Brief History:
The land where Moonlight High sits was once something that nobody seems to ever speak of. Many creatures walked it hard, dry dirt, but none stayed for long. The last two remaining were man, and the Darklings. At the time, the Darklings had taken the shape of tigers, saber-toothed-tigers, wolves, and many more creatures that man feared. Once man overcame those fears, the Darklings were forced to flee, for that was their only haven, their only home. So after a while of being hunted, they came up with a way to crush one hour of the day into an instant, where only they, and people who were born at that exact instant, can move about. But the secret hour only occurred at the Moonlight High property.
After figuring out the curse of the secret hour, and after buying the land, Headmaster Henry Darkmoon thought up a name, a thirteen-letter name, to keep the Darklings away. But eventually the Darklings grew accustomed to the name, and advanced toward the property…

Moonlight High is full of secrets.
Some come out at midnight.
Some should stay hidden.
Moonlight high, a boarding school for the gifted, lies in the middle of nowhere, the land running for miles around the small haven. It’s almost like a town itself. The High school sits on the east side, near the cafeteria, while the dorms are all around it, and other small buildings {Empty warehouses, the pool, a small room with games and music, the auditorium, and other stuff} lie on the other side, along with staff rooms. But the academy is not all it seems. Strange things happen at midnight
in Moonlight High. Time freezes. Nobody moves.
For one secret hour each night, at exactly midnight, the town belongs to the dark creatures that haunt the shadows. Only a small group of teenagers know about the secret hour, and only they are free to move about in the midnight time.
They are known as the ‘Midnighters’.
There is one spot, to the North of the school, but it is edging closer overy day, where normal, non midnighters, can go into the blue time. Electronics still don't work there, but the humans provide a better meal for the Darklings. The midnighters need to find a way to stop the 'rip' from growing.
But the blue time doesn’t only happen during the night. As the school year goes on, the blue time comes out during the day. It’s only supposed to happen at midnight. The orphaned Midnighters, with no old Midnighter to tell them anything, need to find a way to stop it.
Though they don’t know it, the walls between the secret hour and real time are crumbling. Soon the dark creatures will break through and feed well at last, and the normal people will fall into a certain death trap, where they are no longer frozen…unless the seven teenagers can find a way to stop them.
But, do all the teenagers want it stopped? Maybe it’s better if they get to stay in the cool haunting blue hour forever. But only they know how to survive it.

This is the first year Moonlight High is open. The headmaster, Headmaster Henry Darkmoon, is a bit of a loony, or so people have heard from the stories. No one knows about the secret hour until they reach the academy, and experience the frozen blue time for themselves. The midnight hour has a haunting blue color to it, proving it has come. A huge dark moon lays on the horizon, moving across the sky as Midnight goes on.
No technology can be used in the blue hour. It all stops working, unless the Flame-Bringer uses it.

Headmaster Darkmoon is currently hiring teachers, but as the first year open, and the fact that the headmaster, and school, isn’t what it seems, he needs many teachers, especially of the following:
Mathematics {Can be trigonometry, geometry, ect. But just math, basically}
English
History
Some sort of science
Art

