ok this is my first real post on here in a while and odly enough it's let you all know that i'm no longer considering myself a christian. i just found the dogma conflicting with things that i know to be true and you can't have both. so as long as you guys don't mind having a satanist on the guild feel i'll continue posting, otherwise i'll leave you all in peace.

Cool, can't say welcome to the club of the non religious since technically satanism is a religion, and at the same time I can't speak for the rest of the guild, but atleast you understand the fact that you can't have both of somthing like most do. You made the choice you felt was right for yourself and that's somthing that shouldn't be disrespected.

Don't worry you are still welcome here. Do you mind telling us what it was exactly that lead you to this decision?

Laveyan although not so much into treating it like a religion, more of a philosophy. and to answer Lithanus i realized that my views on life the universe and morality could never mesh with christian dogma so i made the choice to stick to what i felt was right feeling that i'd never be able to fully change myself intot he christian ideal.

I'm curious, what views are you talking about exactly, if you don't mind talking about it. I might be able to give you a different perspective on the issues. Feel free to pm me if you would rather talk in private.

lol, I left the church years ago... And I am still strong in my faith. It has also helped me accept myself and others for who they are not how much they attend or give to the church. Of course none of the churches I went to were up-beat or growing... quite the opposite in fact.

mostly i realized the most sins are inhrenent to human nature thus to strive to be less sinful is to strive to be inhuman, i like being human.

Now I seriously don't understand at all. Satanism is practically the arch nemesis of Christianity, and of course everyone knows that Satan is the lord of all evil and hates everyone, so why join him? Why be a traitor? And the most shocking in my opinion is that this is a Christian guild, why is it that no one else appears to be as shocked as I truly am?

AXH, Keep in mind we welcome all here, it doesn't mean we condone all beliefs. We are believers in Christ here, but we want to be open to everyone. How can anyone listen to what we have to say, if we refuse to hear them out? We have to come to some sort of understanding before we can truly witness to others.

Ok Lazarus, one thing you have to realize that the sinful nature of man was not what God originally planed for us. Got made us with out the nature of sin, but when man allowed satan to persuade him to eat of the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil against the will of God, we brought sin into our lives. This sin over time took over and became our "default" behavior. So, sin is actually kind of foreign to what was intended to be man. We were created in God's image and likeness, with out sin. It was the fall of man, that brought us into sin. So, what you call being human, is just what you know from what you have experienced and learned from this day and age. You should know that something better waits for us, then just satisfying the desires of the flesh.

What sin is in the Greek is basically "missing the mark" like when you aim for a bullseye with an arrow but miss. That being said God knows exactly the way we need to act and think in order for us to have a healthy, fruitful, peaceful life. The things that we do that hurt us or others in one shape or fashion are usually sins. God wants us to steer away from these actions, because he cares for us and wants the best for us. He knows what will make us truly happy.
