Yes, I am a non-christian. To clear up the question that will be asked, i am a practicing Pagan. To be more specific i practice Wicca. So the questions i have.
1.Why is Paganism regarded as worshiping the devil?
2. In your opinion is it wrong for me to be in a catholic school when im not catholic?
3.Why do people constantly call it evil?

In darkness you paint us, but we will not hide.
Were light of the country in which you abide,
Were fearless and strong, and protectors of life,
Hidden in the shadows, we conquer all strife

We come from the Old Ones, our linage secure,
We rise from the ashes, we always endure,
Its time you remembered that we were here first,
We healed your sick, yet suffered your worst.

From time immemorial weve women our lore,
Cunning folk, healers, benandanti theres more.
Were black and were white, were brown and were yellow,
Were women and children, and mighty fine fellows.

Were her hidden children, the angels of light,
Our task is to teach and to help set things right.
We conjure and cast, and whisper and pray
So you can enjoy your freedom each day.

Weve long been your army, protecting your back,
When you are in trouble, in secret we act.
The mother is watching she hasnt missed much.
Shes gathered Her magick and given the touch,
To Witches and Pagans and Druids and such!

The times are a changing and one thing is clear
The lord and the lady have now reappeared.
Two pillars, three points, four quarters extend
Five is the number of magickal blend.
By moon and by sun, by earth and by stars
Realize this day that the power is ours!

Pagan pride

Live it, breathe it, be it!

I apologize for not replying right away. I only get on my computer once a day as I am extremely busy. I'll try my best to answer your questions, but they may not be very detailed.

1. Paganism and Wicca use a lot of magic and spells and in the bible it says that magic is a sin and there is a myth that people who practise wicca are witches and therefoe worship the devil.

2. I don't think this is wrong at all. If I weren't so close to graduating from high school, I would have taken a year at a Catholic school . I think it would be interesting to learn about the Catholic religion.

3. Same answer as #1.

I hope this helps, even a little bit. I don't know a whole lot about Paganism and Wicca, so this is the little knowledge I know about the religion.

1. As barbie said, practicing magic is a sin. However, I'm aware there's more to wicca than that. In olden times Wiccan's were called witches rather wrongly, and that's where the myth of worshiping the devil came around. As with most rumors, it stuck and is hard to get rid of.

2. No, I don't think it's wrong at all. No oneever said you had to be catholic/christian to go to a catholic/christian school.

3. Because of #1, and because they don't understand it, and what people don't understand, they fear and label "evil".

Thank you for the answers. It just kind of bugs me, because people see it as "evil" and all that, yet paganism was the first religion ever on this earth. If you guys have any questions about Paganism or anything related to it id be glad to help. I can only get on once or twice a day. Im also still open to hearing just opinions in general on the subject.

Hi there!

I will almost share the same answer with them.

Remember:
-being the first doesn't always mean it's right.
-not because someone is not right in Christ's (Bible's) eyes, Christianity will have to reject them. We are called to reach out to people who needs to know Jesus more.

You are most welcome here too bro and yes we would like to hear some of your views too.

I mean no disrespect when I ask this, but how do you know that Paganism, or Wicca, was the first religion on this Earth? The reason I ask, is that, of course, me being a Christian and having read a good amount of Genesis, know that Adam and Eve were the first ones on this planet shortly after God made the planet and they were to be there with God and keep the Garden of Eden in order. However, when they were cast out for eating the Forbidden Fruit, it doesn't mention anything about them dabbling in other religions at that time. If you have something that talks about the beginning of the Wicca religion, I'd like to read it.

Not that it really matters which came first; "chicken or the egg", I'm just curious as to see about this religion as well as what it entails so I may better answer your questions as well as learn a few things myself.

Until then, I cannot completely answer your questions. I do apologize but I won't answer your questions on a topic I know very little about. I do hope you understand and will give me some information on your religion so I can answer any questions you may have like the aforementioned above.

Thank you and have a good day, bro.

I'll be glad to answer that. I was Wiccan and I'm a history buff.

