So for the last few months I've been working on this series of 3 pieces (Which will actually be more than 3 if I ever really get these 3 done) that are supposed to be of my 3 main characters from my comic that I've been "working" on for the last 2 years ago and they're supposed to be done in Tarot Card format (and for some reason I feel like none of that made much sense but it did in my mind). Anyway, I've virtually hit a complete rock when it comes to all of these pieces because I came to realize that I have completely no ******** clue how to do fabric.

Also, I know about the balloon boobs. They didn't bother me at first but now I'm just starting to find them obnoxious xD;

Texture resources and using a different brush. Seriously. I find there are a lot of things I can't do when I use a smooth brush, so it can't hurt to switch it up. And I know some people squick at using textures (I do), but in the case of a difficult fabric like velvet, it would be worth it.

You're really good at faces. I'm a face fetishist so I'm really glad.

I really like the Mathis, but i think he's missing a bit of his cheek/eye, that isn't hidden by the nose.
Nadia's right arm (our left) seems a bit long? The elbow is going a bit too far past her navel, and the forearm is a bit fat compared to the other. I looove her eyes and lips. xD

Tessa's hands rendered really well. I can't wait to see these finished!

The balloon boobs are definitely there, but I wouldn't say that they are so prevalent that they are really hurting the images.

These are neat characters.

The one beef I have so far is Tessa's left eye. It seems to be slightly off. Her right eye, nose and mouth all work together nicelt but i get the feeling her left just doesn't align with the other features.

You render faces and flesh tones very nicely. As far as fabric toning goes I don't have any advice to add, really. I'd think a textured brush would be the way to go.

@Iconoclast: The only problem is that I'm doing all of this in Corel Painter. And I'm not really sure how much of a wide variety of texture brushes there are for it. Which means I might have to stop being afraid of the Photoshop Monster and actually use it. ...rrr.

@Blaxter: Things like that are probably due to the fact that I get a little smudge happy ahahah. But I'll take not to add more definition to his eye and cheek, as well as fix the arms (which I wasn't sure about since her shoulders are off tilt).

@Dr. Valentine: In every picture I do of Tessa, there's always one eye that just seems a little wonky and I think it's because her eyes are two different colors. I always try to fix it but it never really looks quite right, but it's also probably because I'm still learning how to render eyes.

Oh yeah, and also, tips on doing hair is <3 too.

alright, so I think I deleted the corset layer a good handful of times so far and this is probably the more successful attempt. But I'm using photoshop and I'm kind of a noob to it so I don't quite get how blending works D:

the only thing about the face that bothers me is that her green eye is noticeably higher than her hazel one. usually even from an angle the eyes are in a line pretty much perpendicular to the line dividing both sides of the face, but here they look a little slanty. i opened it up in paint shop pro (the worst image editing software ever btw) to show you what i mean

here's your original:

and here's after my editing

psp is little more than mspaint with layers, so sorry if the rendering i did looks rough and pixelly, its just to give a basic idea ,_, on the other hand whatever your using you are able to render FANTASTICALLY with. her skin looks amazing @_@

I love her colors. It's soft and fun. Kinda like a strawberry shortcake of sorts. Her right hand seems a bit too small for her though and they are very tense like she's uncomfortable or something. Which confuses me since her expression is very calm and loose.

@Iminey: ah! thanks~! I'll be sure to fix it @_@

@slopii: please do D:

@Siin: Both of the hands are tense since they're both holding/grabbing onto something xD; The hand in the air is going to be holding a scroll type thinger and the hand on her lap will be pulling up the fabric of her skirt. And I don't think I'm really going to be able to make the hands bigger haha, they'll have to be sacrificed for the greater good

Oooooh, I get it now. Since obviously it's an unfinished piece, I didn't put much thought into the background lol. Silly me. Can't wait to see a more sketched out version of the background with her updated foreground. surprised
