So, hey guys, I'm one of the newest guys here ans it's a pleasure. I just wanted to share this little story I wrote 4 tears ago, but dint finish. Self written, inspiration from Lord of the Rings, D&D and a bit from harry potter and Exile 3 : Ruined World.
Anyways, just wanted to hear your opinions of what a 14 year olds work is like. Also, if anyone reads this and is interested, I'm making a forum based on this story, though most of the forum is stuff that didn't make it on paper. Still, I'd like to hear what you think.
I. Everything has a beginning.
It was a cold rainy night in the land of Senrot. Most people slept soundly in their beds, while others were lurking in the shadows of the moon.
A wolf howled in the forests, near the capital of Olunet. The animals were quite nervous lately.
It started when a man, who came from the east stopped to take a rest. He looked as he was been traveling a long way and he looked exhausted. He wore raged, black robes and a helmet. By his side he wielded a great sword. His looks could tell that he could be a messenger. He didn’t look like he was hungry, because there were many stags and other animals around. He raised his head in the direction of the city. He gave a faint smile and in a slow pace began the walk to the city.
But suddenly, out of nowhere, a sound came. It sounded like hoofs of a great horse, only deeper. It was riding very fast.
The man pulled out his sword, witch now was glowing in red and yellow, and stood still. He knew that somebody would find out where he was.
And the he saw it. A huge horse. It was not an ordinary, he knew as he saw the rider.
The rider was a tall man. He was wearing a black suit with a white shirt. His face was pale as snow.
As he approached, the animals in the forest ran deeper, almost if they were afraid. Not a single rat dared to look at the thing.
The messenger knew that this creature was from the dark North. It was clearly one of the vampire horde scouts. No other place you could find greater and faster horses.
As the vampire drew nearer, the sword started to smoke. It could not have been an ordinary sword, and it must have bean given to this man with a reason.
The vampire scout began:” Foolish mortal! Did you really believe that you could make it in time? Give it to me, and I shall spear your life or even grant you with the gift of darkness!” He hissed and waited for response.
Arteroth, witch was the man’s real name, replied:” I was give orders from my lord, and not even the rulers of the night can make me betray my lord! I am not afraid to die. There is not a power that can take the Belts from anyone, you have to know that! So be gone, shadow! Or else you will have to suffer the wrath of Salamsars!” he yelled as he raised the sword, witch was now burning in a great flame.
The vampire, clearly frightened, made a hiss and ordered the horse ahead. He came at the man, with great speed, while the man was standing still, but very intended. Death was upon him.
Then a flash............ And they were both gone. The only thing that proved that nights fight, were some hoof prints and a strange parcel and a sword next to it.
At the same moment eight people awoke on Earth. They did see the same thing too.
II. Memories of nothing.
Strangely, but really, all of the people were 14 years old and liked to read.
The first was from the USA. Her name was Michele, but she preferred to be called Arkatrisha. She was dreaming to be a hero in a forgotten land of magic and wonder. In computer games she always wanted to be an assassin or a thief. She had a great hearing and excellent eyesight. Also swift moves and fast reflexes.
The second one was from Canada. His name was Jake, but didn’t like it. He wanted to be Rune. He was a genius in history, especially Scandinavian. His dream was to be a runemaster. His knowledge in runes was unbelievable.
The third was from Egypt. Her name was Isabelle. As all the others, she wanted a different name. As she spoke to herself she called herself the Mirtenore. She was interested in dark arts, but he wanted to do good. She had already preformed some rituals, which she had learned from an old wizard, as he said himself. She was going to be a necromancer.
The fourth human was from Japan. He was named Jashi Ohamono, but called himself Hiu-Hastoketo. He was unusually deft and fast for his age. Jashi was a master of the sword and started to train as a ninja. He dreamed to be a legendary warrior.
The fifth was a guy named Peter. He lived in a little known country of Latvia, but he was a kind of weird person. He loved reading about all sorts of magical stuff. He was a shy, mostly friendly person. His hobby was reading and nature. He was willing to be a druid. He was also known as Piker the Gray.
The sixth was a girl, in the name of Sara. She was a very intellectual girl with nerves of steel. She was also remembered as Helina. She was willing to be a wizard or a mage. She lived in Germany, but was more attracted to Ireland. She had red hair.
The seventh was a boy. He was a master of potions, mixtures and other brews. His name was Hakko. He was an Eskimo. His friends called him “Tracker”. He used his senses when needed to find a quarry. Never the less he wanted to be a hero.
And now comes the eight. She woke to find herself under a pine, where she had spent the night. Nobody knew her real name or folk, but she was known as The Hunting Wasp. That’s because she always wore a black and yellow sweater with a wasp on it. She carried a self-made yew bow, with all sorts of arrows. He was a tramp and made some money, by hunting down animals and selling them to stores in Siberia. Se was such a marksmistress on the bow, she won all the bow shooting tournaments and made some extra money.
Yes, different people from different places. But at the moment they did not know that they should soon meet. But the strange thing was that all of them were sleeping, eave though some were in the middle of a day.
They all woke up like a flash. Somebody called their names, before they woke up. They all looked around and discovered that nothing was changed. So before getting out of the beds, where they all had slept, they looked at their clothes. There was something slightly different.
At the top of the pile of their clothes was a belt. All of the before mentioned kids had a belt on the top of their clothes. A belt with a red jewel in the middle. They remembered the dream and that the man was talking about some Belts, but then they just thought that it was a small gift from someone who didn’t want to disturb their sleep.
Immediately everyone got dressed and tried the belts on. They looked at them and then decided to take them off. They didn’t.
The belts didn’t even move. Not tighter or looser. They just stayed on perfectly fitting.
But then the jewel started to glow. On each belt it had a different color, and it was shining in that color. But then it stopped. It was shrinking into a beam and pointing at the door. Each and every one of the kids went to the door and opened them.
A red flash and they were gone.
