A reddish brown soquili appears near a lake, grazing on the newly grown grass that seems to be shooting up. He flickers his ears to make sure no one was on his territory that would hurt any human especially his human. "...We need to have respect for our humans alot more." He stomped his foot as he had felt bad for not being able to save his human from getting hurt on their ride. He was known as Pilgrim among the humans and so he would be called as so among soquili as well.

Qismah relaxed as she laid soaking in the sun. It was still snowy and chilly but she was enjoying the little bit of warmth the sun had to offer. The snow was beginning to melt away some and now and then one would be lucky to find shoots of grass.
Her eyes were closed as she enjoyed just basking, laying still and letting her mind and thoughts run away with her....and it was with a sudden loud stomping noise her eyes flew open and her head shot around to see where the noise had come from. Her tranquil enjoyment was in a way ruined but as always curiousity got the better pf her and she decided to go see who or what had interrupted it.
Slowly the black and white mare got to her feet. This was one if her favorite spots too, by the lake. She remember ed when she and Shilah had just hung out and talked. She missed her friend and wondered how he was doing. And Cassie....she had not seen the little red mare for a while now.

The red stallion flickered his ears when he had heard something. He looks around the surrounding area until his eyes reaches the sight of a mare. He slowly began to walk towards the mare. He wanted to know if the humans owned her too or if she was a human-hater. "... Who could that be? A wild soquili or a tame? I shall find out when I meet it." He said to himself with a smile on his lips.

Qismah's eyes scanned the surrounding area and quickly found the tall reddish chestnut stallion....and it seemed he had noticed her as well for he seemed to be moving towards her. Now she really was curious.
He had a strange smile on his muzzle as he drew closer in his approach. Qismah stood silently and studied him. He didn't seem dangerous and she didn't get any bad vibes so there was no reason to take a defensive stance. She swished her long two tone tail back forth patiently. She just could not resist the urge for a little fun.
"Why hello Thar!" she called as he was now within a few feet of her. A grin took place on her own muzzle and her eyes twinkled. "You must be new around here. I've never seen you before."

He just merely looked at her before taking a huge breath, walking even closer. He nearly jumped when she had called out to him. He recovered himself and chuckles softly, ".... well, Hello!" He said with a smile on his snout. He seem to take in her looks and mane, wondering if she is a human lover still.. "What is your name, miss?"

Qismah could not contain herself as he jumped and burst out laughing. "A little jumpy are we? did you think lil ol' me was gonna bite you or something?" she grinned and chuckled to herself.
"My name is Qismah. and you are?" So far she was fairly amused but then, when wasn't she? Life had been a little dull as of late so a new face and some excitement to chase away the boredom was welcomed. "Where are you from? and when did you arrive in these parts?"

The stallion smiled sheepishly before replying, "I didn't expect you yelling at me like that." He shook his head at her before looking at her. ".....My name is Pilgrim. I am not far from here. I have been around my human for several months.. I think since fall. What about you? Are you a human hater or liker?"

Qismah chuckled. "Well then my dear dear stallion, you need to be on your toes and expect the unexpected." She moved forward to walk around him and get a better look. His coat was like the color of fire almost. "Several months? Strange I've never seen you before. but it is nice to meet someone new"
Her head tilted as she came around front to his odd question. "Human hater or liker? thats an odd question isn't it?" She had never met a human so she was not sure if she liked them or not. "I've never met a human, only seen them from afar. I'm not sure so I cannot answer if I don't know right? I don't like to judge something until I meet it."
She smiled thoughtfully. "Although my father hates them. I think he was harmed as a foal by humans, although I am sure not all humans are cruel as the ones he knew were, he still distrusts all humans. "

Pilgrim chuckles softly when he had heard her comment, "Really? I'll have to remember that from now on." He said. He turned his head to see what she was doing, catching her spots on her back. "Just what are you doing? I feel like I am on a soquili show where the best looking soquili are being looked at every inch and tail.... No offense, Miss Qismah." He smiled as he nodded softly. "For some reason, it makes me feel good that you are doing that."
"Yea.. Human haters.. They are the worse kind of soquilis that I have ever met in my life. No offense to your father but once they hate humans.. they tend to go bad. My human is my best friend. She has done everything for me even nursed me back to life when I got hurt from protecting her from a panther." He said as he looked at her right into the eyes, being very serious about what he just told her.
He nodded about what she had said about not all humans are cruel. "I can attest to that since I have had met some cruel ones in my time. All I can say is best watch who you learn to trust. One of the humans that you can trust is my owner. She is the kindest, sweetest and most caring human I know." He smiled as he said that, almost like bragging about the human.

