May 14, 2135. A Biological Research Center on Mars begins work on a Biogenetically Enhanced Human without the authority of the Earth Defense Force.
August 23, 2136. The first successful Biogenetically Enhanced Human is created. This specimen is labeled Subject 0024.
August 29, 2136. Subject 0024 begins to show signs of rapid evolution. "The ends of his fingers have grown into talons and his teeth have nearly doubled in length, becoming razor sharp."
September 3, 2136. The Biological Research Outpost is destroyed from the inside. No survivors were found.
January 1, 2137. The 'Neo New Years' celebration in Neo New York takes place.
January 4, 2137. Neo New York is attacked by an unknown fleet of vicious humanoids. Neo New York falls out of Earth's orbit.
January 6, 2137. Neo Tokyo, along with the Remnants of the Earth defense Force, destroy the unknown fleet. Research leads to the conclusion that the fleet was made of creatures similar to Subject 0024.
March 12, 2149. The Earth Defense Force is replaced by the Galactic Federation. The Federation classifies the creatures as Kaiwrath.
April 24, 2151. The Federation wage war against the Kaiwrath. Thousands of humans are killed, nearly millions of Kaiwrath. The Kaiwrath are able to force the Federation to retreat.
June 18, 2153. Present day.
The Earth is a scalded wasteland, most of the population either live with the Federation, or on the Lunar Colonies. Mankind is struggling to stay alive with the Kaiwrathi Threat destroying fleet after fleet of the Federations finest men. A few Elemental warriors awaken within the Lunar Colonies and one of the Federation Flagships. It is up to them to turn the tides of this War. A War against a nearly numberless foe, one that grows and multiplies daily. Technology may be limited on the Lunar Colonies, but the Federation always have the most up-to-date equipment available. The Earth Defense Force still exists, thought only Ten are left. They are not official, but they are the best fighter pilots in the entire system.

"The Earth, a pitiful place...I've got not where else to go I guess." Anime landed her fighter ship in a clearing in Neo New York. As she jumped out, she crouched down, pulled out her 45s and looked around to see if the coast was clear. After she decited that it was safe, Anime jumped back into the ship and turned on her sencery board. "Ok, where are you..." She was on a search and distroy mission for kiawrathe. A General told her a small scouting ship landed in Neo New York and were looking to take resorses for themselves. "There you are," Anime quickly turned on the cloking divice and put the ship in hover so kaiwrathi couldn't find it. She threw 3 bags on the ground then jumped down; the ship sealed up and she ran off.
As she ran into the hear of the city, she found the kaiwrathi in a building talking to one another. Anime hid behind one of the walls to listen. Though she couldn't quite make it out, she heard something. Now to a human, you wouldn't understand it at all, but she was 1/16 kaiwrathi, and understood a little. "...crashed ship...few weeks old...find and kill!" Anime a shocked to hear it, a person livine here in this waist land? "If there's someone here," she thought to herself, "I can't let these freaks get to him or her. Well, this is a search and destroy mission, so..." And just like that, she pulled out a plasma gernaid and threw it into the building. As it wento off, she could here them screaming in pain and raige. Anime rushed in when the smoke and dust was clear enough to see and shot everything that moved. "Lets see, there's 5 here, but there should be 6, where did..." A shot came from behind her and hit her left arm. Anime turned around and looked at her arm and then the kaiwrathi, she pointed the gun in her left hand at it, smurked and said, "wrong arm." She shot it dead center in the head and watched it die. Red liqued came running down her michanical arm, it wasn't blood, she didn't have any in her arm, it was just oil and other liqueds that looked like blood when mixed together. The arm started to repair itself as she looked at it remembering what it was like to have a real arm.
She ran off, without cleaning the blood looking liqued off her arm, hoping to find this person who has been livine in the decimated Neo New York. As she ran, Anime looked at a balconey and saw an arm hanging over the side. She ran inside and came out onto the blaconey. It was a man, didn't look much older then her, ragedy clothes, dirty, smelled a little, looked like he was uncontious. "Hello..." no responce, "are you ok?" Still no responce, "is is ok if I take you inside?" She really didn't care if he responded to that question or not, she pulled him in anyways. Thankfully the floor inside still had carpeting, so she layed him down on that, pulled a blanked out of one of the bags and put it over him. She then emptied out a bag full of food and medical suplies, stuffed it with anything soft she could find and put in under his head. Anime closed up the doors to the balconey as best as she could. She cut a hole in the carpet 4 feet away from him and found what she could in the building to start a fire. After retreaving things for 10 or 15 minutes, she snapped her fingers and started a fire. She then went to the medicle suplies and looked for some vitamen injections to give him so he'd have more energy when he woke up finally. "Here it is, this should do the trick." As she injected it into his left arm, she checked his pulse on his right arm, it was slow, but stable. Anime set the used medical suplies into a bag and sat over by the fire. "I wonder who you are," she thought, "well, who ever you are, you're pritty cute, even if your all dirty and ragety." She leaned over to whisper in his ear, "I'm Anime, no last name, just Anime."
She went out of the room to look outside to make sure it was safe to stay. "I'll be back."
When Anime came back after 10 minutes, he was still asleep, she checked his pulse, it went up a little, and was still stable. She went and sat in a shadowed corner across the room looking at him, both guns held in her hands, just in case. She looked at her left arm, "I wonder if I should clean the stuff off..." Anime thought to herself, "it's not like it's hurting me, might as well wait till I get home to clean up. At least it fixed itself." So she just sat there, waiting, until he woke up to do anything else.

