to sleep, or rest.

"y'mak't t'eai." She murmered under the thunder of the rain. This one was somewhat interesting, actually... at least to tease. She gave one last little chuckle, then jawned softly and settled down to sleep as well, not at all minding that their bodies were curled up tight with one another--hell she was used to it. Shetani nuzzled his cheek lightly in her sleep.