Qismah grinned. "I'm just taking a look at the stranger who has so willingly approached me. I might want to have a nibble if he looks good enough to eat.....mmm tastey" She winked and gave a little chomp with her jaw, clearly joking but enjoying teasing him. After all this was her nature. "oh you like being eyed like a juicy piece of meat?" She quirked a brow and nipped at his mane playfully.
"hmmm we;; my father is not a bad soquili....you might want to research your view on that and find out if there are good reasons some hate humans. Mind you those that just hate them for no good reason need a kick in the teeth and have some sense knocked into them. " She nodded her head and stomped a hoof for emphasis. "My father doesn't bother humans and he is happy as long as they do not bother him or his mate." She watched him closely. She liked pilgrim but she would not stand for any ill talk of her father and her eyes shot him a warning gaze. "Well then you have a good human and friend there...but do not assume all humans or soquili are the same. There are bad humans as there are bad soquili"
"indeed, I always like to give others a chance to prove themselves and get to know them but at the first sign of trouble, they'll know it. I don't tolerate anyone who would intend to do me or those I care about any harm. "

Pilgrim may not have realized it but he had blushed quite deeply, enough for her to see it. "Maybe so, Miss Qismah. I see you like to be such a tease and a flirt, hmm? Be careful, I may take it seriously." He said with a teasing wink of his own. "Do you find me suitable for you, madam?" He asked while bowing down to her playfully.
"I did not mean to insult your father, Miss Qismah. I just stating my own opinions about soquilis who have never met humans but yet don't like them at all. I think they should meet them before passing judgement on them." He nodded to her comments with a smile. "May I help you kick them into place, Miss Qismah? They need to learn that most humans will love you for you who are not what is your rank or breed or whatever." He looked at her as he continued to listen until she had complimented his human, "Thank you so much for the compliment. There are indeed bad humans and bad soquilis. What make them bad? We may never know, hmm?"
He chuckles softly at her last comment. "You remind me of my herd mate, Cassie. She may be sweet but her temper is.. lets just say her words can make your skin crawl. I thought she was innocent and wouldn't get mad for anything." He laughed as sweat drops anime-style, looking at her. "She is very protective of her herd.....Have you met her?"

She nodded her head in agreement. "Oh yes that I agree with. I think any living creature deserves a chance to prove itself and be known before being judged like that. " She smiled at him. "Such politeness, but please, just call me Qismah. Miss just sounds...weird." She sighed softly. "I wish I knew what made others bad..if we knew that we could prevent it somehow. "
Qismah quirked a brow with a mischievous twinkle in her eyes. She walked over, closer to the chestnut stallion and walked around him slowly this time, before walking right up alongside him.
She gave him a big grin and then before he could react, she licked his cheek and trotted to where she had been standing in front of him, giggling of course. "hmmmm tastes good enough for me." She chuckled and gave him a wink. She just could not resist the urge, although the idea he might take the teasing and flirting seriously didn't really seem like a bad idea. He was handsome enough at least.
At the mention of Cassie's name her ears perked...."Cassie? Is she a pretty red mare with a lovely curly black mane and tail and spots?" Qismah grinned. "Oh yes I know her...she's a good fiend of mine. Haven't seen her in a while though."

Pilgrim looks at her with a toothy grin. "I always have to respect the females but yes, I will call you just Qismah." He felt her walking right up to his side when he turned to face her. "Um.. What are you doing? Are you alright?"
..... That is when he got the lick... "Oh.. boy.. I um.. I um.." He began to stutter and think out loud. ".. I need to stay cool.. Um.. She.. licked me.. A cute mare licked me!" He closes his eyes as if he was gonna faint but opened them towards her. ".. Um.. um.. What can I say? I am such a handsome fellow.. I think?" He said, being unsure of himself at the moment.
Pilgrim quickly recovered himself and smiled softly. "That is Cassie alright. She has been mostly spending time with another stallion, getting to know him. Snowlily, her mother has been worried about her... She is mostly a worrywart."
Little did she know, he was playing back the memory of her licking his cheek and the feeling of it as well. "..... I liked your lick.. You got a soft tongue." He said while blushing like a little foal, something you'd never think to see on a headstrong soquili.

Qismah simply laughed. "Yes I can see respect but I think Miss is more for older soqs then a young mare, don't you think?" She winked at him and grinned. She slowly walked towards the lake's edge as she watched him stutter and she couldn't help but laugh and giggle at his reaction to her lick.
"Oh I'm a cute mare am I? " she couldn't help but wiggle in place and flop her mane from side to side and giving a cutsey look. She wasn't sure what the point of it was really except to have fun and be silly as always.
She decided to give him the obvious eyeing up and down, just for laughs. "Why yes, yes you are a handsome stallion. Quite an eye catcher with that lovely fiery coat of yours" she grinned and winked at him, flirting of course.
Qismah arched a brow. "Oh yes that is Cassie. this other stallion, would it happen to be Shilah? a rather pretty looking tannish colored stallion with black stockings and a black mane and tail?" Qismah knew full well the two had spent a lot of time together and she was happy that a possible romance could blossom between her two dear friends. "Well Snowlily..I don't know her but she is always worrying from what Cassie tells me of her."
Pilgrim's next statement caught her off guard though and the mare blushed profusely. "errr thank you..I wasn;t aware it was soft but I am sure thats a good thing." Composing herself she wiggled her eyebrows playfully, "Want another lick?"
