Kohaku as an egg:At this stage, my little Kohaku is a small, oval-shaped egg with a pastel letter adorning her side. I'm told the letter identifies what type of creature is inside the egg. I'm very careful about keeping the egg clean and warm, because I don't want anything to happen to her before she hatches. Likes- warmth, singing, being held Dislikes- cold, loud noises Relationships- Right now, Kohaku isn't able to have any real relationships, but she seems to enjoy my prescence. I can't explain how I know... maybe I'm just dilusional. Kohaku as a child:My dear little egg has hatched to reveal a lovely little angel. Her personality is as bright as her amber colored hair and eyes, and the soft white dress she wears. Her wings are still new at this point, and though she tries very hard, Kohaku is rather clumsy with them. She never lets her failures get her down though. With a giggle she's off to try again till she gets it right. Likes- Singing, learning, kittens, birds, making friends, her mommy, Rae, most of mommy's pets, the sun, milk & honey, trees, grass, puppies, horsies, flowers, bells.... ((writting squeezes tightly into the space, completely filling it till its forced to stop for sheer lack of room)) Dislikes- mean people, the dark, storms Relationships- Her mommy, Rae, mommy's pets... and everyone else! Kohaku is outgoing and friendly, always trying to make new friends and meet new people. Kohaku as an adult:??? Likes- ??? Dislikes- ??? Relationships- ???

Kohaku's family:Name: Anakora de Terinoq, aka Dragonz Age: just over 200 years Species: half-dragon, half-human Likes: The color blue, animals, art, chocolate, music Dislikes: spiders, needles, the dentist Personality:Dragonz is a friendly person, and likes being with other people. She artistic, and it often shows in her out look on life, and the way she does things. Being the Princess and heir of her dragon clan hasn't affected her much, beyond the fact that she prefers to live near a small village, in simple surroundings. The life of the court wasn't for her. She may seem soft, but she has a core of steel and isn't afraid to fight. Brief History & Misc. Facts:Dragonz's mother was a the Queen dragon of the Towering Water's clan. She fell in love with a human mage, and Dragonz is the result. When she was old enough, the hybrid left home to travel, eventually settling down in a two story cottage outside a small village. She runs a shop from her home that sells special potions. These potions bond a creature known as a 'dream dragon' to a human. She is very powerful in magic, but the only way she can seem to use it is through her shape-shifting ability. The magic does break loose on occasion when she's under extreme stress. Relationship to Kohaku:She's Kohaku's mother figure, her caregiver and teacher. Even as an egg, Dragonz loved her dearly and sought to always give her the best of everything. Kohaku's Friends:Rafael~Dragonz's companion, she is a Dream Dragon. She and her dreamer run a shop from their home, selling potions that bond more dragons like her to dreamers like Dragonz. Noble, kind, and protective, she's the one that always keeps a level head and knows just what to do to fix anything or keep it running smoothly. Rae is Dragonz's anchor, her stability when she needs it. She's also Kohaku's loving aunt and babysitter, taking care of her when Dragonz is gone. Kai & Twilight~Dragonz's Sunchildren, these two are father and daughter. Some strange quirk in Twilight's genes keeps her from growing up normally, but Kai seems to have no problem with this. He dotes on his little cub, the only one of the three from his only litter that Dragonz kept. Kai is loving and friendly with Kohaku, and Twilight is a rambuncious playmate.

Toys: I got this little book for Kohaku so she had a place to keep her jornal. Its infused with solar magic, and I'm hoping that contact with the book itself will be good for the light-loving angel. I figured now that Kohaku has her own little room, that I should get her some things to make it personal for her. This little windchime has just the sweetest sound, and I came upon Kohaku singing to its random notes as the wind blew threw her window. This gift is more for my vanity, and her's, than for any practical use. It was so pretty, I just had to get it for my little angel. Kohaku adores it, and is super careful not to loose or damage it. The sweet little thing has to wrap it twice around her wrist, but she'll grow into it eventually. This gorgeous little basket was being given away at the shop where I got Kohaku's other toys, so I took it. It looks so pretty sitting in her room, with its eggs decorated so brightly. Its one of her favorite toys. Gifts:None Fanart:None

~Dragonz's Journal~
I'm so excited! I finally recived my egg from Meru!
In exchange for hooking Sian up with an Aeriment, I recieved this very special egg. 'Course, the deal was a little harder than just promising to bond Sian to an Aeriment. I had to talk to Atanaqui, who is our liason to the Aeriments, as well as my own Aeriment, Aramina. Between the three of us, we managed to find a lovely little female who agreed to bond with Sian. I'm so happy that they seemed to hit it off.
As for my egg, I've decided to name her Kohaku, after the main character of one of my favorite mangas. I have high hopes that the little angel inside will be just as sweet as the character. Yep, this egg has an angelic Mysterian inside! I was very lucky that Meru happened to have one.
Since Kohaku will be one of the more humanoid of my myrad pets, I've cleared out the room next to mine and set it up for her. Its a child's room, in a pastel blue color. A child size bed is in the corner, with a bedspread covered with little kiki kittys. I put a white desk under the window, and a toybox next to that.
Which reminds me... I need to go get some toys for my little girl...
The room is still rather bare, but I don't want to decorate much until the egg hatches. I don't know what Kohaku will like, so I'll just wait.
I also need to get some kind of knapsack for her egg. I've got her under a heat lamp in her room, but she seems to like being with me more than being under the lamp. I can't really explain it, but she just seems happier when I hold her...

