-We already have a "Guess the Composer" game; maybe we could have similar Guess the Piece or Musician (performer) game threads
-Avatar contests; either themed or open. Ideas for themes?
Other contest ideas:
-Put together an imaginary CD and create cover art for it, or alternate art for a real CD (records, even)
-Top Ten lists (or any other number) for...whatever you can think of

Maybe a composer biography thing where someone researches their favorite composer and writes general information on them. Then someone else could write about their favorite and on and on. Then we would have a kind of encyclopedia of composers.

Just for the record, the classical t-shirt topic was brought in here from the Classical/Jazz/Blues forum so the members could discuss the idea...and possibly work up some kind of a business plan in the guild, un-interrupted by random retards. >_> So I guess you would call that guild business... xp

Despite the time gap from the last reply . . .

One activity that might be interesting for those who write music may be a small composition contest or something like a composition challenge, possibly with criteria the participant have to satisfy.

It might happen once this guild gets a little larger.

I really like that Idea, I've always been a fan of compostion contests. I might even enter that....Maybe give resterictions on certain insturments, or a contest where we have someone "Write in the style of __________" or maybe we could get a picture of a scene, and the composer would have to compose a piece of music remniscent to that scene.

I also like the guess that musical piece idea.

If the forum ever gets a personality, I think a good idea would be to have a "Best of" contset of certian genres. First, have people nominate composers/pieces, and then when those are in, have brakets and voting.

Or, we could create a soundtrack for the guild, and maybe find a place to put it online (Like an FTP or something)
