Background
The peoples of the world of Thresa took their planet for granted for centuries. They did not bother to care for her, and eventually she began to die. Thresa could no longer support the people who lived there, and so they decided to leave.
The most brilliant scientists the world had to offer came together to come up with a solution. They built a ship. A ship so large that it could hold hundreds of thousands of citizens. The people of Thresa would leave their home on this ship in search of a new planet that could support them.
This ship does not have speed, however. It's bulk was the main priority of the builders, to save as many of the citizens of Thresa as possible. And the ship has everything it needs to sustain itself. Lifetimes will pass aboard the ship, children growing up and having their own children without ever setting foot on land or breathing a breath of unfiltered air. The people who live aboard this ship have to sustain their way of life until they find a new home, but they never give up hope that they will find a home someday.
Races
Immortals: The Immortals are often said to be physically perfect. They are one of the oldest races of Thresa, and have held onto their age old traditions. Though not truly immortal, they have the longest lifespans of any Thresian, the oldest recorded lived nearly five thousand years. The Immortals have a strange tradition. At the age of majority, 100 years, each immortal boy has the symbol for his name tattooed onto his chest, and will go shirtless for the rest of his days regardless of weather.
Example
Angels: The second most long-lived race on Thresa. A full-blooded Angel will have large feathered wings powerful enough to allow them to fly. Unfortunately there are fewer and fewer full-blooded Angels each year. The more diluted the Angelic blood in an individual, the less evident their wings will become. There are few who can fly, and most have smaller wings that serve little actual purpose.
Example
Divers: This race of people evolved on a small batch of isolated islands in the middle of the planets one large ocean. They spent a great deal of time in the water, and eventually evolved to be able to live as well underwater as above. Divers have gills that function as well as lungs, and fins on their wrists and ankles. Often their skin is tinted blue or green.
Example
Crossbreeds: An artificially created race that is a blend of animal and Aranian DNA. Though originally created in a lab, they have grown into their own people through the ages. Some hold more animalistic traits than others, depending on the amount of animal DNA mixed in with the Aranian, or how their parents have bread with other races.
Example
Aranian: Compared to the other races aboard the Aranians may seem rather boring. They have no special powers or traits. They are not perfect, and do not live hundreds of years like some of those with which they live. Some have called them 'flawed immortals', but the one trait that they have that is often lacked by others, is ingenuity. They were the ones who created he Crossbreeds, and had the biggest hand in the building of the ship.