Welcome Home, Kohaku...
The door creaked as the hybrid, Dragonz, opened it. The hour was late, and stars spangled the velvety black sky far above the two story cottage she called home. She stepped inside and closed the door quietly behind her, looking around the dark interior of her workshop. Here, the half-dragon made potions that she sold to other creatures. And not just any potions. These potions bonded them to a dragon that lived in the world of Dreams. Right now, though, the shop was empty, all the apparatus used to make the potions clean and safely stored away.
Claws clicked quietly on smooth hard wood floors as Dragonzed hitched a sling higher on her hip and crept to the door that connected the shop to the main living area of her home. This door didn't creak, as she had it oiled very carefully. The creak on the main door was purposeful, as it served to alert those inside the house that someone had entered. Maybe I should get a nice little bell for it... She thought as she stepped softly into the living room. On the couch a large red form raised its head, yellow eyes glowing softly in the darkness.
"Go back to sleep, Kai. Its just me." The male sunchild blinked then yawned widely. In the space between his front paws, a small head popped up and mewed curiously. Twilight was Kai's daughter, and the two were near inseperable. Kai pulled his cub close and layed his head back down, resting his chin on her back. His owner smiled in the darkness, the movement seen meerly as a flash of white fangs in the darkness.
Dragonz padded through the living room to the stair and on up, heading down the hallway to her room at the end. Turning left, she opened the door and stepped into cool radiance. She had chosen to make this her room for one very specific reason. The hybrid had a strange affinity for the full moon, and often spent hours gazing on it at night. The moon shone directly in the large window above her bed, gilding everything in silver.
Besides the large bookshelf full of novels and knick-knacks, there was a desk eternally cluttered with paper and art supplies. Dragonz loved everything to do with art, and spent a good portion of her free time at that desk, sketching and inking, occasionally painting or using oil pastels. It was one of her great passions, besides music. Her newest passion, though, hung in the sling she carried. As the half-dragon settled down on the bed, she pulled aside the clothe to reveal the smooth, creamy shell of an egg, a rune shining softly on its side. This was a Mysterian's egg, the newest addition to her 'pets'. But this particular egg was far more than just a pet.
The moment Dragonz had saw it, she'd known the fierce love and happiness that only a mother can feel. Inside this egg slept a small creature, a creature that Dragonz already thought of as her daughter. Living alone as she did, the hybrid kept many creatures as companions and pets to lighten her lonliness. Still, there were things missing from her life. She had a mate, a wonderful male dragon, a half-breed like herself. With the addition of this egg, Dragonz finally felt that her life held something that now resembled the family that she craved so much. She couldn't wait to show Darien little Kohaku. The hybrid wondered what he'd say about her, if he would like her and agree to act as her father. It was a fond wish and a dear dream.
A family... the thought was sweet as Dragonz settled back on her bed, Kohaku's egg held close against her body beneith the blankets. Dreams swirled into her mind as she slipped off to sleep, and a faint smile touched her lips as she walked arm in arm with her beloved, the little Kohaku singing as she skipped ahead of them.

~Dragonz's Journal~
I took my little Kohaku to Arrakis' birthday party. I want to socialize her as much as possible, as early as possible, so I thought the party would be a good place to meet new people. Unfortuneatly, I arrived late.
I feel rather bad about that. One thing led to another, and I barely arrived in time to be greeted before Arrakis hatched and the party ended. Oh, she was such a pretty little thing. And a dragon too! I have rather a soft spot for dragons, with obvious reason.
I'm pleased to report that meeting Arrakis in the egg produced a much stronger response from Kohaku than I've ever seen. She actually moved inside, making the egg shake! My hopes are high for when she finally hatches. With how nice Arrakis turned out, and the good responses I'm getting from Kohaku in the egg... I just can't wait!
I still need to get something to carry her egg around in... I need to go to the store.

