Grenth sat, slightly moodily on his beloved, incredibly comfortable velvet covered sofa.. It was questionable at time whether it was in fact a sofa, for it had been covered in so many plush cushions over the years that the aerie had been in possession of the Caelum clan that it resembled more of a mound now which somehow retained a vaguely seat like shape.. None the less it was comfortable, and it had become more of a nest recently that his massive velvetine bed had ever been.. For the time being at least, for Grenth was sick. Still. And we all know the best place to be is on the sofa when one is sick, not the bed. The griffin sneezed again, giving the room a fairly moody eye as he tried to will another roll to roll onto the fire.. The last one had, but he refused to acknowledge that it could have been down to his worthless son's inability to even stack firewood correctly.. He grouched a little at that note as well, musing once more what it was that he should be thinking of saying to his son in law to be's father.. It was a thought thought indeed. How did one convince another noble that one's scruffy son is in fact the perfect choice for theirs?

Ornella was in her usual lurk, in the kitchen eyeing the boiling pot of water with some intent. She'd not honetly ever had honey and leomon before, but had found she had really quite the taste for it now, she found the flavour tart yet sweet, and it really did do wonders for the achy complaint of a sore throat.
A few minutes later with a cup clasped between her hands she trapsed her way back into the living room again, the most often used room in the aerie, at least as far as she was aware, and, trailing a large amount of the blankety wrap thing she had lifted on her way to the kitchen she shuffled back towards the chusty sofa thing, and the.. hmm.. the rather moody looking griffon that was settled on it.
"Well now, isn't that a stern face," She stated, moving closer to the couch and leaning sideways so she could look Grenth in the face easier.
"Some unhappy thoughts there huh..? Oh.. there is some hot water left, I thought you were still dosing or I'd have made you some blackcurrent.." She absently lifted a hand and petted the top of her kind abductors head.

The old griffin stuck his chin out a little, drawing himself back from his slightly surly, questioning thoughts, his eyes travelling up the figure he just knew was naked under the soft throw the witch was favouring at the moment.. That thought alone cause him to falter for a moment, pouting.
"I'm not stern.. Just not particularly happy.." His eyebrow arched marginally, the frown turning to a softer slightly irritable look. He was still incredibly uncomfortable despite his illness at last starting to lift from his body.
"And I certainly wouldn't worry yourself over the black-current.. I'll go and get it myself if I needed it.." The expression softened fractionally more at that, "You don't need to worry yourself you know.." He lifted a arm, holding the throw he had curled up under in an oddly feline way.. Like a lion, which was fitting in hind-sight, inviting her closer and back to the place she had vacated not all too long ago..
"You may be able to help me actually.. I need to meet someone when I'm better and I've been wondering what I'm going to have to say to them on a.. Sensitive matter.."
PostPosted: Fri Feb 01, 2008 3:25 pm

Ornella took the offer of curling back up under the throw and, by the amount of leg that showed as she stepped over him, likely confirmed his suspicions about her state of dress, or undress as the case seemed to be in all honesty.
"If you do want a drink, do let me know, I think I'm still somewhat better than you are dear.." She stated, lifting a hand to gently pet his cheek as she curled herself comfortably against him, he was warm, she found the aerie cold, and though more clotehs were an option of course, the fact that she had brought none of her own with her, and the general fluctuations in her temperature due to the fever made cuddling somone while snuggle a blanket a far easier option.
"You're like a big cat.." She stated, amused as she snuggled comfortably down again, her finger dancing over his cheek once again, almost as if she was feeling for the sensitive whiskers that would have been there if he had indeed been more feline in form,
"And you need my help..?" She sounded interested now, not overly so, but at least not un-interested,
"What can I possibly do to help you, and please, tell me it doesnt involve my magic.. I think I've had enough fun with that for now.."

