Pau Gasol's first game was a big success! 24 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists.

BREAKING NEWS: Heat considers trading O'Neal to Suns for Marion!!!!

That's a great trade for Miami. I think Shaq is going to prevent the Suns from winning a championship.

Lets see if Gasol could keep it up.

I'm so glad Phoenix got Shaq. I'm trying not to jinx it or anything, but I honestly agree with A1, O'Neal will prevent the Suns from winning it all..

As a Laker fan, it was amazing to see Kobe have a lackluster game and someone else stepup. And we won. Hopefully things continue to go our way

Not career wise but right now he's a better overall player then Shaq.

No Kobe will always be the leader.

These people obviously dont know who Shaq is. The guy who's the best physical player of all-time.

Suns did it because running and not playing defense isnt gonna get them the championship. Look at their last game against a Parker-less Spurs (SA won 84-81). Spurs won with defense and with Tim Duncan and Ginobili. Phoenix lost because there are just some nights when you arent hitting your shots, but defense will always be there for you.

Suns did this because they hoped Shaq would be that presence to guard Tim Duncan in the playoffs. Heat did this, obviously, to clear them the cap space. Overall it was an understandable trade.

The way you put it it's understandable. Miami traded Shaq because he was inconsistent and was having the worst season of his career and was always getting into foul trouble. Miami now doesn't have to deal with that

Pau Gasol needs a lot of credit. When he was injured the Lakers sucked!