An Early Morning Talk...
Dragonz hummed softly as she lounged in the window sill in the kitchen of her house. Across the room, her companion Dream Dragon fussed about making breakfast. The hybrid was really too lazy to make breakfast for herself, and if it was up to her, toast with jam would be quite enough. Lucky for her though, Rafael liked to cook, and made the meals.
When she finished the first song, Dragonz launched into a different one. A soft cloth in her hand moved over the shell of the creamy egg she held, cleaning it. This had become a part of the morning routine now. Rae made breakfast while Dragonz cleaned and polished her Mysterian's egg.
"I really don't think all that touching is good for the egg, Anakora. We dragons just lay ours in sandy pits and turn them occasionally. All this movement is sure to jostle the creature inside and cause problems." Rae flipped the eggs in their skillet. Dragonz just smiled and shook her head from her seat.
"The contact is good for Kohaku, Rae. It lets her know her mommy is close by, and watching over her. I want to raise her right, and this is the best way I know of to bond with her right now. Besides, I keep her warm when I hold her, which is good for eggs." She gazed adoringly down at her egg, smoothing the cloth over its smooth surface. Unseen by her, Rae rolled her eyes and shook her own head.
"You know what happens when a child is coddled too much. I'm not saying you should cut off all contact, but you don't want her turning out like one of those princesses you despise so much. Isn't that why you gave up your title, after all? So you wouldn't be like them?" Rae ignored the nasty look directed her way by her companion.
"I know, Rae! Geez... Do you do anything but nag...?" Dragonz gazed sullenly out the window, gently polishing her egg while Rae chuckled behind her. They both knew this was far from the end of this particular debate. While Kohaku was growing, this subject would come up quite often.

Just A Little Stable Work...
Dragonz whistled as she bustled around the shed out back of her house that was used as a stable for her riding or equine type pets. Kohaku's egg sat in a bright ray of sunshine through one of the shed's large windows. Flecks of dust danced through the light as the half-dragon took a deep breath, feeling both her body and mind relax with the familiar, comforting smell of hay and horses.
Kohaku shook a little inside her egg, the softest of sounds eminating from within the creamy shell. Ever since the party, she seemed to be getting more and more active. A little movement, the occasional sound that could have been a snatch of melody.... Dragonz sighed as she reached out to softly stroke her 'daughter's' egg. Hopefully those were signs that she was getting closer to hatching. Such a wonderful, scary thought.
Ferja, a blue horse with white tiger stripes down her legs, nickered and trotted over to nuzzle her owner happily. The woman smiled as she stroked the long, soft face. Ferja was a Critter, the only pet she had that she'd gotten to pick specially without having to pay extra for the traits she wanted. She'd never known another shop that did that. Zion sqawked from his nest in the corner, rising up to trot over as well, jealous of the attention the mare was getting. While he was colored like a red-winged black bird, Zion was infact a Chokobo. He had also been one Dragonz had specially chosen from the pens, though she had payed more for him as he wasn't part of the current batch for sale.
It would seem odd to most people, how many 'pets' the blue-skinned woman had. They were of all shapes, sizes and colors, many specially chosen for a higher price while some were from auctions or flatsales. Some were even gifts for the services she'd done to various shops. It didn't matter to Dragonz how she had aquired her companions, nor how many she happened to have as the number kept growing. She loved each and everyone, and dutifully cared for them.
She smiled as the bent to the task of grooming the two animals. In a little while, she'd be able to show Kohaku how to do this. She imagined little hands holding the curry brush and akwardly running it over the soft fur. A small, cherished face breaking out in a smile as she did something right... Dragonz started to hum as she daydreamed, her hands sure and agile. In the sunlight, Kohaku shifted and softly hummed with her.

~Dragonz's Journal~
I don't know what is with me lately. I'm distracted almost all of the time, and I find it hard to do the work I need to do. I'm worried that I'm letting people down, but I really can't help it. I could push on through my apathy, crank out the stuff that needs to be done, but... It just wouldn't be the quality of what I can do when I want to. That's mostly my reason for putting off my work and hiding from reality.
Speaking of which, Rae is getting anxious as to just how I'm doing my escaping. I can't bare to tell her the truth, and I've even been closing my mind to her, something I havn't done since we first bonded. What would she think of me, if she knew my dirty little secret? I just try to hide my wounds until they heal, but there are times when she can't help but see the little cuts and scrapes all over my skin.
I should go buy some more makeup, or find a potion that will help me heal faster.
Being with Kohaku helps, of course, but when I'm with her, I can't help but see how soiled I am compared to her shining purity. My heart aches, and yet... I can't stop... won't stop. I need my escape, for my sanity. Perhaps once she hatches I'll give it up. Once I can hold her in my arms, I'm sure I won't need any of that anymore.
Darien has also been a wonderful sorce of support to me. When I'm upset, he makes me laugh and lightens my mood. He's always there when I need him, and it seems I need him more than ever now. But not even he knows where I go at night, and unlike Rae, he hasn't even seen the wounds.
What am I to do? Time.... I need more time... A break from responsibility....
