Greetings, all. I'm going to start DSW2 early, and I'm very happy to say that for once, I've got something to contribute to the MPRILC. 'Tis an experiment, and I'll need volunteers. It's very simple. All any willing volunteers need to do is record their nightly dreams, and any key themes [the important part] contained therein. This will occur over a period of a week, most likely, and then if you've volunteered you may submit them to me at the end of said week.
But Subbykins, you may ask. What is this for?
Well, I'd really love to have this experiment be as blind as possible to begin with, so details will be unveiled after I have the dream records in. A few guildies will be made privy to prior plans, but none of the volunteers.
So, you may volunteer now. Let's hope I get enough people willing to do this. If I don't, don't say I didn't try! The experiment will begin when I've got a suitable amount of volunteers.
Bare-bones guidelines for dream records: Descriptions nice, not required. Any personal dreams experienced do not have to be divulged, but the key themes [as long as they're not too personal] are still preferred.

Well this didn't stay reserved long. Forgot to add something in my OP, completely optional: The volunteers are encouraged to send me a picture [over Gaia PM, it'll probably be how the dream logs are sent] of a symbol or a sigil that represents themselves in some way: something that could be reproduced, say, on paper.
Volunteers Thus Far [Submitted Symbol]: 1. Keziah Rose [x] 2. Blind Guardian [ ] 3. Khalida Nyoka [ ] 4. Zurine [x] 5. Yami-no-Albedo [x] 6. Water Shaman [ ] 7. DrasBrisingr [ ] 8. ShadowHail [x]

*raises hand* I'll volunteer!
I just don't know if a week will be long enough, though...I'd say two weeks at least, to get a better sample

This experiment to be as blind as possible? Well, I guess you'll need me then. I'm in. **sign** I usually have pretty interesting dreams, I have to say. The last one involved a live pig in my refridgerator. neutral

Blind Guardian the 2nd This experiment to be as blind as possible? Well, I guess you'll need me then. I'm in. **sign** I usually have pretty interesting dreams, I have to say. The last one involved a live pig in my refridgerator. neutral If I remember any of my dreams upon waking, I'll send 'em in. Blind: Oh yea? In part of my latest dream I was momentarily a mini-van sized Optimus Prime! Beat that! (totally not joking, btw)

I'll join, if you don't mind. I'm usually fairly good about remembering my dreams, if I make an effort of it.

All right, this is good, my thanks to those who've volunteered thus far. I'd like around 3 more people, and then we can begin.

Normally I'd help you out with something like this, but...I'd probably throw off the results, due to the fact that I'm starting a medication that has been known to cause nightmares and changes in sleep/dream patterns. This isn't the first kind of this medication that I've tried, and since the last one I was on did cause me to have frequent, vivid, and weird-a** dreams, this one will probably do something similar.
I'll still record stuff if you think it'll benefit your experiment at all. Since I don't know your hypothesis, I don't know if it'd throw it off. Just let me know.

I'll go ahead and put you on the list; this is an experiment with magick, I just realized I didn't make that quite so clear, so I don't know how physical factors will effect things yet. So I think as long as you have dreams it'll be good.
As a general side note, I'm thinking of having this blind for a week, and then reveal what this experiment's about, and continue for another week afterwards. After that, I may want to repeat it several times with tweaks as we go.
