I Have a Story...

Reno is Kentiphae's older brother, about a year older. He was raised along with his brother, but he was always favored above his sibling, seen as more handsome and smarter. His brother envied him for that, and disliked the way that Reno constantly bossed him around. Reno and Kentiphae bickered endlessly about anything and everything, driving their parents over the edge with their endless differences in opinion.

Reno was an impulsive Fafner who would say anything that came to mind without thinking of the consequences. This, combined with his enjoyment of stirring up chaos, often landed Reno in a lot of trouble with others. His best friend Anikai was usually needed to coax him out of one scheme or another. He never meant anyone any real harm, but he lacked a lot of common sense in his train of thought.

When the time came when Reno was almost an adult, he became restless. Reno couldn't stay in one place for long - he had a sense of liberty that meant, to him, that he couldn't get 'tied down' to one area forever. He wanted to go out and explore the lands beyond the boundaries of the clan. So he left, leaving nought but a note explainng he had moved on to 'bigger and better things'. Reno learned much of the land and grew to be a great sentinel when he finally became an adult. Satisfied with his 'adventure, he finally decided to return home.

Years passed. Reno came back, wanting to see his little brother. Reno feels bad that Kentiphae is unwilling to let him back into his life, but he's also willing to stay on his brother's good side until he changes his mind. In the meantime, he's wondering if he should truly aspire to become a rebel, or finally search for a lifemate.

All's Fair in Love...

Reno loves to flirt with females, but he doesn't expect to ever actually find a mate and settle down with a family. Contant fear for his loss of 'freedom' has led him to believe that finding a lifemate is not for him. He has to find a female who's truly worth overcoming his inhibitions for. Reno has an eye for females with an active and fiery spirit, leading him to develop a bit of affection for Artemis. However, she's extremely stubborn and is wary of the opposite gender practically as much as he is.

My name is Anikai, and I am a harvester living in Brynhild clan.

I Have a Story...

Anikai is Reno's best friend and also a family friend, and was always Reno's 'voice of reason'. While his best friend was full of energy and a desire to make a bit of trouble, Anikai was more timid and unwilling to commit any wrongdoing. He grew up close to Reno and it sometimes seemed like Anikai spent more time with Reno and Kenti's family then his own. The two best friends spent almost every waking moment together, a motley pair seeing as they were so different in temperament.

When Reno left Anikai considered following him, but then decided that one day, his friend would return, and he had. Anikai is eager to be with his friend again, like old times, but he also hopes that Reno has matured a bit - in their childhood Reno's careless antics often got them into big trouble.

Anikai is as laid-back about romance as he is about everything else, really. Girls are fine, but he doesn't want to engage in heavy drama in order to draw the attention of a female. The girl of his dreams is out there.... somewhere. A big believer in patience, Anikai is willing to wait.

Lotus was born in an ordinary family, though some Fafner might believe that she and her mate, Velten, were created to show everyone the ideal couple. And they are, really - Lotus and Velten are complete lovebirds, which others sometimes find a bit irritating. This old couple (for they are quite old; Lotus has established herself as a motherly figure among some of the Fafner she knows) lives in a modest hut on the outskirts of Attila Clan. Lotus spends her days collecting herbs and berries to make a wide array of teas that she values greatly, keeping each recipe secret and unique. She loves to have company over and always insists on feeding them something. She knows Kentiphae very well, and he looks upon her as another aunt, although they share no blood relation.

All's Fair in Love...

When Apollo falls for someone, he falls hard. He's a big believer of love, and he thinks that everyone has a soulmate somewhere out there. That doesn't mean that he sits around waiting, though. Sometimes, Apollo even actively looks for a mate, eager to find that special someone. Even in the face of rejection, his happy-go-lucky optimist's spirit keeps him going.

When Apollo's not thinking about his own love life, however, he's trying to set up Artemis. Despite her feverent wishes against it, Apollo is constantly 'sizing up' men for her approval. He doesn't see why she's unwilling, and believes that all she needs is a little time to get used to a guy.

My name is Lucari, and I am a hunter living in Brynhild clan.

You can just call me: 'Ari, although this nickname had only ever been used by Tara, and he doesn't let anyone call him that now.

I Have a Story...

Lucari and his siblings, Daliyah and Lucien, lived with their parents in Brynhild. Lucien, the oldest, spent his days watching over Daliyah and Lucari while they played. In fact, they often regarded him as more of a third parent than a brother. Lucari was an outgoing and dynamic child. He had a great voice and loved to sing, always walking around with some sort of song on his lips.

Lucari had one very close friend, and her name was Tara. They told each other secrets and went everywhere together, and it was pretty much obvious that Lucari was in love with Tara. Up until the raids, Lucari led a joyful life.

When the Rebels attacked their village, Lucari’s first instinct was to run off in search of Tara. Through all the chaos, and the thick smoke coming from burning huts, Lucari lost track of his parents and siblings. Only with luck did he finally locate his love. But she was not alone.

Tara was surrounded by rebels, one of which held a dagger to her throat. Lucari let out a cry launched himself into the fray, managing to tackle one of the rebels to the ground. Tara struggled to escape the grasp of the biggest rebel while Lucari valiantly tried to fight off the other two raiders, but it was to no avail. With one fluid motion, the rebel slit her throat and proceeded to pick up Lucari by the nape of his neck, watching him struggle. Lucari set his eyes on the limp form of Tara, lying in the dust, surrounded by fighting on all sides. Firelight cast an eerie glow over her features. Lucari turned away – he could not bear to watch. It can’t be… She can’t be…

“You see her, boy? You don’t want to end up like her, do you? Now, I’m going to be nice, and let you go. Be a good boy and run along, before I change my mind” he whispered in his ear, before throwing him to the ground. With a sinister chuckle, he sauntered away with his comrades. Lucari scrambled to his feet, tears pricking his eyes. He rushed blindly into the forest, running all night, trying to get away…

Lucari woke up in the morning, dazed and confused, in a hut on the outskirts of Hreidmar. There were strangers surrounding his bed, Fafner he’d never seen before. They asked him questions; Where he came from, who his name was, and how he came to lie sprawling in the forest on such a treacherous night. Lucari opened his mouth to speak, but found that he could not answer. The shock from the previous night had robbed him of his voice. The glint in his eye, the spring in his step, it was all gone… replaced with depression and guilt. I could have taken them… I could have stopped them from killing Tara he thought to himself, over and over again. He found himself a small hut in the forest once the raids had finally passed, and proceeded to live alone, dreaming of his family and his lost love.

Lucari had been interested in Riley since he first met her, and the feeling strengethend when he saw that he did not drive her away, as he did to others. He was unsure in the beginning, unsure if he wanted to let go of the past and let Riley enter his heart. However, he's resolved his inner conflict in favor of spending the rest of his life with Riley.