The biological enhancements made on him have increased many different aspects of his growth. The ends of his fingers have grown into talons and his teeth have nearly doubled in length, becoming razor sharp. We have reason to believe that he could become very aggressive in the coming weeks. [Sergeant Grey P. Lorris: Federation Sergeant of the 4th division Land-based Assault Team. March 2, 2151. "The Kaiwrath are nothing but the scourge of the System, their numbers rival that of every human in the known Universe. How they have reproduced so quickly is beyond me, but I do know that they are not as smart as we give them credit for. It seems their tactics are very basic compared to the Military formations we have had for thousands of years. They group in large clumps, no formation at all. It is easy to determine where they are going to attack from. They head for the weakest target and attempt to weed out as many as they can before they fall. It's as if they can sense a person's weaknesses and injuries. They also have no will to live, they would do anything to kill their opponent, even if it meant their death. Normally, against an enemy like this the Federation would have no problem destroying them, but their numbers are far too much for us to handle...I don't think we can hold out much longer."]
[Logging off PDA]
Ruins. Neo New York fell onto the surface of the Earth after the vicious attack in 2137. The debris field stretched for hundreds of miles across the east coast of the old United States. Ironically, most of the station crashed in the abandoned city of New York. With both the old and new cities melded together, it was hard to tell the difference between the two. Needless to say, both the station and the city were both beyond repair. There were no survivors.
James McGrath, codename Wolf, looked up from his Personnel Data Assistant, PDA for short. He made a quick review of the Kaiwrath Data he had received from HQ before he took off. Perhaps if he had some back up at the time, he would've survived the attack above Earth. It was too late for that now. He had been stranded there for a week, at least. The pilot searched for something he could repair his ship with, but without a Power core, new frame, and canopy, the Silverfish wasn't going anywhere. Wolf rested his head against the wall of a standing building. He stood on the second floor, considering it was almost the tallest building in the area, it gave him the best vantage point. A pack of cigarettes rested on the floor, with only two sticks left. There had once been three, but that one was currently between Wolfs lips.
With a short drag from the cigarette, Wolf sighed as he went over his escape plan. "Step two, get off this planet. Step one...Gah!" He shook his head in anger, "I don't know what I'm supposed to do to get off this god-forsaken rock!" The man pounded his fist against the wall at his back, shaking a small amount of dust from the ceiling. Things were just going from bad to worse. With no chance of getting off Earth, he was bound to run out of food soon. As much as he didn't want to die here, it seemed like he didn't have a choice in the matter. "Jessica..." he said softly to himself, "I'm sorry..." Wolf took another drag when he heard a noise come from the stairwell. Quickly, he pulled out his Desert Eagle. He was too late, however. A Kaiwrath leaped through the door frame just as Wolf pulled the trigger. James succeeded in sending a bullet through the Kaiwrath's skull, but it had already done what it planned to do. At the same time the body hit the floor, a small cylinder bounced off the carpet once before coming to rest in front of the pilot. Of all the things the Kaiwrath had stolen, it was a Concussion grenade.
Such a weapon was not usually fatal, but it was still dangerous at close range. Working like a more powerful version of the Flash Bang, the Concussion Grenade was made to stun and incapacitate anything within a twenty yard radius of the grenade. It was possible fatal in the first five feet. As it was only three feet away from Wolf, only his reflexes could save him. During the second before the Grenade went off, James took a quick step away from the explosive. The cigarette stayed in it's position as his mouth let go of it. From James's point of view, the cigarette seemed to slowly fall to the ground. He could almost reach out and grab it out of it's suspended drop, but the Grenade went off. In a bright flash of light and smoke, James was launched through the door opposite the Kaiwrath's entrance. The sliding doors had no glass, but the frame held up until Wolf crashed through it. The blast sent him into the railing of a balcony before he fell to the floor unconscious.
He didn't know how long he was out, he could've sworn he heard voices, but the ringing in his ears still persisted. Slowly, he opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling. 'How did I get inside...I don't remember...' He thought to himself. Holding his head in one hand, and bracing himself with the other, Wolf sat in an upright position. His head throbbed in pain as a small stream of blood began to drip from his ears. "Ugh..." he moaned, "what happened...?" He asked, not expecting anyone to answer.

