The dark-furred lioness crooned softly to herself, a slow, quiet song. Her long tail lashed methodically behind her, as though she'd walked this walk a hundred times. The old huntress quirked a scarred brow and then stopped for a moment, her slow walk not really seeming as though it had ended, as she shuffled her paws in the place she'd stopped. Liga could feel the foot falls of a thousand other creatures under the soft pads of her feet, vibrating through the dirt and stone and countless other materials that made up the earth below. The old lioness wondered to herself just what the vibrations bounced off of out there in the earth core, but it seemed of little importance, for now.

She glanced about nonchalantly. This area was devoid of company, for now, which was just fine by her, perhaps she had enough cover to lay for a quick rest. Liga stared at all the stumpy, mangled trees that grew about her, surrounded in their own, by scrubby little bushes; missing their leaves, as it was still dry season. Blue and mottled fur blended with the shadows of the gnarled up little tree that Liga had chosen to sit under, time being, and her dull, clouded over eyes watched everything around her, though they did far from see clearly.

Roho had wandered away from the swamp lands, if only for a bit. A secret bit of him did miss the firmer, harder ground that the other lands had. It carried his weight better, gave him a stronger step (a dryer one too), and also, it gave him the chance to take a good look at the sky. His mother's intuition was right when she had given him his child's name, Juu had meant high up, or the sky. And his true name reflected that, as well.

His ears caught a small hum of a song behind him. Oh? His white mane shifted as he looked around, seeing another creature just a bit off. It was hard to tell exactly what it was, but also easy to tell that it was a feline of some sort, taking a break.

Should he go introduce himself? They were not on Jini-msemi lands, but what if they were looking for the pride? In a good manner, anyway. Aushi had originally came here merely looking for a home, maybe this stranger was too.

He picked his paws up and slowly began to walk towards the stranger, hoping that they were friendly.

Liga had closed her half-useless eyes for a moment and was breathing slow and deep, when she felt other footfalls; closer footfalls. She opened one eye and lifted that same scarred brow, glancing in both directions as far as she could, her gaze falling upon a dark figure, slowly wandering toward her. The old lioness' first instinct was to get up and take a defensive position, but there was a small hope that this strange creature might be able to tell her why the lands had become so different once she'd started wandering through these parts. "Excuse me there." She said, a slight harsh tone to her voice as she pushed herself standing, flicking her tail with the smallest amount of irritation; "I'd appreciate if you didn't come closer, for now." She spoke softly, though sharply, now.

"And if you don't mind, have you any idea of where I may have ended myself up?" The blue-furred female inquired, thinking that possibly she was a little rude before; though it wasn't worth any apology, unless the other mentioned that they thought she had been rude. Liga flicked her tail tip again and then her ears, tilting her head slightly and staring at the other for a moment, looking them over as best she could from where she now stood.

She hadn't really been looking for anything in particular, but being a traveller, as she was, she was hoping to find something new and exciting that she'd never seen before. Last place she'd been were strange jungle lands, where there were lions that lived in a large, hollowed out tree that was full of strange human objects.

Liga had once been told of strange lands with overgrown trees, and squishy soil, with waters that were dirty and grew fungus in them; and thought it was almost crazy there were lions that would live there willingly. It wasn't really that she was trying to find them, per say; but more than she was curious, and wondering if they might welcome a traveler into their lands temporarily, to explore, and learn; and possibly make stories to tell of it.

Good for letting her mind wander; she thought, shaking her head and then returning her thoughts to the stranger that had wandered her way, hoping that she hadn't gotten herself into any kind of trouble. Though, a lioness of her age was able to handle herself perfectly fine, there were certain things Liga wished to avoid, if at all possible.

Roho's brown ears, peeking from his white mane, caught the voice of the other creature. It sounded femenine, if a bit aged. And while not sweet, the tone used in the voice was not harsh, either. Fair enough with strangers.

