redface I'm pretty sure I saw a dead priest when I went with my boyfriend to his church. (Which is odd to begin with because I'm Wiccan.)

Once dreamerspirit, xx_mooney_xx, and yami-no-tenchi were over myhouse and doing a bit of ouiji board work, and we called up xx_mooney_xx's two cats to come talk to us. The cats started playing with the string we hung up for them, and it litteraly twisted into a J. Thats something i will never forget.

When they communicate with you, what is it like? Do you hear them meow, or is it all subconsciously, like words?

The cats started playing with the string we hung up for them, and it litteraly twisted into a J. Thats something i will never forget. Then there was also that time when we were using the Ouija board and the whole room started to smell like weed... that was freaky! None of the people who were present at the time had ever even tried weed, nor did any of us want to! We freaked out and fled from the room so Yami's mom wouldn't suspect anything (like almost all parents shes anti-weed, and she against Ouija boards too... I think...)

When they communicate with you, what is it like? Do you hear them meow, or is it all subconsciously, like words? It's a teensy-tiny pagan religion consisting of a blend of Wicca, many forms of Shamanism, has a fairly strong emphasis on mediumship, and a mess of other stuff (a tad of Buddhism, a dash or Daoism, a bit of this, a bit of that...). It's all pretty free form, no one's obliged to believe every part of the religion, just the basics (not hurting others, not killing, being kind to others, respect others beliefs/practices/whatever, etc.) and from there you can kinda pick&choose the specifics. It's a kind of disorganized religion... and it only has one coven-ish thing... which is also rather disorganized... maybe yami or em can explain it better... sweatdrop

But basically, dreamer is totally right. Most of us members in this guild are already shamedigan, but we just put a word to the concept. As long as you are anti killing, believe that there are more then one life, and have a respect for all living things, then you fit into this catagory. Its really, really broad, and thats how its gonna stay. mrgreen ~yami

I havent even heard of it yet!!! gonk *sniffle* i feel left out crying Sorry! crying It's basically a ritual used for 'officially' breaking away from a religon which you may have been initaited into as a baby/child, yet you no longer wish to be a part of. I personally don't believe that children should be forced into a religon if they don't want to. I'm personally against chrisining/baptising/initiating a baby into ANY religon, on the grounds that the child is far too young to comprehend the entire concept of religion, and thus really has no say in the matter. If I ever have children, though I'm deeply spiritual, I will not introduce them to the concept of religion until they are old enough to comprehend it, and then I'll allow them to choose thier own path.

I think, and this is solely my opinion, that you should just ask some greater power to watch over them.
Not necessarily God. Not necessarily Buddha. Nothing in paticular.
Just entreat them to watch over the child.
When the child is old enough, then they can decide what they wish to do with their religion, or even a lack of a religion.
Let them have their own freedom of choice. It's a decision that they can, really, only make rightfully on their own.
