"...I will beat the <********> out of you," he says to this girl in a deep, heavy voice. Doesn't matter who she is, all that needs to be known is that she's done nothing.
Hitting is bad enough, but beating? Herm...
What would you do? Just curious.

This girl needs to be kept the ******** away from said guy. And you should too.
And I'm pretty sure there's a criminal charge in this somewhere, can't find it tonight though.

If the verbal threat makes the person scared enough to believe it'll happen, she can get police-types involved. Back in 9th grade, someone wrote me a letter saying they'd cut my head off. Police-types got involved then, too.
They didn't find the guy, since he scratched his name off the letter, but they got involved.

This would only happen while in school, and both of them are underaged, if that counts. But I'll look it up, don't worry yourself with it. ^^
Myst; Well, I say he's full of s**t. But personally, I'd make a comment near him, to my friends, only to where he'd hear it. I'd love to get hit, oh, how wonderful that would be. Totally worth all the punishment he'd get. As small as I am, a punch really isn't that painful. All the more worth it.

I don't know the whole story so I can't blame anyone but going around provoking people to further your own goals is never a good thing to do.

RedPyramidSH I don't know the whole story so I can't blame anyone but going around provoking people to further your own goals is never a good thing to do. Well, that is true. But he is deserving of it. Very. But I"m not making the decision for her, just supporting her in whatever happens, and helping her.

I had a best friend who did this to my ex girlfriend back in high school (that is, verbally threatened her), I think he tried making her cheat on me with him too. Now he's got a few problems with his temper and in his head but he's never hurt anyone.
ANYWAY, in the end it turned out that she was provoking a whole lot of it by sending out mixed signals and not being upfront. Just be blunt and tell him you guys aren't going to put up with his crap and he should get in line. He's just some kid in high school there's no need to bring in cops unless you REALLY think he can hurt you guys.
BTW-this old best friend of mine and I are on speaking terms again and even hang out occassionally. The ex isn't. Provoking never works out.

I'm sure you can relate, at least. I've seen it.
Anyway, yeah of course I wouldn't leave you alone in a room with him or something. I certainly don't trust him all that much but I'm not going to hold a grudge.
I won't say that it didn't involve some compromise on my part, but some bonds are strong and run deep.