"Well, I found you knocked out, you'r pulse was weakening, and you looked like you haden't seen any real food in a while." Anime stood up and walked ofer to the man. "There was a scouting party of those freaks, but I took them out quickly, I guess not quick enough though." She looked at her arm, it was still coverd in the blood looking liqued, which had dried into what looked like dried blood on her arm. "I'm Anime," her hair laid on her right sholder as she kneeled on her left knee. Her eyes seemed to glow a bright silver by the fire. "I gave you some vitamin injections, you should have at least 25 - 30 % of your strength back.
I got a distress call from my ships computer, the Kiawrath banged her up pritty good, she's ok, but needs time to repair itself, could take another 2 hours, just enough time to get there and get out of this waist land." Anime stood up and threw more stuff into the fire, "so, what's your name?"

James could hardly process what was going on, but he could understand what the woman was saying to him. Who was she, though. He didn't recognize her at all. Was she a Federation Dog? Why else would she be here. Some pointless suicide Mission from the Federation. "James McGrath, Call Sign: Wolf. Pilot of the Earth Defense Force. 852-78-1153..." Name, Rank, and Social Security Number. The only things you ever tell someone when you are captured. He thought she was under the Federation, it did not seem like it, but he was hunted by the Federation for his skills. They would never kill him, but they would do anything to get him back. Wolf felt a trickle of blood roll down the side of his face. The Pilot wiped it off on his arm, then removed what he could from his arm with his shirt. He looked around the room. The Grenade did little to no damage to the building. Some tiles fell off the ceiling and his cigarettes were obliterated, but the building still held up. James carefully glanced at the girl tending to the fire. 'Anime...' he thought to himself, 'odd name...' He kept quiet the rest of the time during his inspection of the room.

