I would have to say that my fav. DT member is James Labrie. The first time I heard him sing in ''Home'' I was like, "Holy s**t... who is this guy...?" And since he''s Canadian even makes it better. I was surprised to find that out aswell. He was just a normal child who grew up enjoying hockey and most things Canadian. I was amazed at his talents and skills as a singer. A true Idol.

Yeah, I'd have to say James as well. His voice was really easy to listen to when I was first getting into prog, and ever since then he's been an inspiration to me. Just the amount of variety his voice has blows me away. He can sing as soft as "Goodnight Kiss" and then rip it up with songs like "Crucify". His voice is phenominal, and it just keeps getting better. cool

True that. Ya know, it's so strange. I always thought that the singer for DT was the singer for the Canadian band Trooper, if you ever heard of them (And I'm sure you have). Until I found out it was Ra Mcguire. At first it was hard to tell their voices apart but clearly, James has his own style which some singers lack. I wish I had a personal opera coach to help me with my singing. Lucky b*****d!

It's amazing to listen to his lightening fast solos. When I first heard those I thought it was fake. I couldn't believe anyone was that fast until I seen a clip and I was blown away. Literally. I had my mouth open to the floor with boggled eyes at the screen. Lord Petrucci! I bow down to you!

It was hard for me to decide, but I thought: What would it have been of DT without Mike?! They all rock, they do deserve that name, but for me, I pick Mike Portnoy

But yeah, I don't think Dream Theater would have been the same Dream Theater without Mike. I see Mike and John(Petrucci) as brothers. Always joking and talking with eachother.

But I wonder if he doesn't mind it. After all he is the Silent Man. Like he does that on purpose. He doesn't care for the fans or the glory. He just wants to play music. Over the years the has been putting that kind of performance as being being quiet and collected, and if it did bother him he would no doubt change... I think anyway. But I think he's cool, especially when he stands there with his guitar kinda swaying and moving his body and head like a snake or something... so mysterious.

My fav. Jordan Rudess! Best keyboardist in the world! I think it's so cool. But all the members are great, but I just love the keyboard so thats why I have to say him. I guess people really decide more on what they like and play. Most people if they play the bass well they would say that the bassist is the best, ect. Well still doesn't change my mind though. Oh yeah go Jordan Rudess!