Anyways historians have found that Wicca/Paganism is the first religion in the world. The Romans celebrated the week long celebration of Saturnalia which is celebrated around the same time as Christmas in fact Christmas was created to convert the pagan masses. The pagans who turned Christian were allowed to still celebrate Saturnalia but that later changed. Christmas ironically enough is when Saturnalia ended. Dec 25th. The Greeks and Romans celebrated different Gods before Christianity came into play. Wicca was around when Greek civilization thrived but only in the Welsh countries. It wasn't given the name until the 1940's or 50's. (I don't remember which it was) and historians have made the connection.

Now with Adam and Eve we honestly don't know if they were truly the first humans. All we have is a book that was written some 3,000 years ago. Possibly either older or younger than that.

The reason why Christians say Wicca is related to the devil is because they are too afraid and too stupid to understand its true nature. Those who are afraid of the unknown or don't know what it is and refuse to do their own research for fear that it may send them to "hell" is what usally causes it. That ignorance is ultimatley thier downfall. (I however am very open-minded about these sorts of things and do my research and understand Wicca very well.)

I you go to Catholic School when you're not Catholic I find that there is no problem with it whatsoever. It is your choice and no one can tell you other wise. I think going to a Catholic school or a private school is safer than going to a public school. But that's just me.

They call it evil because again they don't know what they don't understand.

I love the little floating heart things with the bat wings its so kawaii. ^__^.

Alright, but did you come across anything that was before the Greek and Roman time about Wiccan or was that originally the birthplace of it? And when you say "in fact Christmas was created to convert the pagan masses", what do you mean exactly? That sentence kind of confused me.

The birthplace of Wicca wasn't in Greece or Rome but more in the Isle of Wales. Welsh territory. That and it came into the Celtic lands. I used Greece and Rome as examples because Greek and Roman society was one of the first. Along with the Aztecs, Incas, Egyptians, Mayans, Babaylonians. Greece and Rome is where democracy and the Republic was born.

From what I gathered when I was doing research for my opinion piece in Journalism, was that Saturnalia was a holiday in which people of different social stature switched places ie the Masters became servents and the servants became masters. It was a week-long period in which there was no order. The courts were closed so no one would be arrested. It was a holiday in which you could indulge in sin without getting caught. I remember reading that the Roman public chose an enemy of Rome to play the part of the Lord of Misrule. On Dec 25th the end of the holiday the Roman public would get rid of the evil by killing innocent people. 1.Why is Paganism regarded as worshiping the devil? I never exactly thought of it that way.
2. In your opinion is it wrong for me to be in a catholic school when im not catholic? No I don't think that its wrong, It is not for anyone to say whether its wrong or not.
3.Why do people constantly call it evil? I don't call it evil, In my heart I feel that its evil but I do not go up to someone who is pagan and say that they are evil. God said to win people through love. Who am I to say that you are evil when I sin against god from time to time. God said to look at ourselves before we judge one another.

"I am the Lord thy God, thou shalt have no other gods before me."

Pagans don't worship God or see Christ as their Savior and Lord. They may not directly worship Satan, but because of their affiliation with false gods, which are demons, they are deceived by Satan.

I don't agree with Catholocism either way, neither do most Christians, what school you go to doesn't really matter.

It's evil because the practice of witchcraft is a sin. God loves everyone, even pagans, but He hates their sin and wants them to come to full repentance.

As for Wicca being the "oldest" religion, that's absurd. It's only 70 years old itself, if even that. Paganism was practiced fairly early in history, but so was Judaism.

1. Ok, any power that is given to you but not from God is given to you from the devil. If you use his power you are pleasing him. And at the same time displeasing God.

2. No I think that going to a cathic school is ok even though you are not one yourself. I went to a Christian school that there were cathlics there. I don't think that it was wrong for them to be there, but I do wonder why they weren't in a catlic school.

Has any of this helped?

Umm I think I should let you know that Christiananity was the first religion. Adam and Eve were the first people on the earth and they were Christians. Yes they did sin......BUT they did/didn't bring sin into the world. Satin tempted them and they ate the forbidden fruit.