The fire started to die, Anime snapped her right fingers and the fire started up again. "I'm not part of the Federation if that's what your thinking, and by the looks of it, I'd say you were." Anime sat down 3 feet away from Wolf and looked into his eyes.
"You see, I was captured by the Kiawrath when I was only 4, along with 30 others, all human." She stared down at the ground, then at the fire. "They experamented with us, put their DNA into our blood streem, I was the only servivor. The Kiawrath base was distroid and the Federation took me under it's wing, that's the day they gave me the name Anime...I couldn't remember my old one, it had been 9.8 years. I learned about what happends to servivors after a Kiawrath DNA inplantment at 14, I got this elemental power," she snapped her fingers again and her arm became ingulfed in flames, "fire." The fire on her arm went out and Anime turned her head to face Wolf again.
"The day I turned 18, a Kiawrath fleet tried to destroy the base, they faild, but I was one of 12 seriously injured people. They had to give me a michanical arm, leg, and eye. Now I only concider myself a freak. And for that, I left the day I turned 24. After all, you can't be a freak and be in the Federation fighting freaks like yourself now can you."
Anime squeezed her arm and more of the blood looking liqued came out. She looked at it and laughed a little to herself. "Now I'm nothing more then a Mercinary. I do all the dirly work the Federation doesn't even want its own dogs to do. It pays better, and you can do whatever you want...At first I came to kill a scouting party of Kiawraths, but I guess they wanted me to bring you back to a life of servitude for the Federation." Anime looked at him as if to try and read his thoughts through his expressions, it didn't work very well. "We need to get going, she stands up to strech. Think you can walk? Or do I have to carry you?"

Wolf listened half-heartedly at her story, not in a particularly caring mood after the concussion went off. Why was she telling him all this? He had more important things to worry about. The Kaiwrath knew they were there, it was no longer safe. If only he had a radio of some sort. A comm link would be great, but to find something like that in the ruins of Neo New York would be a rarity to say the least. James had to hope that someone from his squad was close enough to get his last signal before the crash. He sighed lightly as she started the next part of her story.
James was tired, his back hurt from the impact with the railing, and head felt like it was about to rupture. This was just not his day. He somewhat listened to the remaining story, before shaking his head, almost by impulse when she mentioned she was a Mercenary. "Frankly...I don't care how much they are paying you to bring me back. Tell the Federation that I'm not interested." In one quick shove, he pushed himself onto his feet. Despite having no energy to run off of, he was surprisingly able to hold himself steady. Wolf took a step towards the door, but his conscience kicked in at that moment. He couldn't just leave her here. "Although," he said as he turned to look at Anime, "If you want to help me off this planet, I could use a hand. You got a radio?"

Anime staired at him when he yelled and tried to get up to leave. He was still weak, and not enough energy to take more the a few steps. "The radio's in the ship. I can cary you there." Anime stood up and walked slowly to him. She picked up her bags and slung them on her sholder. Anime put her right hand on his sholder, her arm was scared and still coverd in the dried blood looking liqued.
"They were never going to pay me to save you, I did it cause I new you needed help, I don't plan on taking money for saving your life, I have more dignity then that." Anime looked at him with a sence of anger, even though she wasn't angry. It happens to her all the time. "I told you that story to keep you awake long enough to take a full skan of you with my eye. From the data I've collected, you'll need another vitamin injection before we leave." She sat him down and pulled out a gun with a needle. She pulls out a bottle with a dark red liqued in it. Anime placed in into the gun and grabed James's arm and injected him with the vitamins. "On your feet," she pulled him up and put the gun back in her bag, "lets go." And just like that, Anime grabed James's hand tight as she jumped off the balconey and landed onto the hard ground. She let go as soon as they got back up to run for the ship.
From out of no where came 4 Kaiwrath chasing them down. Anime pulled out her .45's and loaded then while she and James were still running. "Keep running strait ahead, you'll see my ship just beyond that hill!" She counted down as though she was timing herself. "...3...2...1...run!" Anime handed the bags to James and jumped around facing the Kaiwrath. She shot all four and slid on the ground re-opening the woond on her arm.Anime looked at it for a second, 'damn' she thought to herself. Anime got back up and ran fast to catch up with James.

