well, in my opinion, they're just another dancer. i dance with a few guys and its never really struck me as odd or uncomfortable to have them in class. sometimes its fun to watch guys when they go across the floor or are doing the combinations because almost all of the boys in my classes are way better than us girls. i guess it's because they have more muscle than us girls do. i mean, if a girl in our class could jump as high as the boys, then i'd prob watch her instead. not meant as an insult to boys.. but we girls are a little prettier to watch. sweatdrop

It is amazing watching what the guys can do seeing as how they're so much stronger plus guys in classes are awesome because of lifts!

I glare at them for being able to do more turns than me!!! twisted no, not really... but, they really are just another dancer like Illustrious Verse said. though, i wish my ballet teacher would think the same way. Since we have a lack of boys at our ballet school, she tends to favor the boys more, when we do have boys at our school. i find it unfair for her to give the guys better parts although many other girls had been there a whole lot longer (I mean years longer) than them. Most of the stuff we do isn't classical ( such as the Nutcracker or Swan La ke)either, so it's not like the guys have a set amount of stuff they have to be in.... sorry for the ranting! redface

The only guys at my acadamy are either grown men or the two little boys in Ballet 2. There's one guy that's around my age, but he's not really part of the company, he only plays the Nutcracker once a year xD
He and the only guy teacher left at the acadamy tend to check me out. Prolly because I have curves xD

I think the stigma about boys in ballet is what keeps most of them away. Even though, most classical ballet outfits for guys are a pain to wear and honestly look bad. Ever since we had guys wear decent modern-dance-inspired clothes we tripled the number of male subscriptions.
