All traces of day had been swept away in the shawl of the night goddess by the time the nebula dragon finally woke from his day of rest. It was a rather peaceful night, the sky was shimmering like a thousand tiny crystals and the moon was glowing brighter than ever through the clouds. A perfect night to take a small journey throughout the island and that was exactly what he was going to do.

Picking himself up gracefully the male dragon took a deep breath through his nose, taking in all the scents around him. It was damp out which caused the male to tingle with excitement for he loved the rain more than anything. When he could take in no more oxygen Seiki let it all out through his mouth, shutting his eyes as he yawned.

Shifting his focus over towards a small very intricately patterned dire owl he smiled, “Hey Sleepy get up, time to fly.” He watched as the owls eyes ripped open and glared down at him. Yeah, he knew he was sort of rude for saying it like that, but he didn’t care.

Nora the strange owl glared at Seiki for a few more moments before gliding down to sit on top of Seiki’s head, digging her talons in just a little bit for good effect. “You are such a rude painter. Your lucky I was sent here to watch of you or I would have flown the coop already.”

“Haha, stop being so grumpy Nora, it isn’t like I was blowing fire at you or anything. “ Seiki made an attempt to roll his eyes upward to look at the female owl who was taking quite a liking to clawing at his head. “..Do you mind taking your talons out of my skull though?” He winced as she flexed her foot.

“Sure, because I feel your going to need your head on tight. I think we are going to either have company, or meet someone new.” The owl took to the air as she watched the nebula painter rub his head on the ground to relieve the pain. “Get up already. You said we were going some where.”

Seiki blinked at the owl for a second, smiled at her, threw his head up and laughed. “I guess I did, didn’t I.”

Aziraphael trundled along - strangely preferring the ground than graceful flight. It was a late night that she stayed up for. Perhaps it was the moon, or perhaps it was because her companion seemed to have excruciating need of complete privacy for the next five days or so. It was ultimately, probably both.

The want was still there. It had been raining and she needed to dry off. Hiding under a tree did not seem to do it for the small adult. Movement might be better. The cool air was comfortable, the skies beautiful with scuttling remnants and twinkling stars.

As she gazed upon them it seemed as though a peice of them winged through the sky.

"Wait a second," She said to herself aloud, nearly shocking the skin off of her, "Was that an owl?!"

Nora rolled her eyes at her companion, he really was something else. As she flew through the sky she circled around Seiki, waiting for him to gather himself together so they could leave. “Would you hurry it up already, I get the feeling we are being watched and it is MOST unnerving."

Seiki glared at the persistent owl as he stretched himself out, allowing his wings to stretch out fully. A flight in the rain would surely clear up the slowly growing headache he was already getting from the yapping of his friendly bird familiar. Yes. A flight in the rain.

Flicking his dark purple tail Seiki gathered himself together, readying himself for the air when all of a sudden he caught the words of another. Yes, of course that was an owl, what else would it be…. Wait. Seiki raised to his hind legs and searched the grounds, there was another around here and close enough to see Nora. “Hello?”

Nora blinked at Seiki then decided she might as well take it upon herself to search for the other painter. “Seiki stay here.” She didn’t even wait for a reply as she soared around the scrub forest.

“…Youuu whooo..” the small owl hooted gliding fairly close to the grounds before landing in the tree the female was under. “Hello.”

User Image Nashwa stretched lazily as she stirred from her late afternoon nap. She looked at the star studded sky as she rose. She stretched her white forelegs out in front of her and pulled herself to her feet. Today's afternoon nap had run longer than she normally let them, but it didn't matter. She was virtually nocturnal anyway, usually going to be an hour or so before the sun rises and wakes up a little before lunch.

Nash stretched her wings out as far as they could reach before withdrawing them with a content sigh. She folded them loosely at her sides as she hopped down from the nook in the rocks that she was snoozing in. "Mm. Cool night breeze. A bit of a drizzle. Perfect night for a flight." She shook herself and with a clap of her wings she was airborne.

"So it is, owl. Uhm. Miss... Ma'am," Aziraphael started, clearly dumbfounded, "You're so pretty!" She cocked her head a bit thinking, she had heard the other voice now and added a 'hello' towards the sky.

"Are you a living piece of the sky?" She asked simply and adding, "You remind me like my rock collection - all shiny and sparkly, nearly invisible against the night lights... But living instead of rock!"

It was another sandpaint that then caught her attention not before long. Such a snakelike creature, serpintine and quite really feral in her eyes.

After yet another greeting shot up into the sky, she started to climb upwards since the treeline did not allow her to launch herself well enough for a wide enough flap. She reached to the top to see the new pain clearer, and possibly spot the other one that had called out.

Seiki stared blandly at the skies, he was supposed to wait for Nora to come back, and he would be damned if he would allow her talons to dig into his skin again. Frowning at his little predicament he huffed. She better be back soon because I am not waiting forever! His eyes remained on the skies and before long another painter came into view. They seemed to be quiet a bit of fun gliding around in the damn air, something he wished he was doing right now.

Looking in the direction where Nora was last seen flying Seiki decided he might as well take to the skies, it wasn’t like he was doing anything wrong and she could see him in the air. Looking back towards the flying painter he nodded his head, picked himself up and flapped.

Nora’s eyes glittered with amusement as she watched the female painter. “Call me Nora dear. You name?” She twisted her head in the direction of the flying painter and sighed. Seiki would be up there, no doubt about it.

“A.. piece of the sky? HAHA I wish dear, I certainly wish.” She blinked as she heard the hello float into the air. Seiki. Startled by the quick actions taken by the female painter Nora glided into the air and followed her.