Dmitri was hiding in the embankment next to the odd ship, being the only one for miles that wasn't smoking or in pieces Dmitri figured that James would come this way. Dmitri was an expert in using camo and so the only one that could see him was James at short range.
"Here they come." Dmitri said smiling,
hearing the gun shots Lance slowly moved towards the door of the ship puttin him self in the way of it, judging that he was about twenty yards from the ship Lance settled down for a good fight.

Anime finally caught up with James; they were no more then 14 yrds away from the ship. She grabbed him and pulled him to a stop at 10 yrds.
"That was to easy," she looked around and gave James one of the .45's, "I think you might need this." As soon as she handed him the gun, Anime pointed it at the ship, ready to kill. She moved slowly, the door was on the other side, she crowched down and moved slowly towords the door.

Dmitri was laying next to James about two feet away. keeping a eye one the women that almost stepped on him. On the hill side Dmitri could see a battalion of kywraith moving to flank James on both sides. figuring that his cover will be blown in a few seconds Dmitri stood up and placed a hand on Jame's shoulder and offered him an assault rife seeing that he was un armed except for the pistol.
"we're flanked...this will get messy!"
Dmitri pulled his last Frag grenade out and threw it to the east, when it went off it sent about five enemies to the grave and the rest rushed them.

Anime hurd a voice that was neither Wolves of hers. As she turned around, she saw Kaiwrath coming right for them. Anime grabed the gun she handed him and ran to the other side of the ship not noticing another person on that side. She opened the ship and jumped in.
"Hey!" she yelled into the radio, "can anyone hear me?!" "Yeah we can hear you, you're lowd enough." "This is Anime and I need you to get a squad down here now!" "What for?" "I'm flanked out along with 2 others, one by the name of James McGrath." A pause was on the other line, then another voice came on. "This is General Huse, I'm sending a rescue ship and a squad of flyers."
The transmision was over, and all Anime could do was shoot till she ran out of bulets, which would be a while.

His head still hurt. The ringing in his ears began to return as he was pulled from the building and told to run towards a ship. Without thinking, he followed the path that was set in front of him. He reached the ship, almost unaware of the fighting going on behind him. The girl Anime gave him a gun, but his head was spinning. He was in a haze, like the entire world was falling down around him. He heard a familior voice as his Gunman Dmitri handed him an Assault Rifle. He didn't know what was going on.
"Dmitri, Wha-" James began to ask as a Kaiwrath leaped from the top of the ship, aimed straight for Wolf. Something hit him, cleared his vision, and hightened his senses. Dropping down to one knee, James switched off the safety and chambered the first round. Depressing the trigger sent a hail of bullets streaming towards the airborne enemy. The barrage impacted with the Kaiwrath's body, sending it flailing through the air only to land beside the group. "On the right!" Wolf yelled to his Gunner as more Kaiwrath began to get within range.

The fight seemed to go on forever, the Kaiwrath wouldn't quit coming after them. 'Why am I still here fighting?' Anime ponderd no more then a split second, she quickly glanced at James remembering why. 'There must be another way to get rid to these freaks.'
She thought for a few seconds, then rememberd her ability, "fire...FIRE!" Anime decited to do the one thing she was told not to do, set the Kaiwrath on fire, but would it work? "James! Do you think setting them on fire would work?!" As she waited for his anwser, Anime kept shooting more and more Kaiwrath down like dogs.

"Fire? Are you insane? The Kaiwrath have some sort of regenerative peroperty. Setting them on fire will just mean we have one more thing to worry about if they get close to us." James looked around between fireing, searching for a way out. "Is there a sewer entrance nearby, anything we can use to get out of the open? There are too many Kaiwrath near this area to take off, and they probably have air support waiting for us to do just that." As much as he hated doing it, retreat was their only option. "Dmitri, can you find us an exit?"
