I'm getting a pewter ring and I wanted to know how strong and durable the material is. Anyone know?

I've painted pewter figures before. It's pretty durable, better than lead at any rate, even though the paint goes on easier with lead figures.

Cool, cool. I thought it was a very weak and breakable material, pewter.

Certainly not. People used to make mugs and plates out of that stuff.
