Is it safe for a female to have sex in a hot tub? How about something like a lake or in water in general? I've heard so many things, a lot totally the opposite I just don't know what to think anymore... sweatdrop

I don't really know, but in a public place like a lake or a pool, don't you think there could be like bacteria or diseases of some knid that you really shouldn't have inside you? I don't know, but I personally would risk it.

I wouldn't have sex in anything public pool/ hot tub, just for the germs. I think it should be ok if it's your clean, private hot tub or bath :/

I didn't think about the germs and stuff... I'm actually not worried about that at all (except in an actual outdoor pool) 'cause I have a pretty good immune system. I've just heard that having sex in a hot tub could kill the female 'cause of air bubbles or something, but I've also heard of people having sex in there and it was good... O_o So is it actually safe to have water in there...??

Having sex in a hot tub is not going to kill you. However, sex in a hot tub or pool does pose some smaller potential health risks.

The problem is that water takes away our natural lubricant. Now that's not a problem when we're simply swimming or taking a bath, but it can be a problem if we try to have sex in the water. Without our natural lubricant, we're more likely to experience pain, discomfort, ripping, or tearing.

Keep in mind that hot tubs are not just filled with water, they're also filled with chemicals like chlorine. Those rips and tears you might get in your v****a provide places for chlorine and other chemicals to enter your body leaving you more vulnerable to various infections.

Even without rips and tears though, chlorine and bacteria in the water can enter the v****a during sexual activity increasing your chances of infection.

If you want to read more about that, check out this site:
