Has anyone noticed any mistakes in the books or even in the movies for that matter. I was reading the fourth book today and when Harry writes to Sirius about his name appearing out of the Goblet of Fire it says:
"I don't who put my name in the Goblet of Fire, but I didn't do it."
The word "know" is missing. Has anyone else noticed this mistake? (I have the canadian, hardcover edition)

SPOILER
In the American edition, when Dumbledore and Harry enter Horace Slughorn's house, something "darkly red and glutinous was spattered over the wallpaper." Later, when asked what kind of blood it was, Slughorn explains, "On the walls? Dragon...My last bottle, and prices are sky-high at the moment." (p. 65) However, in book 5 (OoP), when Hagrid finally returns in Chapter 20 he is nursing his bloodied face with a green-tinged steak of dragon meat. "He picked up the steak and slapped it over the left side of his face. Greenish blood trickled down into his beard as he gave a soft moan of satisfaction." (p. 422)

At the end of the fourth book it says the carraiges are still horseless... when in reality, at that time, Harry should be able to see the thestrals because that was after Diggory died.
Please ignore my horrid spelling...

I don't think this is really a mistake, but it's something that struck me as 'odd'. In the first book, Hagrid says that there's not one witch or wizard who went bad that wasn't in Slytherin (soft-cover edition, p.80) and I remember Ron saying it in the movie. But... James Potter, Remus Lupin, Sirius Black, and Peter Pettigrew were best friends, and they were all in the same house, weren't they? James Potter was a Gryffindor, meaning that the other three were, too. But, look at Peter Pettigrew! Killing muggles and blaming it on innocent Sirius, and trading sides to go work for Voldemort, the worthless little... Anyway, did that strike anyone else as odd, or is it just me that's odd for thinking about it like that?

That's wrong, because Ron said in one of the movies "There isn't a witch or wizard who went bad that wasn't in Slytherin." That meant that the Dark wizards came from Slytherin and Slytherin only. But at tyhe time they didn't know about Peter Pettigrew, so that could be it. Or it could be a slight exaggeration. Or they forgot about Sirius(they thought he was evil). Not neccessarily a mistake, though.

The saying about evil wizards and Slytherin is an exaggeration; not ment to be taken completly and totally seriously.
It may be true on most accounts, but that doesn't mean it's law.

It'd be kind of obvious that the blood was staged if it was bright green.