The eyebrow arched even more for a moment at the appearance of the shapely and evidently bare leg indicating that yes indeed, Ornella really had stripped right down this time.. The thought of looking up as she stepped over him did cross his mind albeit briefly, but the response in the end was to let his feathered ears droop a little to look slightly moodily to the side, especially as she reached out to touch his cheek.
"No no, I'm all-right.. Honestly I'm starting to get sick of the black-current now as well.." He grumbled gently, making sure she didn't misinterpret his grouching, "Mrrph.. Well I am a griffin, dear.. Part lion and all.." He chuckled a little pushing himself over to lie on his back, rumpling his wings into strange angles and doing all manner of strange things to his feathers at that. For once he didn't appear to care, and with a softer expression still, at last, he shifted Ornella more comfortably against his side, patting a hand down onto the curve of the small of her back, flopping his head down onto an overly plush velvet cushion he found behind it, peering down at her down his roman nose.
"Well I was wondering about the situation with the boy.." He started, "I don't know if you've met the object of his desire, the elemental nymph.. Zassrial, a very sweet young man.. Looks more like a woman I have to say myself.." He grouched again for a moment, curling a lip slightly, revealing a slightly pointed canine, "Have to wonder if he's just muddled there.. Nothing wrong with a lady.. Why on earth does he need a man that looks like one.." He rambled for a moment, the train of conversation soon deteriorating into muted mutters as he became distracted by the thoughts of his horribly wayward son.

Being tucked back against the griffon was again somthing she wasnt going to complain about, again, the arm, the comfy, that kind of thing, it was all nice and it just generally made feeling ill a whole heap more bearable.
"Its a shame you're not liking it now.. we'll have to try and think of somthing else to soothe your poor throat, we don't want it going all raspy agian now do we.." She stated, resting her head on his shoulder for a moment as she curled herself against him a little more, not at all minding the hand that had come to rest on her lower back.
She let him talk, explaining about his son and the nymph he apparently had some feelings for, femineine, boy.. tooth.. really pointy tooth. Without thinking at all she had simply lifted hand and poked her finger against it before blinking in shock..
"Wow.. that really was pointy.." she looked at her finger for a moment in a slightly confused manner,
"It actually hurt a little, huh.." she seemed to have been slightly lost to the mutterings before hand, all that mattered now was that he had a pointy fang and she'd pricked her finger on it.

The griffin jumped a little at the sudden jab to his mouth, opening and closing his mouth for a moment, making almost tasting noises. That had felt decidedly peculiar, making him frown for just a moment as he gave the witch a slightly perplexed look.. The frown was soon gone once again as an eyebrow was quirked at her,
"What on earth was that for, my dear..?" He queried, leaning a little closer to her, reaching up to catch her hand, "You didn't hurt yourself did you..? Ah.. Got a little carried away with jabbing the sharp one then..?" He mused gently in one of the more soothing voices he could.. More like a strange growling purr, but he honestly meant well by it, giving the finger a gentle lick.. Then he paused, ears flicking down slightly wondering why on earth he had done that in the first place.. He let her hand go with a disparing groan,
"I'm becoming feral.." He groaned again, flopping back down onto his back into the soft cushions, thought he did not let Ornellas hand go, inspecting it again just moments later.
"I think you'll live, huh..?" He told her giving the tiny cut another lick and cuddling her against him. The thought had never really occoured to him that he wasn't wearing all too much either since he had taken up residence amongst the heat absorbing velvets and fleece throws.
"Wait.. I was saying something, wasn't I..?"
PostPosted: Sun Feb 03, 2008 4:24 pm