"Oh," he said, letting his paws rest where they were. "Alright." He flicked his ears forward, listening to the other intently. So, a wanderer? He remembered those times, though they really were not that long ago. But still, it was a memory that he would always have with him, as many of his pride, the ones born into it, had.

"Well, ma'am," he nodded. "You're just shy of my pride's lands, the Jini-msemi." He assumed that she would have no idea what he aws talking about and ask again. It was typical, as it seemed not too many outsiders seemed to know about their pride, even though the adolescents of the pride were released into the world to find their true names bits at a time. He would never understand it, but perhaps that was part of the way of the spirits.

The old huntress smiled wide and flicked her tail. "I am, am I?" She mused quietly, flicking her ears more forward than they'd already been, clearly loosening up a little. "How interesting..." Liga trailed off, closing her eyes for a moment and pondering to herself. Many thoughts ran through her mind. She had wanted to at least visit said Jini-msemi lands, although...she didn't want to seem rude by asking. Though, the old lioness had learned many times that the best way to get what you want was by asking, and it wasn't as though she could just go about and sneak into them. That would be ridiculous.

"Excuse me, but may I be permitted to ask something of you?" The black-spotted lioness opened her eyes again and offered the younger male a kind smile, flipping her tail from side to side as she sat under the little tree. And she'd changed her mind completely, she was quite happy for the company now, as she'd just been wondering about the lands this handsome young male had mentioned, though it probably seemed weird, for her to have already known about them; but when you get up there, and have seen as many things as this old huntress had, there were things you just...already knew, sometimes.

Roho was a bit curious on why she seemed so...well, was quiet the right term? He shifted his weight around, his paws settling themselves on the soft earth below him. He wasn't very good at being proper, and he knew that he should show respect to the elder before him. Well....he'd probably be dead meat for the swamps if he ever mentioned that outloud, so he made sure to not mention that. He did want to see Isha again, really!

His attention centered right back on the lioness, though, when she began to speak to him again. He was surprised, really, but thought it was a very nice and polite thing to do, to ask before truely asking a question. "Certainly, ma'am," he said with a nod. "If I can help you in any way, I would be glad to!" Plus it was a good example of his pride, if he was as polite and helpful as he could be.

Liga smiled kindly at the younger lion, nodding her head at him and curling her tail around her bottom and over her paws, tail flicking ever so slightly. "I'm curious...would your pride possibly be willing to accept a temporary visitor?" The blue-furred female began, then paused, laying her ears back and turning the corners of her mouth down for a moment, brow furled in thought. "I suppose what I'm really trying to ask, is if you would at all mind showing me to your pride? I would love to visit, and collect a little something for my stories." She said, slowly, though not so slowly that the male could find himself bored and uninterested.

The huntress was old and learned enough to know just the perfect tone of voice, and speed at which to speak, that was perfect for keeping others interested. And she certainly wanted to keep this young male listening to her curiosities, since he would be able to help her out, hopefully.

Though, it's not as if Liga wouldn't understand if he were to recline; some things just weren't able to be done, and she knew that it was only reasonable to be able to be understanding about any possible outcome when one was making a request of another.

Roho's ears swiveled around, as for a moment he thought that he had herad a noise. He was more concerned about the idea of someone sneaking up, but after a moment it seemed to have passed. Or perhaps there was nothing there at all. He just wanted to make sure that the two of them were safe. Spirits could still linger around if he wasn't careful, and he knew and believed in spirits. The good and the bad.

Turning his attention back to the aged lioness, he offered a deep bow of respect. "I see no problem with you visiting. I'm not the once to judge, though. If the spirits misguide you and turn you away from where you had come, well, then I can't much help you there. I'm certain that you will find our home with my company, and everything will work out fine." He swished his tail behind him for a moment. "I'm sure my mother wouldn't mind, as well. It is always good to have elders in the pride, to help give out great advice to the young cubs under our paws." It sure seemed like they had quite a few lately. Especially from his own mother.