“What do you see?”

Nash wheeled around at hearing a voice from below. She spotted the earthy toned female painter and grinned broadly at her. "Hiya. How do?" She looked around. An extra hello was hailed skyward and as far as she was concerned, she had answered at the first greeting, meaning that there was another. The spotted gray noticed the owl and surmised that either it was the earthy female's or someone else's. Someone close.

Nashwa picked up the flap of wings and turned. It was a starry hued male. "Oh, hi."

(( Hehe. Its quite alright. Edit: Hahaha... I forget the brown again. ))

Aziraphael grinned sheepishly as she clung precariously on her treetop. She hadn't gotten the knack of hovering quite yet, but she can certainly bob up and down real fast!

"Hi, Uhn, yeah, I'm Aziraphael," Aziraphael had reiterated the hello once more, - a nervous gesture, "This is some weather we've got!"

She grinned a toothy grin at the totally lame stab. What she probably should have asked was who's side are you on? And then scrammed if something bad was about to go down fast. She could spurt out a sprint of speed like there was no tomorrow... Like a bat flying from hell. It wasn't like she was equiped anyhow. One couldn't just tell who was on who's side anyway. Azira waved amicably, all the while feeling very foolish and fidgity. That starry guy was sure a looker, could be a great spy too in the dead of night.

She was wary, but ultimately liked Nora.

Seiki blinked at the spotted slate-blue female, her reaction was rather blah to say the least. Furrowing his brows together he flapped his wings hard. It was a lot of work flying in wet weather. At least he thought so, which was why he liked it. He loved that burning in his muscles from expending all his energy for a long period of time.

“What brings you to this part of the scrubs?” He glided to the left of the female taking her in as he did so. She was strange looking, in a good way, but still strange. “You markings are rather interesting.” Seiki gave her another once over and nodded. Very strange, very interesting.

Looking over his shoulder he catch sight of another female and Nora. He was caught, he would pay, he knew it. Oh well, I am lucky. Two ladies in ONE night! He grinned are Nora before looking back at the other female.

Nora gave Seiki a flat look before rolling her eyes. “he is at it again.” she sighed as she flew next to the tan female. “I like your name. It is very pretty. Aziraphael.” She hooted at the sound and feeling it produced when spoken.

“The starry male next to that female there is Seiki. He is an idiot, but a sweet idiot. ..Also rather interested in women. Too interested if I may say so myself. “

Azira was quite content to settle down a bit on her tree perch.

"Well," Azira startedd while wondering how much information she'd volunteer, "I was out on a walk seeing the underside of the sky for once. Just pretty restless like the other nocurnals out here." She stated towards everyone.

"Thank you," She said to the owl, Nora, and added aside, "Is there anyway you think he could settle down perhaps?" Aziraphael appraised him with and unmasked look of utter interest. When the world was about to blow, what could you do? She reasoned privately. She would never find a proper life-mate with the way things were going.

Especially that nerve grating voice, that soothing speech promising, always muttering sweet nothings into her head, still trying to get her to join up the dark side. It was very... persuasive at the very least.

((Okay. ^^))

Nashwa had given in to that little whispering voice. She was happy with her choice too. She had met some interesting folk who also decided to settle in with the Qehj camp. Interesting was fun.

She smiled at Seiki's words, flattered and her ego caressed. "I took a bit of a nap earlier. I just woke up all nice and refreshed." Nash's almost glowing wild looking eyes looked down over her own markings. "Thank you," she purred with a nod. "I must say you're quite striking yourself. A piece of the heavens come to life." She chuckled with a little mid-air bob.

"Taking a walk is always relaxing. I've not really taken the time to take a good long one." She shrugged with a grin at Azira.

Seiki hovered gracefully in the air as he listened to the slate-blue female. She needed her beauty sleep did she? He smirked at the thought. As she looked down he did as well, looking her over one more time. It didn't hurt to look did it? "Thank you. I have never been told that."

Seiki stared at the ground for a moment before deciding to glide downward. Why waste energy flying and talking? “Why not come down and rest.” He was speaking to Nashwa, who was hovering above him, bobbing slightly every now and again.

Nora couldn’t help but laugh at the female dragon. Was she interested in him now? Poor dear. “I don’t know. You could try and have him settle down but I doubt it will happen. He thrives on attention.” Nora gave the female a sympathetic look as she glided over to Seiki. Hopefully the other would follow.

“SEIKI I TOLD YOU TO STAY!” The female shouted as talons quickly dug into the side of the nebula dragon.

“I.. GA-OUCH!”

Azira was quite taken aback at Nora's grab and the turn of events, what a sweetie. A pang of green mass of envy welled in her throat but she choked it down again, naturally there'll be other males. Plenty, as well as the oppertunity.

"Indeed why not join me down here," She replied congenially, "The air is just as crisp even if tinged with the scent of wet earth. Plesant. Besides whouldn't anyone want to know where heavens touched the earth?" She added the last comment with a quirk of the eyebrow. Both sandpaints looked swave.

Nashwa decided to follow. She was still mastering hovering in flight so in order to converse with these other Panters it'd be best to land and engage without having to worry about looking foolish while dropping from the sky. "Oh, I be you get loads of compliments. Ohh. Don't mind if I do." She landed easily and folded her wings at her sides then sat down, curling her tail around her feet.

She visibly winced at seeing Nora dig her talon into Seiki's side. "Oof. Tough love?" She gave a light chuckle.

"Where the heavens touch the earth? Not refering to the horizon, I assume. Hmm," Nash mulled over whether or not she had already been told. She couldn't recall if she had. It sounded familiar though. Maybe she heard it from a story.