Ornella it seemed was as as confused by her own actions as Grenth was, why on earth had she poked him in the mouth? What possible reason could there have been for that totally random action..? You didn't just poke people like that.. especially not in the mouth, it just wasn't the done thing..
She sighed slightly,
"I really don't know why I did that.. curiosity I suppose..? Wanting to see if it was as sharp as it actually looked..?" She shrugged a little, slightly rosy cheeked in her slight embaressment.
The lick on her finger did more to amuse than worry her how ever, and she shifted over slightly as he lay down again, the tug on her hand which he was still holding encouraging her to curl against him again whether she had really concidered it before or not.
"I think I'll survive," she stated as she was cuddled again, letting her head rest easilly on his shoulder again,
"I don't think I can possibly have lost too much blood from that little pin-p***k of a wound, though its clear those teeth are more dangerous than I gave them credit for originally." she smiled slightly, nuzzelig his shoulder once,
"And yes, you were saying somthing about your son and how women are just as good as boys.. and.. why does he need a manly woman.. or somthing.." She looked a little confused, as she was evidently not entirely sure what he had said, he had been muttering after all.

The griffin looked perplexed for a moment letting his mind mull over what Ornella had just relayed back to him.. Manly Women.. "What..? Manly women..? I think we may have had a bit of a break down in communications there.." He looked down at her, tucked against him, pillowing her head on his chest.
"Though I don't suppose it matters too much, the problem is still the same," He went on, releasing her hand once he was sure that it wasn't going to continue bleeding spontaneously.. Or shrivel.. Or explode.. He leant down a little to rub the bridge of his nose against what was showing through of her hair, she did seem to have a tendency to wrap herself up completely after all.. She smelt of herbs, it was strangely.. Fresh..
"Yes, the same problem.." He gave the fireplace a somewhat shifty look, wondering for a moment just how long he had fallen silent for while he had thought about her.. Her damn hair!
"I have to convince another noble that the scruff-bag, useless bearded, pathetic excuse of a griffin that occasionally appears appears here, who I grudgingly have to admit is my son, "He started a last, though he couldn't stop the slightly fond look that crept into his eyes, "Is in fact the best possible thing that could ever be offered to said nobles second son.. Now how on earth.. Am I going to do that..?"
Again he tilted his head slightly to the side to give her a questioning, fond, look.
PostPosted: Sun Feb 03, 2008 4:58 pm

"Okay.. so manybe it wasn't a manly woman.." she mused quietly,
"It was some confusion of the two genders whatever way it happened.." she rubbed her face against him a litle to try and clear the cobwebs from her brain, being sick had really done her mind tank no favours what so ever, if there had been fish in it before they were either scarce, or extinct now...
"Your son want to get married, and you have to make it happen.." she mused, her face still smooshing now and then against him,
"Well, I suppose you should really.. hmm.. I know you're fonder of him than you let on, and you could give him a glowing report if you really wanted to.." she tipper herself back a little so she could turn her head up to look at him,
"I mean, you told me yourself how rare your species is.. and its not like you're not noble or anything.. " she flopped her head down again, she didn't usually think of her odd, and slightly grumpy sofa friend as being nobility.. it made her feel a little uncomfortable now that she did, so she put it back out of mind as much as she could.. being mostly naked by a noble was more embaressing than being mostly naken by a not noble.. especially when said noble was also mostly naked as well..
It was all really rather embaressing when you thought it through.. he rosy cheeks certainly seemed to agree with her.
The prevoius pause in his conversation didn't seem to have been noted by her, lucilky for Grenth however.
"I think you should just tell the other nobley people what you honestly really think of your son.. I think that would probably be the best bet.." she said,
"Because that way no one has to remember any fibs when they come around again..."

