 As you enter the tribe, secluded deep in the wilderness you smell burning sage, and you hear various different sounds resembling bird calls. All of the houses where adorned with animal skins, and towards the center a bon fire is ablaze, and many women dancing around it. The general feeling is primal, and yet spiritually uplifting. It is a place of empowerment. (Don't ask about the bird picture.)

-Athena shimmers into the center of the village, causing all the amazons bow down in her sacred presence. Athena smiles and motions for them to rise.-
My great sisters of the amazon! I have come to deliver to you my blessings for your loyalty, and courage. And to also give to you a new light of hope. It has been a difficult time for you all, with the tyrants of men doubting your strengths, and cutting into your tribal land, forcing you to retreat into smaller and scattering numbers. Trying to eliminate any woman who dares to exercise her willpower. But the more they fight us, the stronger we become. The age of the Amazons will rise again! We must attack with all of our strength to the root of our oppression- Ares, the god of war's army! He is weak and unaware, so gather all of your sisters together and prepare to take advantage of his temporary distraction, and strike quickly and merciless to all of the ignorant men who dare to belittle your abilities.
(Edit: I won't leave yet. I'll chill with the nonexistent amazons for a little while.)

-Goes into the weaponry to take inventory, and notices the Amazon queen.-
Ah, I'm glad to see you here. I would like to discuss with you the departure of the battle. Time is of the essence, and we must be swift in order to be successful. I realize that it is last minute, but this battle is greatly needed for the future welfare of the amazon race.
We shall attack at once.
-The Amazon queen hesitantly agrees, and calls out for everyone to get prepared for immediate battle. Athena looks proud as she watches the amazons ready themselves.-
Now we'll see who has the brawns as well as the brains.

With a thud, Xena lands on the ground next to Athena and Cyane. She glares up at Athena, "Maybe next time you can not let us fall, hmm, Athena?" she said in a irritated tone, standing up and brushing the dirt from her leathers. She glances around - it looks pretty deserted. She senses something though, with her incredibly amazing sense of hearing. She slowly and cautiously draws her sword from it's sheathe on the back, before glancing over at Athena, "Alright there miss Goddess," she said with a roll of her eyes, "What exactly am I supposed to do here," she murmured, looking around, keeping herself on guard.

-Athena makes no notice of Xena's comments, or her uneasiness.-
Just do what you do best, Xena. Fight. Everyone else is waiting over that hill for the command to attack. We stopped here for supplies, but once we reach the Amazons, we will depart immediately into battle. Any other questions before we go?

Xena listened intently, wish that they could just skip this whole damn part and go up to Olympus, she was starting to get really angry with the whole gods and goddesses system right now. At Athena's words, Xena gave a quick, curt, shake of her head, "No more questions, lets go," she murmured, ready for battle.

(( Okay, so I know I didn't get okayed to RP as Ephiny yet, but I am just going to assume that it is okay with Fluffy and everyone else. Cause I mean really, this is the Amazon tribe and there are no Amazons! stressed So yup, I will be Ephiny.))
Ephiny tightened her grip on the hilt of her sword as she watched Ares's army approach in the distance, effortlessly balancing on a thick tree branch. She was waiting for a signal from Athena to order the Amazon's to attack. Her palms were sweaty and she was nervous; she wasn't sure if this war was the right thing for the Amazon's. She didn't trust the God of War or his army of men, but she also knew that men were not the enemy, just like the Centuars weren't but she also knew that it would be unwise to disobey Athena. Sometimes Ephiny wished that Gabrielle hadn't left her as queen in her absence, it was a hard job I wish Gabrielle was here now, she would know what to do.
Just as those thoughts passed through her mind Ephiny felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand up and she had to turn her head. What she saw made her heart jump and a smile come to her face. She took a deep breath and composed herself, placing her warrior stoicness back in place before jumping down from the tree. She landed right in front of 6 feet of leather and bronze.
"Xena..." She said sticking her arm out in a warrior salute. Xena took her arm and allowed a brief smile to play at the corner of her lips, but Ephiny has known Xena for many years and could see worry behind that smile.
Ephiny scrunched her eyebrows in worry. "Wheres Gabrielle?"

No need to fret. You have the favor of a goddess, failure is not an option.
-Athena turns to look at the army, while unsheathing her sword.-

[[Yay! I was waiting for an Ephiny! lol]]
At the sight of Ephiny, Xena let out a sigh of relief. Of all the amazons, Ephiny was her favourite - of course aside from her bard. Ephiny was the Queen in Gabrielle's absence, and she knew Gabrielle had made a wise decision. Finally a friendly face she thought, taking Ephiny's arm in the warrior handshake, a brief yet distant smile playing on her lips. When she was asked where Gabrielle was, the 6 foot Warrior Princess glanced over at Athena, then to the army, her jaw visibly tensing. "Ares has taken her captive up on Olympus..." she said, her voice letting Ephiny know the anger, and yet the warrior princess was able to keep her emotions at bay, which she was glad for. "Athena and myself have made a deal, I help you fight this battle, and she'll bring my up to Olympus to get Gabrielle back from that smug b*****d of a God," she said, anger and annoyance in her beautiful ice blue eyes before she nodded at Athena, "Right then - lets get this going," she said, prepared for battle, giving a nod also at Ephiny. Xena was glad - if there was one person she wanted to be fighting with against Ares' army, aside once again from her bard, it was Ephiny. "Let's go," she murmured, waiting to be whisked to the battle so she could get her hands dirty, or so to speak.

