Sounds kinda like our situation only with the opposite outcome. Here the parent has to go in to the movie and stay the whole time with the minor. I could go to Sweeney Todd but my sister couldn't go without my dad and he didn't want to. So I offered to pay for all the tickets and all he had to do was sit there.
I went to get the tickets and the guy asked for my ID then asked if the other people I was with had ID. I just told him that one was only 17 but our dad was with us. He said okay and handed over the tickets. Then the ticket taker at the door didn't even bother to check IDs. My dad didn't even have to go but got stuck with us anyway. I dunno why he didn't just leave and go have lunch in the mall or something.

I did that with my brother but it was a long time ago and back then they didn't ask for age when they took half the ticket before going into the theater.

xD0Gx Wait...what is this movie supposed to be about again? o.O Piles of gore or is there an intense sex scene or what? Well, when my sister read the reviews it said it was really bloody and lusty. On top of that a friend of ours who was old enough to watch by himself, said it was even more bloody than 300.

more bloody than 300? you have GOT to be kidding....if it scars me, then I'll agree with you, but what I've seen has scarred me enough that my standards are kinda high when it comes to bloody movies...so for now, I'll say that it's impossible, lusty? pfff...I've seen more lust in my movies and more blood than what sweeney can even offer....

Here, as long as the kid isn't too young (a.i. looks older than 15) they'll let him or her get in as long as there's somebody over 18 going with them. If not, they'll let him if a parent goes in with them. My dad's up for any movies, so we've never had trouble getting into movies with my brother.
I remember back in High School, though. I always used to look a bit younger than my friends because I've never liked wearing make up and I tend to wear jeans and a t-shirt, since they're comfy (that...and that I just looked young). That's why when we went to a movie they'd ask me what my age was and not them. Usually one of them just said she was 18 so they wouldn't give us any problems. None of us were nearly that old, though xd rofl