"Well we got around that in the end anyway.. If the scruffy-good-for-nothing was lusting after a manly woman I would be just as worried about repressed feelings.. But no matter, that has passed at any rate.." He grumbled his words, though his tone was vaguely amused and he did smile a little at them as well.
"I shall have to try to introduce you to Zassriel, the young elemental the good for nothing is so very fond of, at some point. I think you would like him.. I know that I would be quite.." He paused for a moment once again. Would he really be that proud to have him as a son-come-daughter in law..? The thought that he had almost admitted that so freely was as happy and amusing as it was confusing.
"No, I would be quite proud to have him as a part of my family.." He looked down at her again, just at the wrong moment, as Ornella leant herself up to look at him.. His cheeks tried fairly hard to match hers as he got an almost-eyeful of the top of her breasts which were, mercifully, still hidden by her adopted throw. This did, unfortunately remind him of who and what it was they they were pressed against. He cleared his throat decisively.
"The truth would be good, yes I have to agree." Again with the throat, "Shouldn't be a problem at all.. He should be with me when I see Zassrials father anyhow, so any lies I do fabricate to put him in a better light, he'll know full well about.." He hoped he'd calmed down a little by now, though he had curled his fingers instinctively, only vaguely aware that both of them were resting against her.
"He is a disgrace though, that son of mine.. And I shall not have you telling me that I think otherwise of him!" He gave her another amused look, he was teasing really.. Really.. Maybe.
PostPosted: Sun Feb 03, 2008 5:23 pm

Ornella let her friend talk again, he seemed to need the deliberation time, and she was honestly quite happy just to flop there with him and let him talk to her, his voice was pleasntly relaxing anyway, a deep voice.. rather.. well, somtimes he had a feline qulaity to it in the way some of his words seemed to almost be purred, it was a very pleasnt kind of voice, the kind that made you want to hear it more often than it was used.
As he spoke though, she became a tiny bit worried, he was going a little red in the face and seemed to be coughing a little, or at least having to clear his throat..
"Grenth..?" The queried, rather than answering his statement,
"Are you feeling okay?" she began to sit up a little,
"Because you look a little flushed, do you need a drink..?" He was worried about him again... it happened a lot.

Her asking if he was alright probably distressed the old griffin more than it settled him, his eyes widening a little more, letting go of the witch with a pathetic little flail as he pressed himself further into the plush velvet confines of the sofa and it's mountains of cushions.
"No! N-No! I'm quite alright here, honestly, Ornella!" The stain across the tops of his cheeks darkened, his feathered ears flattening a little more against his head.
He cleared his throat a little nervously, berating himself for acting like such a daft virgin. He'd seen women naked before, many a time, he could only think that it was because he hadn't taken a mate for so many years that he was behaving like such an utter moron.
"You.. Are.. Your throw!" He at last managed.
PostPosted: Wed Feb 06, 2008 8:59 am

Ornella paused for a moment, slowly, very slowly putting two and two together, and blinked, looking slightly shocked at the conclusion she reached, oh dear... he was a silly little thing wasn't he... with a small smile tugging her lips up at the corners she made apoint of turning her head away from him a little, trying her best not to let him see the amused expression that she was really trying very hard to will away... oh it was so difficult not to laugh!
She'd forgotten the hullabaloo her taste in clothing had caused when they had first met.. or rather.. he taste in lack of clothing, the same thing was once again seeming to cause him rather a lot of concern.. of course.. a moment ago she had been slightly bothered by somthing very similar himself. his own state of undress.. but now, in the sight of his obvious very great embaressment, and actual flailing, she just couldnt help but be really rather amused by it all..
"Oh Grenth you big silly.." She stated, still not looking at him for fear of laughing at him,
"They won't but you know.. they're only Breasts after all.." She did however have the grace to pull the throw up around her shoulders and cover herself up.. she was slightly embaressed anyhow at the eyeful he'd obviously got.. she really haddn't been thinking there for a moment.

The old griffin tensed a little under her, an ever so slightly sulky look creeping over his features as he continued to curl a little into the cushions,
"Are you.. Hey! Don't you go laughing at me!" He huffed a little, withdrawing his arms from around her, "Don't make me evict you from the confines of the sofa as well! You'll have to go and find another griffin to curl up with to stay warm then." He pouted a little more, hooked nose twitching, "And you know how easy it is to find another of us!"
His feathers fluffed up a little for a moment as he flicked his mane of hair back, giving Ornella a sidelong glance, "And I so know they don't bite.. I did have a wife, you know.." He groused a little more again, the prideful fool that he was.
