There's conventions all around the world through out the year, a lot of which usually have one or two connections to TMNT. I'm curious how many people here on the board goes to conventions even if only to ones in their local area to meet TMNT people.
I go to a lot of conventions and always enjoy meeting up with fans, I travel for them this weekend I'll be in Ohio for A&G, next weekend I'll be in DC for Katsucon, and than in April I'll be in NYC for NYC Comic Con.
Any other convention goers around here? Which cons do you go to? Who have you met? What con is your dream convention to go to? If you haven't gone to a con are you ever thinking about going to one? If you got to a lot of conventions which has been your favorites and why?

The only convention I've been to is Otakon in Baltimore Maryland and that was last year. I'm going this year also. Though that usually has nothing to do with TMNT the games there are fun. My dream convention would so be going to Comic Con....though the one place I'd really love to go, not that it's really a convention I don't think, is E3. Though that's a dream I'll never get. I say somebody needs to start a TMNT Con. I'd so go..if it was near where I live like in Baltimore or Philadelphia or Washington DC.

Heh now I'm getting ready for Katsucon... I keep busy when it comes to conventions. lol
If anyone is ever going to one and want to know if I'll be there so we can meet up, just ask me. I love meeting up with online friends ([:{-)

*laughs* My g/f was going to go to Katsucon Friday or Saturday for one day but she didn't have the money and she had to be back Sunday for a Yugioh Tournament.

Back from Katsucon. Sadly I haven't cosplayed in a long time, though it's like I cosplay as myself when I go. If I don't wear TMNT I swear people wouldn't know who I am wink
I got nerve damage so costume wearing is out of the question till some things can be done about my pain issues.... hate pain. Did your gf go as anyone? There was a lot of great cosplayers there.

She didn't get to go but she is cosplaying for Otakon. I really wish some of the TMNT voice actors go to Otakon this year. I'm going to die if Vic Migwhateverhisnameis goes because I don't really like him. Heard they are trying to get Jackie Chan which would be awesome. Only Voice Actors I would really love to see but I know probably won't ever be seen there because I want them to be is David Hayter, Cam Clarke, Scott Mcneil, and Matt Hill, and Eric Stuart. There are a few others I wouldn't mind but they aren't the top of my list. Though I do think Leo's voice from the new series went last year I just never got to him because I was trying to get an autograph from the guy who does Megatokyo.

Yeah Michael S. (Leo's 4Kids voice) did go last year, though he wasn't out and about much for even those who were there for him, he was sick a lot of that weekend a friend of mine went who knows him and she only saw him like 2 or 3 times. I just saw him this last weekend at Katsucon. Good luck at meeting those VAs, though I don't think Matt Hill will be doing any cons this year, he might be running somewhere near you. Check out http://www.runforoneplanet.com/ it could be a chance to meet him smile And this goes for anyone who's interested in meeting him. In Canada or the US. Read and see for yourself if he'll be passing by your area.

Nope doesn't go far enough into Pennsylvania for it. *laughs*
Yea don't even know why I'd go to meet any of the voice actors. I'm shy by nature and I don't have a video camera and even if I did I probably couldn't ask them anything if I tried because I'd think I was being to annoying or something lol. Though I would so love to ask the english voice actor of Naruto to say Dattebayo for some reason.

Well it is fun to meet them, and they don't think poorly of any fan with questions. Matt Hill and Scott McNeil are totally worth meeting, they're so nice and will answer just about any question. Scott McNeil won't let the autograph line end till everyone got the autographs they want... he refused to do the limit thing that the con tries to set and won't let them cut the line either. He likes to meet the fans and hear what they have to say.
I wish Matt and Scott would do more in the US, to see them I usually have to travel up to Toronto.

Well they line in Canada so it would make some sense why they mostly do things in Canada. Or at least Scott is..not sure about Matt but I thought he did if he doesn't.