The Dark Creatures:
They are called ‘Darklings’ by the lore. They feed off the ‘Daylighters’ or normal humans that become frozen stiff during the hour, or Midnighters. They’re afraid of new technology: Steel or metal untouched by inhuman hands/claws/ect, Math {A certain pattern that explains the thirteen’s}, light {the sun, flashlights, light bulbs,
ect.} and things with thirteen something’s {Ex. Thirteen letter words, thirteen points on something, thirteen thumbtacks in a door…} They are huge jet-black creatures that can turn into any animal/creature, but when around humans {including Midnighters} they take the shape of the human’s worst fear.
Slithers:
Slithers are the Darkling's…buddies. They are snake-like at first, but can change shape as well. Normally they just lead the humans/Midnighters to the Darklings, and claim the scraps.
Midnighters:
Each Midnighter has a special talent.
Seer:
Has what they call ‘the Focus’. Always had glasses. In the secret hour, they can see perfectly without their glasses, but in daylight they need them. When something gets touched by a part of the blue time, the Focus clings to it, and it’s only in focus without the glasses. Only they can see the mysterious symbols in the lore – a stone lying in the desert around Moonlight Academy – and only they can interpret them. The lore contains the whole history of Moonlight High, and what the land used to be.
Polymath:
Excels at math. Know lots of patterns/equations and thirteen letter words pop into their mind without making them think. Also good with words. {Ex. very good at scrabble} They can calculate almost anything in their heads and can remember most things too. They can do almost any problem in a matter of seconds.
Acrobat:
In Midnight they have a different gravity, making them almost weightless, their every step is a hop, like being on the moon. They can leap about twenty feet high, or even more. Anyone touching them gets the ‘midnight gravity’ also, but they have to be touching.
Mind-caster:
Other’s thoughts, feelings, emotions, ect. flow into their mind. They can ‘taste other’s emotions, and feel other’s pain. They can’t control when the thoughts go in, but they can block them out with other sounds. By touching others, they feel the emotions and thoughts and feelings a lot more clearly, and the two touching feel each other’s minds {Thoughts, emotions, feelings} entering their own mind. By ‘tasting’ the air, they can sense almost anyone, unless in a large crowd. In Midnight, their senses perk up, and they can sense people for miles away. There are some ‘dead zones’ around Moonlight High where the Mind-caster’s mind can’t reach. They normally recoil from any touch and are usually quiet, and ill tempered.
Flame-Bringer:
Bring technology into the secret hour. Most Darklings fear the Flame-Bringer, because of their power to make the technology work, but the Flame-Bringer has to be touching the electronic. She’s the one everyone wants to be around, because she offers safety no matter what.
Blacksmith:
Forges all the metal they need to fight Darklings and slithers. Always really good at metals, and can easily tell which metals are cean of the blue time. Very very strong. Normally makes all of the weapons.

I have been through ~ Claire was abandoned when she 6 doe to her mother dying and her father not wanting her. She was raised on the streets by two homeless guys who treated her like a sister. They tought her to fight, steal, and stuff like that. She recently learned about Moonlight High and decided that it would be good to go there. She is having a hard time making friends since she is a little jumpy and shy.

Yukio pulled up into the school parking lot his midnight blue Chrystler 300 reflecting the sun's glare. Getting out he unpacked a few bags and carrying them went to find the Headmaster his old friend.

Henry sat in his office, content that a new year was starting. It was finally time to find others to help him. Claire, on of his maids, knocked on the door, opening it to reveal herself carrying a platter.
"Here." She set it down, and looked over the headmaster. "Ready to greet everyone?" Henry chuckled, drained the cup, and sighed.
"That's what I hate about this position..." He stated, pulling his hair back into a low ponytail, standing and heading out into the cool morning air. Claire followed loyaly, holding two unbrellas, for it was supposed to rain. Henry approached Yukio, and smiled.
"Yukio." He greeted, grinning. "Thanks for coming."

Yukio grinned it had been years since they last seen each other "Hey its been a while huh, and I'd love to chat but these bags aren't very light you know could you show me to my room?" he asked politely fingers starting to slip.

Akira pulled up to the school in her beat up mustang that her parents gave her, She slowly got out of the car and grabbed her bags. She gave one last look to her car and shook her head, "poor old thing" she whispered looking at the school.

Melissa's old Ford rattled up to the school. She sighed, stepping out and grabbing her overstuffed duffel bag from the back of th old pickup.
"You sure are lasting a long time..." She mumbled, patting the car. She slung the bag over her shoulder and headed toward the entrance of the school.
"This is going to be a long day..." She murmerred.

Henry grinned.
"Of course." He motioned for Claire. She stepped foreward. "Can you show Yukio to his room?" He asked, smiling still. She nodded, and he turned to Yukio.
"When you finish unpacking, please head to the reception hall, over there." He pointed toward it, then continued. "Be there by eight, we need to start formal introductions of teachers. See you then!" He smiled, and turned around, telling other students the sae thing, and checking where their dors were on the list he held in his hand.

Yukio followed Claire to the teacher's rooms. Mumbling a thank you as he hurriedly threw his suitcases down as momentum made him fall on top of them. Looking around to make sure no one saw him he stood up straighten his glass and started to unpack 30 minutes late Yukio closed his door and made his way to reception hall.