Ephiny glanced towards Xena and than Athena, both of whom nodded their head. She knew they were waiting for her to command the Amazons. She took a step forward and drew her sword and let out loud Bird Call. Than took of in a run.
At the command many Amazons jumped from the tree tops and ran towards the battlefield fallowing her and Xena; she could hear others run forward through the trees. She glanced up and gave an encouraging smile to one of her warriors as she ran past.
As Ephiny got closer to Ares's army she could tell they were ready for an attack, snarling and drawing there swords. The Amazons were greatly outnumbered but they still had many advantages, this was their home turf, they had the trees, and they were faster and stealthier. And of course they had Xena, a very angry Xena.
Ephiny raised her sword and let out a war cry as she thrust her sword into the first of Ares's men.

-Athena contemplated whether or not to join the fight, or to just watch. But eventually she gave in. She couldn't resist a good battle. She ran forward fiercely, Slashing into the gut of one man, while kicking another behind her. After a brief time of slaughter, she looked over and saw a young amazon cornered on the ground, with a soldier raising his sword above her, without hesitation, Athena raises a hand and sends out a bolt of lightening directly into his chest, blasting him into oblivion.-

Xena felt a rush of adrenaline when she heard the battle cry from Ephiny. She darted forward, sword in hand as she clashed with Ares' men, killing one after the other, an instinct she felt she'd been born with. It was in her to kill - but it wasn't exactly something she was proud of...and yet she found it was a part of her. Killing in battle for her, was like a Ares and scum...it just went together, it was part of her...always had been, always would be. She brought her sword and plundered it into one man's chest, pulling it out and swinging it behind to dive into another man's stomach. She gave her warrior cry and flipped over a man who had been running at her, turning and throwing her breast dagger so it burried into his back as he ran, causing him to fall. I'll get it later she thought, using her chakram to throw at a man who was about to stab Ephiny from behind, turning around and slitting another's throat. This battle seemed to go on long...and yet slowly but surely she could see the Amazons had the upper hand now, as one by one, Ares' men were falling.

Ephiny mind almost completely shut off in battle, as her instincts took over. Listening and feeling everything in the battle with her body. After killing the first man she spun around and slashed another through his middrift and than stepped back and elbowed a man in the gut who was coming up behind her; than knocked him out with the hilt of her sword. She made sure that she always had a good view of the entire battle, looking over her tribe and made sure she had Xena's back knowing Xena had hers.
Just for a moment Ephiny become distracted as she was surprised by a bolt of lighting flying past her and killing one of Ares's men. She turned her head to see Athena let out a wicked and amused laugh as she swung her sword.
Gods... She thought shaking her head.
Ephiny felt a sudden sharp pain in her side and suppressed a cry in her throat as an arrow dug itself into her flesh. Quickly she pushed the arrow threw her side and pulled it out of her body with little less than a painful groan. She took it in her hand and thrust it into a man coming towards her as she raised her sword to rejoin the battle.

Xena felt herself getting more in tune with the battle, her sword becoming a part of her once again as she killed several men within a few seconds really, her chakram flying to protect random amazons, who otherwise would have been killed on the spot. She felt a slight pain in her arm and realized one of the men's daggers had been thrown at her, and luckily she'd moved at the last second causing it to merely graze her arm. Sure, it was deep and painful, but at least it hadn't actually penetrated her skin, and just cut it. It bled pretty badly, but it was no never mind to her. Instead she killed the man who did it easily, and spun around to kill another. After a good thirty minutes of straight battle, what was left of Ares' army retreated, knowing that the Amazons were too strong now, and would kill them all if they stayed. Xena returned to Athena, composed and dignified, not caring about her arm. They'd lost some amazons unfortunately, and some needed to be treated...but other than that, they'd done good. "Athena, I've helped you - the amazons can nurse their injured - It's time we go to Olympus," she said, staring the woman directly in the eyes, as if challenging her to say no.

-Athena looks into Xena's eyes, with a smirk on her face. She wiped away some blood from her face, then put her sword away.-
Don't worry, Xena. I'll take you to your little girl now.
-She reaches her hand out to touch Xena's cut arm, but Xena flinches away and glares at her. Athena just laughs-
You trust me too little, when really we are sisters under the skin. I support what you do, and I respect who you are as a warrior. If you ever need my help, do not hesitate to call upon me.
-And with that, Athena touches her arm, healing the wound before the both of them vanish into Mount Olympus.-
