I haven't had a cigarette since January 21st, which is last Monday. So it's almost been 2 weeks already.
I think this time will be for good because I got to the point that I cut back my smoking from about 3-4 cigarettes a day to just one, and I had to put it out halfway through because it got so gross. Which is awesome, that's the way it should be. I even can't stand it when I'm around smoke now, because it smells bad, and now that I've decided to make my health a priority, I don't want to inhale it at all.
And besides, I'm 18 now, I've been smoking on and off (mostly on) since I was what, 14? 13? I managed to quit my whole junior year of high school, but started again, ironically, when I started attending a youth group on Tuesday nights because there would be teens on the patio smoking before the service.
But I'm determined to stop it before it gets any worse, before I'm unable to control it at all, you know? I want to be healthy and live a long life, especially now that I have someone in my life that I want to spend it with and probably marry and maybe even have kids with. But that's all extremely weird to think about right now. confused
Anyways, just a small "good job" or something would be appreciated. heart

Ah yeah, I remember when you said you were quitting for good. Glad to see you making it. whee
Most of those who start smoking do it in middle school because they think that makes them look cool and confident, or because all their friends smoke and they say "smoke!". I steadfastly refused, because my grandpa died when I was 11 and I felt really bad about it; he died of heart failure, and that was because he used to smoke like 2 packs every day! gonk
