Kanki laid next to a pond happily gazing at the water, her paw was slightly in the water gently flicking against the surface creating small ripples. She smiled, finally knowing what it was like to be free and not be chained down by family for being just a child, but no more. She was an adult now and has gone off to travel and live by herself, she didn't have a curfew, any chores, or any annoying Ulayas around telling her what to do, it was almost perfect.
Kanki sighed and the bright light she gave off dimmed a little, she was getting kind of lonely though, Kanki hated being alone yet it was something that she could rarely avoid. Kanki looked up at the sky and tried to identify what some of the clouds looked like, she would do that often when she felt lonely, clouds were pretty good friends you know, almost always there for you.

Nimue ,who was also gazing boredly up at the clouds, hazarded a glance to her right. There, she saw a rather peculiar looking Ulaya! She looked, well, magical, to be quite honest. Nimue stared a bit more, not wanting to be rude, and then called out to her.
"Um, hello? Err, I'm not sure if you've realized, but you seem to be glowing a bit. Well, obviously you've realized, but, well..." and she trailed off, feeling rather stupid.

Kanki looked towards where the voice came from, it was another Ulaya, a pink one. "Yes, that's quite natural for me actually, my mother and grandfather and cousin glow too." Kanki called back with a small laugh, "I'm Kanki, and you are?" The other seemed nice, they were pink, Kanki expected most pink Ulaya either to be really nice or really mean, hopefully this one was of the nice kind.

Nimue laughed softly, glad that the other didn't take offense. "I'm sorry, that was a rude thing to ask. Uh, my name is Nimue, and it's very nice to meet you, Kanki. You're the first of my kind I've seen in a long, long time." She chuckled again, feeling a little strange that she was talking to someone else for a change.
"Same, well, sorta, I only see the same two Ulaya over and over again but now not really." She got up, "so where do you come from? Did you belong to a pack or something or...?" Kanki was surprised that she had actually asked something without needing to think about it, usually she had been bad at starting conversations and would need a moment to think of a question, and usually they were bad ones.
