I've heard of it, understand the basic principals of its workings, but I do not play it. I far prefer to keep within the confines of the 3.5, and possibly 3.0 edition rulings. I'm sorry to say that it is very unlikely that I will be joining you for an ad&d game unless someone decides to run the The Counsil of Wyrms module; I've heard some spectacular things about that adventure.

I wish I could, but alas, I have neither the information to do it, nor the DMing skill.

The game on newgrounds does NOT do this version justice. Trust me.

I like the system. A 10th level wizard is alot more powerful than a 10th level thief... and takes alot more experience to get there. It's better balanced in different places than 3rd edition was. Except for monks. They've got alot to kick about in 2nd.

Is the monk in the Orental Books? I haven't seen that book, let alone purchased it.

I... uhh... don't remember. I know they were in the Players Handbook my dad has, and his collection is a mixed bunch of 1st and 2nd edition. The monk is really underpowered, compared to other classes, though. If you can find an article with the title "He's got alot to kick about" from Dragon Magazine (presumably from the 70s or 80s?) that fixes it. Otherwise you could ask for the same experience requirements as a fighter, or a little higher, if you're playing one and concerned about being left behind by the rest of the party.

Well, speaking of first edition... I heard that a level 1 ninja can take out a Red Dragon in one hit with somthing called Skull Pierce.

No, but we're getting off topic. Would you like to play a 2.5 Campaign?

Sure. I may need help with the rules, as my dad's books are across the country with him, though.

Well, I have a collection of Word Documents that my friend typed. It is a word for word copy of what is in a majority of the handbooks. Anything else I can explain.

OK, then, I shall PM you my email. Will this be play by post or by mailing group? I'd like to be an elven ranger or cleric or fighter/wizard, as I like to use magic and deal weapon damage.

Alright, but if you choose to multi-class I will have to explain the rules. And see if you can recruit others who would be interested. And I'm not sure how I'm gonna run this yet.
