 Signal frowns, walking through the brush very bored. Nothing exciting ever seemed to happen around here. Not that it wasn't a bad thing, he supposed, exciting usually meant someone was being attacked or robbed where he was from. Or fires. He hadn't smelled any smoke here since he ventured to this area, and none of the plants looked dry enough for a fire to start even in winter's grasp. All good signs that it was going to be a safe, boring season.
He pads a bit farther towards a small stream and leans down to drink. At leas the water was nice and fresh.

 Shai sat on a tall rock, staring down at the water below him. He frowned slightly, his paws on the edge. It was so... tall! Who knew how the tiny male got up there, but he was defenitly stuck, too scared to jump down. Who knew how shallow the water would be? He sighed and laid down, his chin resting on his small paws. He was small for a male, and slender. That along with his feather soft shiny fur, he pretty much was always mistaken for a female... at least at first. His eyes fell half lidded. He'd been up here for so long! (Probably only about 15 minutes, but the tiny rainbow Ulaya was impatient.) Then he brightened, seeing the male drink a bit down the stream. He stood, his tail waggling, his horn sparkling in the sunlight. "Oh, hello there! Hello!"

Signal's ears twitch slightly at hearing a voice not too far off. He looks up, glancing around for any obvious signs of someone around him. Seeing no one at first, he was about to brush it off as his imagination acting up from how dull the area was. Until he saw a sparkle of.. something higher up.
Someone was there after all! He walks a little closer to the rock to have a better look, frowning just a bit. "Yes, were you calling me?" Strange, the voice was male but the ulaya on the rock didn't really look the gender from where he was.

The voice was soft and feminine, but recognizable as a male's voice. He leaned over the edge and waved a paw at him. "Yes I was! I don't suppose you could save me, could you? It's so high, and the rock that I climbed on fell over! Or... Um, is the stream very deep? I could jump in, ahh... that'd be fun..." He blinked and looked to the side, getting distracted as a bird flew through the air not too far away from him. "Oh!" It looked as if he'd almost jump after it, take to the air with it, but at the last moment he remembered himself, and started to sulk again.

Signal cocks his head to the side, staring up at the other oddly. Was it a male, or not? Either way, he couldn't just say no to someone that asked to be saved.
"The stream's only about ankle deep where I was, and it doesn't look much deeper than that here.." He pauses, staring at the other ulaya's antics with the bird that passed by. Strange.

His ears drooped slightly. It was too deep to dive into then. He sighed and rested his chin on his paws again.
"Oh that's no good. I'll never get down..." He heaved a soft sigh and sulked.

Signal frowns slightly, flicking his short tail. He glances around for anything to climb on for the other but doesn't see much.
"If you're not too heavy, you can jump on my back to get down.." He'd probably regret that later, but well he couldn't just leave the other stuck on the rock.

Shai eyed him for a moment, then perked up and stood again. "Oh really? You don't mind?" He wiggled his behind, crouching down in preparation to jump. "Get ready! I'll jump onto your back!"

Signal nods, turning to stand parallel to the rock. "Yeah, just don't jump too hard or anything." He gives his head a shake to move his hair out of the way.

The rainbow boy nodded and leapt from the rock. A soft squeal was emitted as he fell through the air, then he plopped right onto the larger male's back, immediately clinging to it. "Ahh!" He giggled franticly, and remained clinging, unless Signal moved or fell over.

Signal lets out a faint 'oof' at the impact. His ears twitched at the squeal, and twitch again at the giggling. "You could.. get off of me anytime you know." Still he couldn't make out if he ulaya was male or female, especially with that giggling.

"Aah.. Sorry!" He giggled a bit more then rolled off of him, plopping into the shallow stream. He lay on his back for a moment, letting the water roll over him, then he stood and shook some of it free. He looked even skinnier with his fur plastered against his thin frame.
"Thank you! You rescued me!"

Signal looks at him oddly for a moment, shrugging his shoulders. "It wasn't a big deal.." After a short pause, he asks the obvious question. "Are you male or female?"

He crouched down on his front paws, his long tail wagging. He obviously wanted to play. "Huh? Oh, umm.." He tilted his head at the question, as if he actually had to think about it for a moment. "Male!"

Signal stares at him a moment longer, now that it was confirmed the other was indeed male. Albeit a very feminine one.. very feminine. He takes a moment to study the other's posture. "What are you doing?"
