At first glance, the ship anchored at Pier 13 appears to be an incredibly ornate ship. Its graceful curves, outstanding colors, and unique design make it stand out amongst the other vessels along the waterfront. However, the Unlimited is not a seafaring ship; it is an airship. What it is doing parked where it is, far from any facilities or airlanes, is anyone's guess. It seems that it shall remain a mystery until the owner of the ship emerges from its depths; Pier 13 is haunted, and the previous owner won't speak anything of the place or its new master.

Passerby have quoted that they have seen people moving boxes and furniture into the boathouse. Who could they be?

01/06/04 - I just landed at the pier again. I REALLY. Don't feel like seeing what those two are up to this time. I did go grocery shopping for Miyako's favorite foods before I left, but she can wait another night. Not terribly much to comment on now, so I suppose I'll just try to get some sleep in my cabin.

12/22/04 - Meriko and I left on assignment today. Good riddance. We're docking for supplies in Tenos so I'm scot free for a few days at least. YAY!

12/20/04 - Miyako and Madino just don't get it! A temporary port is a temporary port, NOT a home! We don't stay in one place for a reason yanno, I just hope they realize this and stop this foolish notion of camping out in the house! But alas, there's little I can do when Madino sets her mind on it, and Miyako pretty much does anything she says. Well I have my own things to do, and they're not getting me to help. Nooooo siree.

Meriko didn't help, at least. She had her own priorities, namely sitting on the top deck sunbathing.


12/18/04 - We landed in Port Gino Harbor today and proceeded to Pier 13 to complete the deal with old man Harper. He seemed excited to be rid of the place; I found it strangely welcoming. The port fit the ship perfectly; it would take some work to turn the dock into a proper boarding ramp.

The property was actually quite large. The boathouse was in bad repair and the attached house was small and had long since lost its paint, but both buildings were sturdy. In addition, a large plot of land along the waterfront was part of the package. A large tree stood proudly among the weeds and tall grass atop a hill overlooking the harbor.

After completing the deal, old Harper hightailed it down the muddy path, out the gate, and out of site. Being as it is only a temporary harbor for the Unlimited, I took one last glance around before climbing the ladder and returning to the bridge to check Uha'la's coordinates for the next run in the computer. As I shut the hatch behind me, I felt a strange feeling for the place outside the graceful curves of the ship...
